18th of Spring, 515AV

It was late evening, the streets of the lawless city were thinning as those with a sense of self preservation made their way home and those with a taste for darker things like debauchery made their way to their chosen place of 'business'. Amongst those many people of the night was Raven, the dark haired, amber eyed thief strolled through the streets at a comfortable pace, there was no point in rushing or panicking, such things only made people stand out as easy targets, something which the young thief was not. With the warmer weather came a happy return to her usual black leather attire, an outfit she'd grown extremely fond of over the years and one that she was sure many people associated her with. It was dark, tight and sufficiently revealing, each quality helping with either avoiding trouble or quickly manoeuvring her way out of it, be it through force or more persuasive methods.

As she moved through the dimly lit streets, Raven earned an array of catcalls, stares and comments from passing men, a few even moving towards her, but she kept her amber eyes focused ahead and paid them no attention, most of them either leaving her alone or shouting profanities at her for ignoring their existences. That was until she turned a corner into a street and bumped into a bunch of sleazy looking men that didn't seem to get the message, or if they did, they certainly weren't accepting it. Just like before she ignored them, figuring that they would give up like the rest, but that was not the case, instead the three men, one tall and lanky, one short and burly and the third a very chubby giant of a man, decided to take it a step further and forego their lewd comments in order to block her path forward.

"What's the rush dear? Got somewhere important to be?" The lanky one asked in a very nasal voice, leaning in close to Raven's face as he spoke and then allowing his own to linger there as he smugly awaited her answer.

Annoyed at having stop and acknowledge the creep, Raven finally allowed her amber gaze to fall on the tall man's face, a look of disinterest plastered upon her features as she stood, unflinching, and listened to the man's torturous voice whilst enduring his even more torturous breath. "Yes. Anywhere that I don't have to smell your putrid breath." Her answer was cold yet a hint of amusement lingered within it, reaching her face in a smug smirk of her own.

At her words, the tall man recoiled, a look of rage crossing his face at being insulted by a woman, a rage that was only fed by the sudden burst of laughter that came from his two friends, though Raven wasn't done just yet, "What are you two laughing about? You look as bad as he smells." the amusement in her voice was like venom to its victims, none of them laughing this time. Instead all men, now enraged, took a step towards her, one on each side with the taller one standing in front of her.

"Why you little..." the man paused, seemingly too angry to come up with an insulting enough word, "...whore! You're asking for it!"

With a shout of rage, the tall wiry man's hand crossed over to the opposite shoulder before he swung it towards the woman that had just embarrassed him and his friends in what would have been a painful back handed slap. Fortunately, the attack didn't reach its mark as Raven, who had seen where the argument was going having purposefully lead it there, quickly ducked beneath it, stepping past the man and out of the triangle of surrounding bafoons before turning on her heel and delivering a hard stomp to the tall man's side. The heel of her boot made contact with the soft meat between the lanky man's hip bone and ribs, drawing a pained yelp from him as he was sent stumbling into his far shorter and more muscular friend. "Never. Touch me." Raven spat as she took a practised fighting stance, she couldn't run just yet, not with the chubby man already lunging at her in a rage.

Asking For It[Logan]

The sun turned red and began its slow creep into darkness. Logan watched as it went, thinking about the events earlier today. He had gotten into another fight protecting someone. His job was to destroy anyone who touched his clients, so of course he would get into some fights. Today he kicked a man through his client's door.

Logan thought back to that moment when a cracking sound was made upon arse to door connection, unknown which source the sound came from, arse or door. It was amusing to see. And after Logan had done that, the attacker had ran away from Logan, not particular on looking for trouble with the muscular bodyguard.

Logan seemed to always deal with grunts, never big guys with powerful fighting skills.

He was walking to his home now, taking a casual stroll so as to not draw attention. He wasn't looking for a fight, but in Sunberth fights were unavoidable. The least he could do was try to avoid as many altercations as he could until he was safely in his home.

He had his fingers in his pocket and broad shoulders straight to represent a nonchalant guy. As he began to turn around the corner, a sudden choice of words had called Logan's attention.

"What's the rush dear? Got somewhere important to be?" A delinquent asked, and Logan knew that trouble was coming. Should he be the honorable man and follow the noise to its source and save the possible victim, or the smart man and leave trouble where it lied and allowed the victim to die?

He let out a deep sighed after a hesitating moment and turned to follow where those words had come from. He was never a smart man was he?

Logan made an L turn on a corner and saw three men blocking his path. He thought about tapping one on the shoulder and asking them to move their smelly arses but paused when he heard what had to be the most funniest words he could hear in his life.

"Yes. Anywhere that I don't have to smell your putrid breath," a female voice said past the men. He couldn't see its origins, but could tell from the tone of her voice that she was sexy, and she knew it.

The men laughed to his friends downfall at an attempt at seduction, and Logan stifled a laugh along with them. However, the men suddenly stopped laughing when that female said, "What are you two laughing about? You look as bad as he smells."

Now she had done it. She had cockily insulted all three men at once, practically prompting them to rape then murder her. Logan leaned against the nearest wall and watched patiently. He wasn't going to interfere in this gang attack just yet. Since the woman had brought this on herself, she needed to learn that not being able to back up your talk meant keeping your mouth shut.

As the men formed a triangle around her, he finally was able to see the woman who these men were terrorizing. To his surprise, she was the universal goddess he had seen before! Now he really wanted these men to teach her the consequences of cockiness (he was obvious still a little hurt from their last time together).

He waited for the woman's yell of cry, which would be the symbol for him to move quickly to her defense, but it never came. What filled its place instead was the wimpy cry of a man, and the thump of a body hitting another. With flawless grace the woman had managed to dodge one of the males attack and stomp his side. She moved so fast that Logan could barely see her.

As the man cried, the woman got into a fighting stance that even Logan feared. In his years of fighting he had learned to notice when someone was a challenge and when they weren't, and this woman seemed to be on the same level as him. Logan had to do something, he had to at least warn these men the type of hell they were getting themselves into.

He quickly moved to the side of the only one left untouched, stood by his side and said, "I wouldn't stay and fight if I were you. The other two are doomed, but you can still be saved."

Asking For It[Logan]

As Raven waited for the round man to attack her ears were greeted by the confident rumbling of another man's voice, a fourth attacker? Someone offering assistance? Or just a fool? Unfortunately, the sound of the man's discouraging words was not accompanied by the sight of the mysterious interloper, his form completely blocked by that of the far larger thug that spat an angry "Mind your own business, petcher." before charging toward his original target with a loud shout, apparently planning to bulldoze the lithe woman who had her back to a wall.

The fat man's sudden 'dash' came as no surprise to the young thief who had been patiently waiting the predictable choice of attack. The thug seemed to plan on using his far superior weight to overpower her, but what he hadn't taken into account was her superior agility, so once again, Raven swiftly side stepped the bafoon with a quick sideways crouch and dash, leaving the man to barrel into the wall with a loud thud as she straightened out and turned her gaze to the newest member of their little 'party.

As her amber eyes fell on the form of what was clearly a large, strong and muscular man, she quickly recognised him as the handsome cage fighter she'd seen a few days ago at Tall Johnny's, a sultry smirk spreading across her lips as she regarded the attractive male who she'd almost completely forgotten about. "Fancy meeting you here, White Rabbit." a playful teasing tone filled her voice as she spoke his title, her smirk growing slightly larger for a moment before their moment was interrupted by the voice of the lanky first thug who had gotten back to his feet along with his muscular friend, the larger third member of their little gang still groaning on the ground from his clash with the stone wall.

"We're not done with you, you little tramp."

The thin man's enraged voice did little to intimidate the confident dark haired woman as she settled into a loose fighting stance once again, ready to avoid or retaliate if the men tried another attack, White Rabbit's arrival forgotten for the moment as she focused on the threat at hand. "Well would you please hurry it up, because I'd like nothing more than to be done with you." she said back, taunting them again with her confident smirk, rage flashing in the thug's eyes once more.

Logan gave the man advice, and in return the man called Logan one thing that no one should ever think to call him, a petcher.

Logan's relaxed expression changed and he seemed angry. His jaw tightened and fists became clenched as he watched the man who had made him furious crash into a wall. What a shame, he thought regretting not finishing the man himself.

The universal goddess, who Logan had once longed to have, showed herself to him. She greeted him with a seductive grin and a choice of words that made him shiver with happiness. His anger subsided quickly and he gave the woman the same smirk she gave him, along with a voluptuous wink.

Their moment of flirtatious talk and smiles stopped as soon as it started, courtesy to the man who the temptress handled before, the skinny one not the large one. He stood from his crippling state to say, "We're not done with you, you little tramp."

Another poor choice of words, Logan thought to himself. He watched as the temptress fell into a fighting stance and heard her taunt the gang member for the second time. This chick was confident, and did not shy away from showing it.

He placed his eyes on the last two gang grunts standing and allowed his rage to return. Logan tilted his head until there was a cracking sound then got into his own fighting stance.

"They called me a petcher. I'm jumpin in," he said to the black haired amber eyed goddess without looking at her. He began to jump up and down slightly, pumping his blood for what he was about to do next. "You take the ugly one, I'll take the even uglier one. We'll flirt later, Sexy."

One of his thumbs brushed the bridge of his nose and he suddenly was moving forward in a wild sprint. Who he headed towards was the chubby one, the only one who had barely shown character. He was a smart man for saying nothing up to this point, but he was stupid for not running when he had the chance.

When Logan was a close enough distance he lifted both of his feet from the ground. His knees went all the way up to his chest, while in air, then suddenly kicked forward.

Like a powerful cannon Logan's legs would shoot out and land on the middle part of the mans chest, flawlessly flaunting a move known as the drop kick. The man would drop to the ground a great distance from his original position. Logan would then quickly spring to the downed gang member and grab his leg, capturing him in a limb hold that would cause the man extreme pain.

While he held the man in a leg submission hold, he would calm his festering anger. With tranquility in his voice he would say, "I can break your leg pretty easily right now. I'm going to watch the sexy chick beat down your friends. Move and I break your leg, if she loses then I break your leg. So pray your friends get their arses kicked."

When he finished talking to the man he would turn to the temptress. "Yo Sexy, finish this up quickly will ya?" He would say to her, sounding very impatient.

Still waiting patiently for one of the thugs to launch an attack, Raven was only slightly surprised as White Rabbit spoke up explaining that he would be joining her. Offering only a careless shrug in response, her amber eyes focused on the two men ahead of her, but before either of them, or her for that matter, could make a move, the handsome man beside her had charged into battle, delivering a powerful drop kick to the more muscular thug. The ferocity of his attack drew Raven's attention as she observed his leg lock, the lanky man quickly taking advantage of her moment of distraction and swinging his fists in a series of messy and badly executed punches.

Surprised by the man's sudden approach, Raven was forced into the role of defense, raising both arms as she ducked, weaved and back stepped each of the terrible punches, using her forearms to parry each hit by pushing her attacker's arms outwards, successfully deflecting the haphazard flurry. There were five punches in quick succession, beginning with his right, though Raven forced him to end with it as well. Having had enough of the defensive role, she shifted into a counter, grabbing his right arm as she twisted about, one hand gripping his forearm tightly as the other did the same just above his elbow.

Using the momentum of his own attack, along with the twisting motion of her body and a strong pull of her arms, Raven sent the lanky man flying over her slightly bent form as she threw him to the ground. The thug slammed into the ground, his back hitting the hard ground below with a loud thud and an even louder grunt as Raven straightened her body out, casting an amber glance over to White Rabbit at his comment before returning her attention to the downed thug. "Stay down this time." she teased as she grabbed the small bag of coin from his pocket and turned to walk away, hips swaying naturally from side to side as she passed by her would-be comrade.

Stopping after a few steps, she spoke, watching him through the corner of her eye, "Thanks for the help, not that I needed it." the usual sultry tone of her voice rang out with each word, "And the name's Raven... Till next time, White Rabbit." once again she emphasised his title with her playful teasing tone before walking off once again and disappearing behind the nearest corner. If any of them were to try chase after her, upon reaching their corner they would find that she was nowhere to be seen, seemingly disappeared into the messy street.

Asking For It[Logan]

He had saw her when in his deepest passionate moments. His mind was filled with anger then; anger, regret, and loneliness. When he saw her in all her beauty, his loneliness turned into longing. Like a puppy, he whimpered at her to be his. When he realized who he had become he vowed to never be as such. He wanted to be a wolf, an un-tamable creature who could only be controlled by himself, could only long for himself.

Now, as he stared at her again, he could feel that longing return. That vow was beginning to mean shit to him. And the more he saw her move the more his longing infected his mind. He knew he couldn't help himself, he never could, probably no one could. The seductress would always be what her name applied, the main attraction to all men, their greatest enemy, yet their greatest friend.

With the grace equaled to that of a god, she lifted her attacker off the ground. The thug flew over her head and he once again became well acquaintances with the dirt.

Logan saw; he saw everything from her form to her execution. This seeming damsel in distress proved herself a mighty practitioner. In fact, the point was now well proven what she was, as crafty as sexy.

Logan was impressed, but he didn't look it. He kept a blank look as he watched her grab the change off the thugs body. He gave another silent wink as she thanked him, but said nothing more. His mind was racing with thoughts, so much that he couldn't keep up long enough to form a sentence to this temptress.

Then, she gave him her name. Raven, the bird of death and the darkest color of hair. The name fit her; one, because her hair was a raven shade, and two, because she would probably be the death of all men.

He didn't take his eyes off of her as she walked away. Her hips swayed provocatively, like they were begging Logan to chase after her. But he stayed still and silent, allowing this woman to make the grand exit she wanted. As she left, so did his passion, and he was once again left with his thoughts of her.

He released his grip of the man and stood before what was left. Three men on the ground, one passed out, one crippled, and the other nursing his wounds. Logan spat at the ground then walked in the opposite direction Raven had gone. He kept his hands in his pocket and his head stared up at the clouds. He would need to head home, he would need to climb into his bed, and he would need to sleep.

Asking For It[Logan]

Postby Sayana on June 26th, 2015, 4:36 pm

Before I can proceed...

Hello Logan and Raven,

Both your CSs do not have up to date ledgers that include the Spring 515 AV seasonal expenses. Raven, you may need Fall 514 and Winter 514 expenses depending on which seasons you were active in. For common living expenses, this would be 135 gm for a season and for poor this would be 45 gm. As a grader, I cannot grade your thread until these are updated. If you are having monetary issues due to the lack of a ST (or for other reasons), I'd suggest selling your house (500gm). You'll need to pay some sort of tavern fee (in addition to seasonal expenses) wherever you happen to be but you'll be able to get by. Do consider getting a job and doing job threads.

When you have updated your ledger with the seasonal expenses, I'll happily award you grades. Just PM me and I'll put them up (I'll put them up individually as CSs are updated).
