Aoren didn’t quite agree with some of what Kreig was saying but he was polite enough not to leave the man bereft of his opinions. Aoren had met several people who didn’t fear magic and paid their respects to the power at their command. The Drykas man shrugged his shoulders offering little more than a simple nod as Kreig spoke.
“Weakness lies not in knowing your limits but in being ignorant of them. A man who knows how far he can go can push himself to that edge and wisely pull back that he may grow stronger.” Aoren wondered briefly what kind of man the one in front of him would turn out to be. All this talk of magic wasn’t without purpose. He knew that for certain. Though he could see the hesitation in Kreig’s eyes he could also see the curiosity. He could see an underlying thirst for something more, the way he spoke, the way he danced around the issue it was rather obvious.
“So then , not to beat around the bush any longer, when do you plan on learning magic yourself? Or rather, how do you plan on learning it?” Aoren pointed out the elephant in the room. While he had his fair share of interest in keeping secrets he wasn’t one to dance around an issue for very long. He could also see that philosophical discussion wouldn’t get very far with this particular individual.
“I would imagine that as a member of the Order there are plenty of Mage-Knights willing to work with you. Why not approach one of them and seek to understand what they do?”
