Fall 53rd AV 510

It was an.... Okay day I guess. Actualy it was quite wonderfull, sunny with a nice fall breaze. To Ammy it was just an okay day though. Not to happy about remembring everything. She went throught this at the town gate already, it was time for her to shake these feelings off. Maybe a performance would cheer her up.

She remembers when she first performed she wasn't nervous, but she wasn't confedent either. She was chased out of town that day, and has been chased out of many towns for the past years, but she was always with him.

"I really need to let this go......." She said to herself, countinuing into town, always staying on a street that would take her right to the gates. Incase she couldn't handle the presure of being here, and incase she was run out of town. "Well let's see what we can do today."

She sits on a bench plops her bag down by her, and pulls out a deck of cards. She grabed a random one, king of hearts, and flicked it back and forth in her hand until it turned into the ace of spades. "Okay, I'm off to a good start." She put the card back and drew out the seventh of hearts, flipped it around back and forth a few times, until a card came out of her sleave, the card that should have been swiched with the one she was holding. Maybe she wasn't really off to a good start, maybe she needed someone else to preform in her place.

She grinned, she was no longer Ammy, she was someone else intirely. She picked up the card that had fell out of her sleave and countinued to practice. Although she wasn't really paying attention, she was scouting. Looking for an intresting person, they usualy have some talent.

A Spectacular Preformance (Derric)

NoteHappy to start the thread.

Derric tightly gripped his forehead, the headache had grown weaker since the morning, but the reminder of the hangover that had caused that pain was still in place. Too uncomfortable to perform, the magician had taken the day off. An excuse to wander the streets, break free of the routine that he'd been sucked into since the beginning of the season.

That was probably his least favorite part of the city. The routine. So many people, at one point or another, got stuck in a certain cycle. Derric, in the back of his mind, had known it, but the routine was too hard to break. It'd become the norm. Sleep, eat, perform, drink, repeat. That had been his life for a some number of weeks. Finally though, after a more expensive than average night of drinking, he'd been able to pull himself from the depths of that ditch he called home. Darn, what he wouldn't give to get out of this blasted city.

Squinting at the sky, Derric wouldn't have noticed the girl. His mind was in a different place entirely, far away from the city of Syliras, that's for sure. However, having broken out of the cycle that consumed his life, he'd decided to walk a different route than normal in attempt to stay as far away from an average day as possible. That's what caused the collision. The magician hadn't walked this particular street in a while, and didn't realize there was a bench right on that particular corner. But, of course, there was, and he walked straight into it. Derric fell, rather clumsily, onto the ground.

"Whoops," the man said, quickly standing back up. Noticing Ammy and her cards, Derric brushed dirt off his pants and continued speaking. "Oh, hello. Are you a magician?" He motioned to the cards as he spoke. This, Derric said in his head, Might be fun.

It seems instead of finding someone with talent, someone with the talent of walking into things had fond Ammy. Maybe he had something else he could do, otherwise this would be a waste of time.

"Why, of course I am." She said smothly, examining the man. Still concentrating on her cards. Kind of ignoring him still scoping out the crowds of people in the streets. Not really seeing anyone of intrest she turned her attention back on the man, studing him for a few more minutes.

"What about you? What do you do? There was a good chance that this guy didn't have a job. Still Ammy was feeling extra lazzy today, anyone with any talent would do.

"What about you? What do you do?" the woman spoke in a smooth tone, and Derric could easily see that she seemed to be studying him closely. He looked directly into her eyes, taking a few moments to respond. There wasn't much to be told by simply looking at her, for the only detail that truly seemed to stand out was her hair. Ugh, Derric though, not daring to speak the words aloud, At least I bother to try and stay neat... The magician unconsciously ran a hand through his own hair. He had to, after all, make sure that his thoughts were true.

"I," he began, motioning to the simple box that was perched between his ribcage and arm, "am a magician as well. Say, mind if I stay and watch?" Of course, Derric was perfectly content with this distraction, so long as it would keep him from having to do any real work. Plus, it wasn't like a crowd was swarming the woman. That could mean that her act had room for improvement, in which case Derric wouldn't let the lady leave without imparting some of his own knowledge onto her. Besides, a little company never hurt anyone.
