A city floating in the center of a lake, Ravok is a place of dark beauty, romance and culture. Behind it all though is the presence of Rhysol, God of Evil and Betrayal. The city is controlled by The Black Sun, a religious organization devoted to Rhysol. [Lore]

The Chaktawe and The Beast [Yoona]

It was around midday, and like most other days spent doing nothing of interest, Yoona once again found herself skirting the docks. Aside from keeping herself around Vera and suffering through Inoadar's occasional religious rambles, the Chaktawe woman didn't really have anything to do, so it'd become more or less of a habit. Just as prone to boredom as anyone else was, she often took to Ravok's streets in search of a possible cure, whether it was watching some drunkards yell at each other or taking a simple walk throughout the Docks. At times Ruki chose to walk with her, but Yoona never minded when he didn't, fairly content with being alone. It was nice to get away from people every once in a while...as much as she already went out of her way to avoid others, getting a few bells of solid thinking time out in the open air was needed.

And there were plenty of things to think about, though Yoona's thoughts always seemed to revolve around the same things. Home, for example; specifically how her mother and father were doing without her. Had they mourned her loss, wept about losing their only daughter? Had they gone looking for her when she'd been taken? And if they had, could they still be looking? Or perhaps they'd convinced themselves that they would never be able to see her again. Perhaps it had saddened them, but they'd decided to move on with their lives after a while. Yoona supposed that she couldn't blame them, if it was true. It wasn't like there was any point to wallowing in sadness for the rest of their lives; she was gone, now, but father would have to find other people to train, and mother would have to keep watching over the local boys, making sure that they didn't do anything stupid.

Heh...the boys. Chechiye and Savali had always been the worst of them. They had a couple of years on her, though, so the Chaktawe woman had been hoping that they'd grow out of their...boyish-ness.

Would both of them have found wives, by now? Nice, tolerant women, who could overlook their immaturity? Yoona honestly hoped so. As silly as they were, she had watched them grow into decent-looking and smart young men. They'd make good husbands.

And while they were out living their lives, going on hunting trips and wrestling with each other, she was stuck here. Trapped, really, with no ways of leaving that didn't hold some sort of consequence.

It was a bitter truth, and only became worse whenever she reminded herself of it. Frowning, Yoona raised her arms and hugged her chest a little, as if she was suddenly cold. That was when her eyes caught a glimpse of a startling flash of red that was in front of her. Curious, Yoona focused on it a little more, and soon realized that it was the crimson locks of a woman. She was sitting on the edge of the docks, seemingly brooding over something and staring into the lake's surface.

That hair...it was awfully familiar...

'The shifter-woman, the one who was with the bowman. Redd was her name, wasn't it...?' Yoona mused, suddenly remembering. 'Right...she was at the temple that time. And then...and then she'd been dragged away...?'

Or stolen. The Chaktawe woman could recall some man having come along and taken the other slave-woman with him, though he hadn't looked anything like the bowman...and now she was here, by herself. Something wasn't right.

A bit wary, Yoona came to a stop and was quiet for a few ticks as she stared at the woman. Then she decided that it was alright to approach her, and took a few steps forward. "Redd? That you, right? Why you out here by yourself?" she asked, more curious than she was willing to let on. "I saw you at the temple...but that man who came and got you, he wasn't the bowman. You knew him...?"

Question after question rolled around in Yoona's mind, but she didn't ask any more, wanting the woman's answers, first. She hated not knowing things, though it was much worse to be deliberately left in the dark.

Woah guys...

If doing Flashbacks, they have to take place before your character was created. You were both actively playing during the season of Fall 514AV.. so this thread either needs to be retconned or the date changed to before start of play for both PCs. Lore page for further information found here.

Sorry, guys. Let me know what you want to do :)
