Ashley Blairen takes a walk through the Sunset Quarter

A lawless town of anarchists, built on the ruins of an ancient mining city. [Lore]
Ashley awoke and rolled off her 'bed' in the one of the many common rooms of the Sunset Quarter and landed on the ground with a thud. She smacked her lips as she pushed her hair away from her face, and her vision focused from the deepness of slumber. She coughed slightly as she stood, grabbing her cane to lift herself off the ground as she patted for her clothing on one of the tables that was in the room.
She managed to track down her male clothing, and she slipped it on her body. She started to make herself look like a man, though her feminine face was a bit hard to hide and warp to look like a man's with the materials she had with her. Ashley made a note to get more items for disguises later on...
She left the her room and entered the cramped street, grey and brown, depressing, ugly. All aspects Ashley wished to change so it may be not so... Depressing... But that must come later, she need to get her barrings on the town... From first impressions it was a vile pit of scum, with rotting buildings and crime on every corner... Not to mention the gangs she heard about... All qualities she was interested in, savory almost at the thought of it.
She grinned slightly as she nodded to a couple of people, she was pretending to have a tiny bit of a limp while she walked around with her cane. Her smile was one of those... Egotistical smiles, though it wasn't that big, going up close to her would show her smile. She quickly found herself whipping it away though, she needed to look like some one who wont get instantly mugged... That is all she knew about the crime filled town... Heck the world it self, be tough, or be a victim.

Ashley stopped and leaned on a wall, cane to her side as she started pretend her leg was hurting... She found herself being amused by her own actions slightly. She was plotting a tiny bit, thinking of some of the things she can do to get a foot hold into Sunberth... She pushed heself off a wall after a while and continued to walk down the street, turning off at one section trying to make her way back to her area.
She saw a large rat scamper across the road, it was about the size of her foot and it repulsed her slightly. She picked up her cane and felt herself starting to draw the concealed sword inside, but she quickly breathed and pushed the sword back into place... Hearing the small click of the pin going into place, she tossed it up and grabbed it, starting to walk again, though she noticed she was walking a bit faster...
Rats were disgusting, filthy critters... She sighed slightly as she wondered why she left Zeltiva... Then she remembered, she was slashed across her face by her brother AND she was sick of the town in general... Though she found herself missing her parents a slight bit... She started to wonder what they were doing... Probably building boats.
Ashley nodded to her self as she began to think of her parents... She missed them slightly, but what did what she did, and now she is in Sunberth, not Zeltiva. She was going to stick by her own actions, no matter how bad they may be... Gods know if she did that already with her brother... Her face scrunched up slightly as she thought of him.
She got rid of him not that long ago, the feeling that he was officially ouut of her life was... Liberating; it felt amazing, the abuse stopped, her bruises and her face healed and she no longer felt like she was being threatened by that bag of scum that was actually her 'brother' that scarred her face and caused her pain for years.
She killed him for herself, for her own benefit... Her parents didn't actually know, they thought he ran away, but he was actually dead... She grinned. Which disturbed her slightly. It WAS her brother, but long before they both declared that they were dead to each other. Not one cared for the other, even if they died... Which one did.
Ashley sighed slightly as she turned saw the place she was living at approaching. She smiled slightly as she pushed back the thoughts of her killing her brother, after all, she might start feeling guilt for what she did to the pile of trash that looked like her... Just older... And male... Which she supposed wasn't that accurate of a statement anymore because she can look like a male as well.
She looked entered her room after walking through the apartments after a while. She tossed her cane up, and placed it on a table. She sat her self down on a old rickety bed that creaked slightly and thought some more. She needed to start her plans, some where, some how. Finding the right people and remaining anonymous will be the hard part though.
For all she knew she might just be killed for trying to take away the Sunberthians freedom... Even though she wouldn't do that, just... Stop the violence a bit, while gaining some profit at the same time. Nothing huge at first after all, never start big. The journey of getting the thing she wanted, THAT was the satisfying part, or at least that is what she thought.

Well, this was an odd little piece! Very much an intro into the character, I think. Feeling her out, taking her out for a literal walk around the block and seeing how she thinks. So, not much to give you BUT I did enjoy reading it.
I would say that when you say you're disguising yourself, like in the first post, DESCRIBE HOW you're doing it. Don't just say so. Those little details are where XP and Lores lie, and more importantly, you can conjure a much more impressive narrative from them!
Aside from that, everything looked fine, just mind your spelling and grammar. Proofreading! Always helps...
Oh, and please make sure you go back and edit your post in the Request Thread to reflect the fact this one is now done and dusted. PM me with any questions and later 'tater!
