[The Temple of All Gods] The Problem with Choices

“ah I see...I wouldn't want to distract anyone...I'll keep my voice as quiet as I can muster” whispered Nivel while she slowly mimicked Valien's raised brows, She needed practice with facial expression and made it a goal of hers lately to mirror any expression she came across. She didn't really know what this raised brow manoeuvre meant but it was probably some way of showing some kind of camaraderie or receptiveness to what is being said. She wondered if it could also just be another custom that Tall Folk use when in a religious setting, Although she had no idea why moving your face a certain way was important. Nivel kept the ridge that represented her brow raised as much as she could to show her respect for the customs of this church...even if she found them to be a tad ridiculous.

When Valien blinked Nivel Followed suit, even if her attempt looked more like her face had been pinched by an invisible hand. She was sure the tall folk would appreciate her dedication to his religious customs. Her mimic of the frown the tall folk made was not to much better, looking like her face had been folded together like a think clay blanket. Nivel wasn't sure how well her use of expression was going but she was having quite a bit of fun doing it. This was quickly becoming a sort of game to Nivel, like some kind of dancing of the face. The pycon felt she should add her own steps to the preformance to see if Valien could mimic them. Her face stretched wide and most of her features flattened as a result, this was Nivel's way of making a smile.

“oh...I'm sorry to hear that” The bit of joy Nivel was getting out of her silly game had flown away. She was back to feeling like a rain storm was living in her head. “Well... maybe you could pray to my god's if you don't have any of your own?” The pycon knew this was a long shot, it sounded like he wasn't really in the mood to do any praying today. “Although it seems like maybe you need some time to think over what you believe, a prayer from a non believer is just an empty prayer after all.” Nivel recycled old wisdom from her father in an attempt to seem more wise than she actually was.

"What are some beliefs that you personally hold dear, maybe that will lead you to the god or goddess that is right for you.” Making this statement made Nivel think over what kinds of things she held dear. The only thing that came to mind was wanting to do as much good as she possibly could, It was why she joined the Syliran Knights after all. Although to be a proper knight she would need to know what gods were associated with the Knights or even with justice and general goodness, She had a suspicion she had been told this information already but may have not been paying proper attention at the time.
“While you think that over....do you happen to know of the gods and goddesses associated with the Knights of Syliras...I'm sure I've been told before but I keep forgetting their names...one starts with a y...It's like Yah..lah..yar...I don't know” She slumped over a bit to show her minor embarrassment that she didn't know this crucial information.
