A city floating in the center of a lake, Ravok is a place of dark beauty, romance and culture. Behind it all though is the presence of Rhysol, God of Evil and Betrayal. The city is controlled by The Black Sun, a religious organization devoted to Rhysol. [Lore]

Redd hadn't been at all too sure about what she had just witnessed, in fact, she had been sure that Vayl would have been killed had not the other male seem to pass out. Why they hadn't just killed one or the other was a mystery to her.

Silently, she edged her way to the two that looked crumpled upon the ground and she knelt beside Vayl's form, leaning forward so then she could listen to the male's breath. It was there, so that had to mean he was alive right?

Slowly, she made her way to the human's side, making sure to keep her motions obvious and slow, so then he knew that she meant no harm. For she was sure that although he appeared to be out, like Vayl, that he was still some how conscious. This man always seem to surprise her, no matter the situation.

Positioning herself down in a seating position next to him, she leaned forward to listen, holding her own breath as she did so. Upon hearing the gentle sound of breathing, she leaned backwards, her hazel hues peering around the area to make sure that no other predator had arrived yet.

What to do? She had to get Vayl out of the area, just in case this man woke up again and had another attempt at him. So she would have to leave him here, for she couldn't carry two people, it would be a struggle with just dragging even one.

Glancing down at the blood upon the male a sigh settled upon her lips, she would have to cover him some how to divert attention completely to the dead deer, should anything come this way, maybe even rub some dirt into the blood to try and make the scent less... Bloody? She knew that some wolves when they got injured during a fight with the alpha, they would sometimes rub their wounds into mud, she always thought it was to stop the bleeding.

With a shrug of her shoulders, she look to the male's face a soft whisper upon her lips, "If this appearance is anything to go by, then the moon is probably telling me that we will more than likely meet again, so goodbyes are useless."

As soon as she said that, she began to shove some dirt over the top of the affected areas before glancing around her for something to cover him up with. If she left him in full view, he would still attract attention, being as humans were still strange.

Standing up, she hooked her arms underneath the male's and began to pull the male along, growls of pain reaching her lips as her ribs protested at this movement. For a human, he was heavy as petch and it wasn't doing her the world of good. Once she had dragged the male back over towards the shrubs he had previously been hiding, she laid him back down upon the ground, gasping as she doubled over in pain, her fractured ribs throbbing, underneath the fingers that she had pressed over the top.

Right, she told herself as she forced herself to straighten up, pushing the pain back down, she had a task to do and it had to be done before anything arrived. Limping towards the tree, she gathered up a few fallen leaves, taking them back over towards Inoader and scattered them over the top of him. Just in case, she told herself, although unless she spent a long time of putting leaves on top of him, he wasn't fully covered with them, but only enough so then hopefully the rest of the animals won't see him through the shrubs.

Wrapping her left arm around her form, she pressed an open palm to her right side as she limped back towards Vayl. Clearly, she was feeling the pain from her ribs. She couldn't quite ignore it all, simply because there was no adrenaline pumping through her veins.

Upon reaching Vayl, she did the same thing she had with Inoader, she hooked her arms underneath his own and began to drag the male along, silently thankful that he wasn't as heavy as the human, but it still caused her pain. For now, she would drag him back to her den, and wait until he woke up, for she couldn't couldn't him all the way back to the city.

---

Three bells had passed, by the time she had reached the den and she was in a great deal of pain. After lying Vayl's body inside the small cave, she sat at the entrance of the cave, a groan of pain upon her lips.

Well, at least hopefully both of the males had gotten out of their system what they had to get out, she didn't want to do that all over again. At least not until she had time to heal a little more, then she would be able to move a lot more freely.

Leaning her back against the cave wall, and leaning her head back to lightly press against it, a sigh settled upon her lips as her hazel hues closed for a moment. Perhaps she could rest for a moment here until Vayl came to it.

It was not a winter evening, though Inoadar wasn't sure how he knew. He did not know if there was any reason for him to make the effort anyway. He was so tired. And his bed was so...what?...No..it wasn't really comfortable. He sneezed. And cringed at the pain. Every symptom of the flu struck him. He'd had it once already. 'Where is my Noose Vine stuff?' He thought deliriously. It was something he'd cooked up at the NMSS to fight flu symptoms. It had worked pretty well and he'd sold quite a bit of it.

He ached all over, particularly the muscles of his back and side, and he was chilled. He felt as if his bed was soaked in sweat from ague as well. He sneezed again...and smelled...leaves? So his nose was not plugged up. His throat was a little sore, but it seemed like it was just from the cold air, not from any sickness. 'And where is the smell coming from? It's like the woods...and the birds are a lot louder...and there's no sounds of a town at all...no bells, no voices...'

He settled for assuring himself that he'd check it out when he got up. He rolled over and tried to nestle into the blanket, but it seemed to disintegrate in his hands as he tried to pull it tight. Again the sharp ache, that felt strangely sticky. Cold air swept in the gaps that opened up where his blanket came apart. And it crackled oddly, like crumpled parchment. A little more clarity came to the foreground of his mind and he opened his eyes to find streaks of brown clouding his vision.

'What the petch? Am I lying in trash?' he wondered. He recalled being thrown from a window by a Dhani and landing in trash once before. But this smelled like...nature?

His face was wet and he reached up to wipe it. Other wet sticky things came with it and stuck to his face. He slapped dizzily at them and brown scraps erupted all around him. He came fully awake and alarmed now, trying to get to his feet and falling on his face in the dirt and leaves. He swooned and passed out again.

This time, when he came to, he knew where he was. He remembered the fight with The white-haired swordsman. That memory suddenly made him look around. He wanted to do this quickly, but he felt the wound in his back start to bleed again. He needed to get to his backpack, and then to the lake shore. He didn't know what had become of the swordsman, or of Red, the wolf Kelvic girl, but that was of less concern right now. Maybe they'd thought he was dead and left him. But then, why cover him up like that? He had no answer, so he pushed it to the back of his mind. Maybe some answer would come to him later...or come after him...

Inoadar stood up slowly, pausing when blood-loss dizziness threatened to drop him. He kept his posture as changeless as he could while he made his way back to where he'd stashed his backpack. He hardly had the strength to lift it, but managed to stumble down to the water and dig a pot out to fill with water. He groaned with the thought of how he would scrub a wound in his own back by himself. He could twist his arm enough to feel dirt stuck to the blood caked there and decided he wouldn't be able to do much more than wash himself in the lake.

He thanked Rhysol again for the divine grace of the water's known purity as he stripped his clothes off and did his best to wash his back and side. He did boil some water for bandages, which he slapped onto the slashes, then wrapped other around himself to hold those in place as he grit his teeth against the boiling heat on raw nerve endings. He put on his clean extra shirt and pulled it tight to hold the bandages in place as he walked for another bell to reach his horse, 'Handy'. He chuckled grimly at the fact that his horse had not been very 'handy', being so far away.

Though he hadn't really succeeded in anything he'd set out to do this day, he'd had a chance to test his ability with this new Flux magic. If he'd kept his focus, he felt sure he could have avoided being hit by the sword altogether. That was something positive to take away from this. He took a few chimes to tie himself to the saddle. He tried slowing Handy down to a walk, but found that this made him sway more than his usual trot.

It was not easy to find a pattern of sway the fit in with Handy's movements that didn't pen the wounds excessively, but he got the hang of it soon enough. Fortunately, Handy instinctively headed back to the ferry, because he could not have pulled against the horse's strength in his condition. By the time Inoadar got the Trading Post, his wounds were pretty messy again. He knew a few of the guards, and a quick ten gold gratuity was sufficient to get them to refresh his bandages for the ride back.

As he underwent cleaning and stitching procedures at The Healing Hand, he wondered if he'd ever see either the Kelvic or the swordsman again.

Notes

Inoadar wrote:"You play with the handle of that thing like a teenager pleasuring himself. Why don't you just whip it out, once and for all, and we'll see how long it is? All I've got is this." he said, stroking his cane suggestively and mocking a disappointed expression of realizing that he didn't measure up.

*This is one of the best things I've ever read - I'm so glad I was alone when I read that, and I wasn't drinking at the time!
*Vayl, whilst the image/gif were nice additions, it would have been much nicer if you could describe the actions your character is taking with language, rather than relying on pictures. From a formatting stance, if I weren't on my laptop when grading this, the pictures would actually make it much harder to read.
*Lovely thread though, guys, clever arrival time, not having all three of you start the thread instantly :)

Feel free to PM me with questions, comments, or concerns, if you have any.
Also, remember to either delete your grade request or edit it as 'graded'.
Thank ye!
