Less than ten days. That's how little time had passed since Keres had entered this city, and the rate of change was starting to increase. Verduth had communicated his vision of a group. Keres didn't share the same vision, but found no reason why it wouldn't work. After all, Verduth had been gathering friends rapidly.

Now it had come down to Keres and Jokor to spend some more money, and after a few hours in the market he struggled under the weight of their supplies, all wrapped up in one of the tents. Keres held up his end of the bundle and began trudging off in the direction that had been indicated.

Verduth had apparently been wandering and found what he described as the perfect spot. When he had told Keres and Jokor about it, Jokor had indicated that he knew how to get there while all Keres got from it was that it was somewhere near the ocean. For now, none of that mattered to Keres, he was just glad to be abandoning their room with its awful smell.

Keres simply tried to clear his mind of the discomfort of the burden and proceeded where indicated.

"The way is very simple Keres," Jokor told Keres as he heaved the heavy bundle on his shoulder." We only need to go that," he swung his arm in a direction," way and we should get there in only a few chimes." Jokor began muttering some obsceneties underneath his breath as he started to walk towards where they needed to go. "Lets hurry up before our backs, legs and other things begin to hurt from this thing."

A few chimes later when Jokors legs and arms began to burn because of the heavy load on them he saw the bleu sea slowly coming inside his field of vieuw.
"Okey Keres." He said as loud as he could out of breath. "Only a half a chime from now!"

OOCEveryone should get their entrance up and then we'll start the posting cycle with Keres. Remember that with this many people, you don't have to react to the actions of every other person. It's a group scene but we're not doing everything together. Pick someone to interact with, join in other people's conversations, or just go off by yourself, whatever's appropriate for your character.

Verduth had to admit to himself that he was feeling a bit impatient excitdly impatient, but impatient non-the-less. He'd split ways with Jokor and Keres that morning, the two men going to get the supplies he'd asked for, while Verduth went to the site he'd picked for their camp site. Now that he was here, he wanted everyone else to be here as well.

It was a place he'd found with his father, long before Verduth had set forth from the Pyve. He had liked the spot then, as now, because of the ocean. It was a good spot, and now they'd settle here to collect their wits about them.

It only seemed fitting to Verduth that with so many people willing to work together, they should live together. It was alike a really big Pyve. He smiled and looked away from the ocean at the sound of approaching feet, ready to greet everyone as they arrived.

AlsoFeel free to include a description of Verduth's reaction to your arrival. Just remember that he's happy to see everyone. And don't forget to notice others if they arrive before you.

This character has been abandoned. Please consider any open threads with him to be finished. I'm sorry but I haven't found the time to finish them.

Postby Trassen on October 24th, 2010, 9:37 am

Trassen had managed to reach the meeting place before everyone except Verduth himself, something he found only slightly surprising. He slinked past the squishy ball of joy, down towards the beach itself. All he wanted was a few moments to set up his tent before the others arrived. And as for avoiding the pycon, he had discovered that while he was likeable, it was only in doses that he could be around such a shining spirit before his mind drifted back towards thoughts best left for people he could actually eat.

He set his tent up as close to the water as he could without risking getting soaked during high tide, which really wasn't that close. Still, he hoped that no one else would follow suit and pitch their tents near his. He had lived the past few years living in solitude, only coming out when he needed supplies or food, and he wasn't thrilled with the idea of 'neighbors'.

Since he was alone, for the moment atleast, he decided to work on shifting into his human form. He had been getting fairly close although the last time he had been 'pale as a ghost's bones' as one drunkard had put it, whatever that meant. His shirt would be able to make the transition, although it would likely be a little loose, and he had a pair of pants in the tent. Slowly his tail began to shrink into itself, scales fusing together, softening, and gaining a pinkish hue. Hair began spouting from his head in clumps. His now shortened tail split down the middle, forming a pair of legs. in half a chime's time, where a tail had slithered up to, a pair of feet left foot prints as Trassen carved a small reflecting pool into the sand, sheltering the water from the tide so that he might get a clear look at himself.

Everything seemed normal, although he still hated his solid, meaty tongue. It made it unbelievably difficult to speak his native tongue, although he didn't have to worry about his signature hiss anymore. From a glance he looked like a normal human, although his eyes still retained their reptilian shape. He returned to his tent to put on his pants before heading to where he had last seen the pycon. He hadn't revealed his human form to him yet, so now was a perfect oppurtunity to toy with him for a bit.

ImageThe ox groaned in protest as Leiwinn dragged it along by its harness, the cart with her possessions in tow. Leiwinn was on her way to the campsite where she would meet the rest of her soon to be circus "family." She was still unsure of the whole operation, but the strange little Pycon was very persuasive, and she knew she would find work better on the move. Unlike many of the assassins out there, her work involved being seen, usually in provocative and memorable ways. Too many deaths in a single city would start to draw attention.

Finally Leiwinn crested the hill and could see the location of the future campsite down below. Already she could see someone setting up their tent as she hurried down the hill and into the site, the ox protesting as she dragged it along behind her. She was surprised to see it was a Dhani setting up camp, but after a moments thought it made perfect sense. Where else could such a creature find acceptance and and profit so easily as a circus, where anything and everything was expected. He also happened to choose an ideal location away from where everyone else would likely set up, a place that Leiwinn herself might have chosen, though perhaps for different reasons.

Leiwinn eventually settled on a spot not too far from Trassen's, but not so close as to invade his privacy, or for him to invade hers. She immediately began setting up her own tent, a large pavilion with space enough for her to relax comfortably and still keep her sheltered from the elements. She had a smaller tent, but she intended only to use it during travel. If she was going to camp, she was going to do it in style. Truly, she didn't mind harsher living conditions, but living the luxurious life was part of her cover. Leiwinn waved to Verduth as she lugged her trunk of clothes and weapons off the cart and pushed it into the tent. Leiwinn untied the ox to let it rest or graze, or whatever else oxes do, then vanished into her pavilion to begin tidying things up.
