Rhetoric Level: 9 Competency: Novice Breakdown: +2, +3, +4 At this level the rhetorician will have a tendency to rely on assertions but can construct simple arguments based on immediate evidence and influenced by personal bias. Rhetoricians will use all evidence they know to construct the premises to their arguments, as opposed to choosing the most pertinent information. They are just beginning to learn how to balance logic and emotion in arguments, usually falling to one side or the other. The rhetorician may not yet recognise classes of rhetorical argument but can intuitively use one or two and occasionally uses fallacious arguments. |
