A city floating in the center of a lake, Ravok is a place of dark beauty, romance and culture. Behind it all though is the presence of Rhysol, God of Evil and Betrayal. The city is controlled by The Black Sun, a religious organization devoted to Rhysol. [Lore]

Inoadar's shock at the man's reaction to his table slap was nearly as extreme as the tailor's had been. But for him, the sudden backpedalling drop into the chair made the poisoner think that the tailor had just been hit by a crossbow bolt. Inoadar spun in his seat to look around, realizing only after the man spoke his name that he had not been attacked. There were no screaming outbursts, or shouts accompanied by drawn steel. The mood of The Spot was as festive as ever.

He found himself amused at the man's excitability, wondering why a man of such touchy sensibilities would choose to live in Ravok, a town where even the most paranoid delusions were probably not too far removed from the truth. He offered to buy Piraen an ale, to calm him down, but the man declined, even going so far as to wave the barmaid away, a gesture Inoadar was quick to reverse. HE would have an ale regardless of the temperament of his current company.

This was all forgotten though, as the man made him a very attractive offer. He was not really all that sure how much bother was involved in a custom fitting, but the thought of a truly "tailor-made" outfit was suddenly quite appealing. 'I can't wait to see Valerius do a double-take.' he grinned to himself, imagining his Nitrozian associate, wide-eyed and slack-jawed to be outdone by his suddenly dapper henchman.

And of course, the promise of "free" did nothing to dissuade him. There was a brief moment where his innate suspicion forced the "too good to be true" warning back to the front of his mind. But this was just a fitting of clothes, and he expected to have them made to hide weapons, so it stood to reason he'd be wearing these weapons during the fitting sessions. If anyone thought they'd catch Inoadar unarmed, it would be their last error.

He wasn't sure what to make of the man's last comment about "a loyal friend". That was nearly unheard of in Ravok. But he shrugged it off, relegating it to the accepted status that he would any man he called a friend. For instance Valerius, or Amolina or Miro. They were as "loyal" of friends as he possessed. Their loyalty going hand-in-hand with his usefulness to them. The day that being his friend provided them no gain, service or security, he would not be surprised to find a line drawn through his name.

He assumed it would be no different with this "Piraen" fellow. He was going to provide him a practice dummy. And in exchange, he would receive a custom fitted outfit, designed with intrigue in mind. He stood with a smile, taking care to do it somewhat slowly and smoothly, and extended his hand. "I believe we have an accord then, my friend."

Piraen leaned loosely on his elbows. He began to rack his brain for the work that was now set before him. There were fabrics to be bought, clasps to be gathered, and measurements to be taken. Of course, this all came after the planning itself which, as things currently stood, appeared to be the most daunting task. This man clearly needed his outfit to have many bizarre functions, and Pi would need to become accustomed to new skills if he were to satisfy all these odd requests.

Piraen tightened his scarf as he stood. He attempted to bring a joyful smile to his face, but he had the feeling that it came across more pained than intended. Piraen took the man's hand, giving it a brief, yet solid, shake.
"I believe we do." As soon as his hands were free, Piraen slid them into his pockets. "On one more condition, though: give me something to call you."

Piraen could care less whether the man chose to give him his real name or the name of his favorite food; he refused to work with a nameless client. Leaving The Spot without a name would not only make Pi feel unsuccessful, but it would also make him feel uneasy. He understood the appeal of remaining anonymous, but a partnership with an unnamed man seemed suspicious.

The tailor waited for the man's response, but he was losing patience. He was eager to get started with his plans. As soon as he had a response, he would about-face and speed out the door. There would be no stopping this project now, and Pi was keen on keeping his progress as unhindered as possible. Piraen glanced at the door before bringing his eyes back to his new client. The only thing now that stood between Pi and his job was...his job.

OOCYou can do the final post and turn this in, if you'd like to.

then a thought should be called a thinking even after it's been said.

The poisoner thought for a moment. He did not want to be required to come to The Spot on some schedule. It would be better to have the man come to him, and at a location that would be reliably consistent. That meant either 'Ino Vations' or the NMSS.

He immediately discarded the thought of the NMSS. He truly did anticipate some satisfaction in turning up for the first time, dressed to the teeth, in front of Valerius. He did not want the man to have any advance word of his attire. Plus, he could not deny the embarrassment of being victimized by incessant, giggling foolishness by Amolina, were she to see him regularly posing for a tailor to fit him for an outfit.

No, it was 'Ino Vations' or nothing. And in that case, there was no reason not to give the man his recognized name, 'Nolan Parnell'. He regularly gave different phony names to new contacts in town, the purpose being to know who had tried to contact him, from the name dropped by the clerk at Tarsin's Boarding House, before he met with them. But there was no reason to do this is at his own shop, with his name on the plaque by the door.

"You may call me the same name everyone else knows me by, 'Nolan Parnell." his hand extended to seal the deal. "I'll be looking for hidden pockets or compartments, that will remain hidden even when the garment is reversed. Unless you have a method to drastically alter the look of the tailoring and color scheme without having to reverse it. Maybe some way to fake an inflated look to add a false look of extra weight. Give it some thought and get back to me at 'Ino Vations'. That is my shop. It's not far beyond the bounds of the Plaza of Dark Delights in the Docks district."

He sat back with a satisfied smile, waving first to Alice Lark, who hurriedly looked away, and secondly to Miss Trenze, who waved back and began to make her way back to his table. By this time, the tailor had already departed. Inoadar had considered following him, but decided that the man may well be expecting that, and taken precautions. Better to show trust now and follow him later, when he might not expect it. Besides, he wanted one more ale.
