80th of Fall, 514 A.V.
Syna had just fallen below the thin line of horizon upon the ocean, drawing vibrant colors in her wake as most of the world faded into deep blues and Zintila's mantle emerged in the darkening sky.
Voss stood in his human form, lounging against the side of the Coil's Club, enjoying a mug of ale with a couple other Dhani, females admiring the Akalak's strutting by. They joked and laughed, and the Iyvess found himself feeling more at ease than he had since washing ashore and gaping at the city filled with blue men and other humanoids. There was quite the mixed crowd int he Club that evening, a few human females, one or two Kelvic, and a fair few Akalak's enjoying music provided by drums, guitar, and a fast paced fiddle. Though Voss was on call for any need of his talents, everyone was more interested in moving, laughing, and drinking than sitting down to hear one of his stories.
The two females he was standing with were also employed at the club as dancers on a bit of a break, but their pleasant reverie was broken when Lllasssnia's voice broke through the chatter.
"Ssseynia, Lisssnor, you're up!" The two women groaned and Voss gave them a sympathetic look. Sseynia, who appeared as a vivacious brunette in her human form, ran a hand across Voss's bare chest. "You could alwayss join uss up on sstage, Vosss, the ladiess would love to watch you."
The Iyvess still did not comprehend that his human form was quite alluring to others. To him it was a weak and strange thing, so foreign from his more powerful and easily manipulated forms, gangly and strange. He was slowly getting used to the compliments, but he simply waved them away with a chuckle and stepped inside to watch the two women work.
As soon as they entered the club both females entered their role as dancers. Voss realized that one didn't simply have to possess the skill, but also embody this other worldly being that a dancer was supposed to be, formed out of grace, sophistication, and the sexual appeal that he could see reflected in the faces of the numerous Akalak's inhabiting the establishment. As they walked the club parted for them, hips swaying, strutting to the slightly raised platform on which they were to perform.
The music shifted from the upbeat tempo somewhat, slowing a bit, the fiddle getting quieter and the guitar taking over with a more mellow melody, drawing those moving and drinking to slow and focus their attention upon the two Dhani females.
They took the stage as one, and as they did the fiddle came back in, more lilting than the staccato music meant to encourage others to dance. Each woman had a sheer scarf wrapped around their necks, and tight fitting dresses that left little to the imagination. They began to roll and weave between each other, a graceful display that Voss focused upon as he downed his mug of ale and went for another, getting closer to the stage to access the bar off to the side.
