Terrance's breathing was a bit heavy, but the dog managed his best to keep up. "Good boy Terrance, take a moment's rest." Broc would pet the dog, but he'd fall over on Jinx if he bent over. Plus, he'd known if Jinx would take advantage of a situation like that.

Caesi responded to Broc, she said that they'll move in closer. Broc adjusted his shortbow and readied an arrow. He looked over the tall grass to maybe witness any animalistic activity that could prosper from within. "Okay Caesi." Said Broc simply as he etched closer to her and her two companions. Jinx trekked slow, she was careful to not disturb the wild animals. Her own breaths were a bit heavy as well, but she to, as Terrance can control her breathing.

Broc hoped, if Caesi was right. That there would be some sort of water source near by, there would be some valuable game at hand. He knew that he should dismount Jinx at this time just in case if something ever to go wrong. His family would know if Jinx and would know that Broc would be missing if anything went wrong. So he dismounted her and readjusted the Yvas to loosen it after he slid off.

Broc left his pack, but took his waterskin that was recently filled and his quiver. He held to his shortbow with a light grasp as he cupped one hand around the string and the already set arrow. The other arm hung loosely, near the pommel of his longsword. Terrance trekked over. His dark fluffy Tail wagged as he panted excitedly. "All right, Jinx stay. Terrance come on boy." Terrance wagged his tail and wanted over towards Broc. The man leaned over and patted him on the head."Go search boy."

Terrance responded and followed By, Nu, but roughly ten yards out. He stopped at the brim of where the treeline and the tall grass had been stationed. Broc followed Caesi, but he stood a bit away from her as well, not that it was personal, but to avoid having them both get killed at the same time if ever a predator jumps at them.

Caesi signaled Broc to stay close. He signaled back.Try not to get yourself killed, keep a look out. He signaled. His hands were quite used to the Pavi Sign they were almost like a second language. Well, it's more of a separate language. Nearly. Broc pushed away the tall pieces of Grass as he scanned the rest. He looked down and hadn't found any game or signs of tracks. We need to keep moving closer. The tall grass, not good for game.

Broc moved in close. He was at the edge of the grass. Now he'd opened up to the clearing that was concealed by the massive trees. He looked upwards through to the branches. Hoping there wouldn't be anything dangerous up there. So far so good. NH and Terrance were found sitting and their heads pointed at a Gazelle. Terrance looked over with his tongue sticking out. He looked over and his facial expression almost looked as if it wanted the attention. Broc nodded.

Broc raised his shortbow and crouched. He tilted the bow upwards and aimed for the animal. With a breath. He released his tension on the string and the arrow flied. Perhaps he was a few yards to far away from the animal. Because now, he was to caught up in catching the game. "So sorry. Should we track it down again?" He said to Caesi. It was mainly an apology. He wouldn't know Caesi would react. Though he turned to Terrance, "Chase boy." The dog went after it instantly.

The tall grass was actually good for game, a lot of game hid beneath the curls and masses of it. Hares and Grouse to name a couple, but she did not argue with Brocton, she had not the time. They moved in closer, Brocton going even closer, while Caesi stuck to the camouflage of the trees. She preferred being stealthy when hunting, hiding behind a tree or in a shadow, until she spotted her prey. Then and only then did she make her presence known to the prey.

Caesi peered over as Broc raised his shortbow, she shook her head trying to get him to stop. It was not time to go after the prey. It was much too large to take down by himself and the dogs had alerted it. He needed to wait and for the right moment, patience was key. Brocton however did not see her, or perhaps he did and did not care to pay attention. He released his arrow but it missed it's target. Caesi was not a master at Archery but even she could tell why it missed. “We hunt together or not at all.” Caesi told Brocton, her teal eyes flaming with frustration. “That was too big of a prey to take down by yourself” Caesi said in a scolding manner.

The huntress gave a sigh and then looked out at Nu, whistling him back to her she looked at Brocton again. “You need a good anchor point when shooting your bow. I pull my string back to my chin. It is comfortable and provides the right amount of tension to make the arrow fly a good distance. Find your anchor point and your arrow would go further and not fall from the sky like a dead bird.” Nu yelped up at Caesi and she patted his head, “Good boy.”

She turned and looked out to where the animal had ran, the dog was not going to be able to keep up with it, “You should call your dog back. We will track it but it will be slow and I am not sure worth it.” Caesi told Brocton, with a shrug of her shoulder. “Dog's have better sense of smell then we do. They will help sniff it out.” Caesi patted Nu, stroking his ears. “Track boy.” She patted the ground to gesture her command that he should start tracking the scent of the animal. “Stay close.” She told Nu as she went to retrieve her Strider, “Better go on horse-back, as it will be a shorter journey.” She explained to Brocton, wondering exactly how well he knew hunting and archery.

She herself was not that great, she missed a lot of times, sometimes fumbling with arrows, and found it difficult to track even a rabbit. But she had patience at least. Although when she was younger she had no patience, for the thrill and excitement of the hunt did get to her. There is no way he is younger then me.. He looks older. Caesi thought to herself as she mounted Pyxis and waited for Brocton to mount his horse. Once he was mounted she clicked her tongue and patted the sides of her Strider with her heels to get her in a nice trot, as they followed their dogs who had their noses to the ground.

“We must have patience.” She told Brocton, as she stroked the horse's neck, “Patience is key in hunting.” She gave him a small smile, even though she was still a little frustrated that he lost the prey. She could not be mad forever, though she had a temper it was beginning to simmer down. Caesi was a bold woman, she spoke her mind and did not really care too much whether it hurt people's feelings. Caesi would not think before speaking, speaking first then thinking later. “How old are you?” Caesi inquired of the man, “I will be 18 Summers soon.” She told him proudly, with a great smile.

Gazelle :
I am not sure if there is Gazelle's in the Sea of Grass, may want to PM Prophet to make sure. I usually go by the list of animals in the Spit Fire Tent, since it is where people take animals to Butcher and Tan. http://www.mizahar.com/forums/topic41219.html

Sorry :
Sorry for the externely long wait. Been busy with alts and school. Plus, been trying to get job threads in as well. Scratch the gazelle, we can just say that it was a deer. XD keep things simple.

"Right, sorry about that Caesi. Got over my head a little." Replied the blonde with a sly smile. It was a bad move, shooting that arrow at the deer, this far away. Useless, really. Broc isn't that perfect at shooting from way out, but he can usually try his best to mark the target. His apology spoke of truth. He was quite excited when the group had discovered of the animals existence, but Broc's poor shot and lack of trust made things even more difficult with Caesi.

Broc whistled for Terrance to return. "Good boy. Go fetch my arrow can you?" The dog yapped simply and bounded off again. It was meant to make things continue at a more quicker pace than having Caesi wait for the blonde to hurry back. Caesi explained of how he should have a set anchor point for whenever he shoots a bow. It's not like he hadn't been out hunting in his time. His father had take. His father had had of course taught him the basic fundamentals of knowing to wield the shortbow and a few if the tricks and tips as well.

"Thank you Caesi. I'll keep that in mind. Good, good boy." The blonde turned to face his dog after he had conversed with his hunting partner. "Petch, it's bent." He said as he continued to speak in pavi. The tall grass made it difficult for a perfect shit, but challenges are good as well.

The young Drykas woman explained more to Broc, this time about how the dogs are better scent trackers than the humans. Once again, it wasn't like Broc didn't know any of this stuff, he usually hunts alone... And when he's alone he doesn't need to feel admonished like this. It was as if he were having a second mother and another teacher to teach him things. Some of which he had had already known from past experience. Still holding onto the bent arrow, he knelt and patted Terrance on the head gently and stroked his fur a few times in count. "Okay Caesi. Terrance go hunt."

"Yes, we should. Terrance stay close though okay boy." The dog yapped and headed for the direction Nu followed. Broc walked over to his horse companion, Jinx. A Strider with a temper. Broc smiled and patted the mares gently on the sides of Jinx with a smile of course. "Good girl." Said Broc after he placed his bent arrow in a sack over the Yvas and mounted up on Jinx. "Okay girl, C'mon." Said Broc as he still continued to speak pavi. The blonde clicked his tongue and tapped on the horses sides with both his feet gently to get Jinx moving in gear.

We must keep patience. Is what Caesi said. It was true. Something he needed to work on. But, he would usually keep at a calm state. "Yes, yes. Patience is key. I know." Said Broc with a wave of his hand. As Broc thought earlier, this woman seemed to be farlirly young for her age. He didn't want to say anything about it, but it had appeared that Caesi couldn't keep from asking. So, she said she'll be eighteen. "I am of twenty-one years of age. It's been awhile since my last hunt with my father." Said Broc honestly. "So your day of birth is the Summer? Mine is of the Summer as well! The fourty-second day in fact. I'll be twenty-two by then." Said Broc with a gregarious smile.

Through out her little explanation to Brocton, he seemed a little dismissive. As if he knew it all and she did not need to explain anything to him. It made her frustrations greater then what they were to begin with. True, she was not that skilled of an Archer or Hunter, but she could tell from his display that she was slightly better than he was. She was not an expert, nor was he, so why not tell him the mistakes he made? She would expect no less from him when she made mistakes. She swallowed her insults and the urge to just leave however, perhaps she would just stay quiet then, since he obviously thought he knew what he was doing, even though Caesi could point out some flaws. Behave.. Be nice.. Caesi chanted to herself, staying quiet for a few ticks after Brocton told her his age and that they were both born in the Summer.

Caesi nodded her head, “I have not hunted with my father in two years. I hunt alone usually.” She told the man, with a small smile. She missed hunting with her father, missed spending time with him. However, he was busy tending to the care of the animals, so she had to step up to provide food for her pavilion. Life on the plains were harsh, there was no time to be a child, you had to grow up fast or die. She looked him over, then shrugged her shoulders, “You looked a little younger then twenty-one.” She said, shrugging off the conversation of age. Age to her was just a number when it came to the plains. Skill determined your worth, not the number of years you had. Though she was only 17, soon to be 18, she felt her worth was gradually growing with the more she hunted and practiced Archery. Still a child to some, maybe even acting childish at times, she still helped just as much as the adults of her Pavilion; She had to.

“I am not that good at tracking.” Caesi confided to Brocton, as they followed the dogs ahead of them. “I usually use Nu to help with that.” She sighed a little defeated then looked over at the man, “Perhaps if we looked we could find some deer droppings or something?” She asked the man, not sure what she was doing in the tracking part of hunting. Perhaps she relied on her dog a bit too much when it came to the actual tracking of animals, which was not the brightest on her part. Maybe Brocton however, knew more then she, and could spot some evidence of whether or not they were headed in the right direction. She trusted the dog's sniffers, but it was still nice to be reassured they were not heading the wrong way. After all, the dogs could of picked up the scent of another animal, instead of the deer.

"I'm sorry. I don't usually conversate with others. It's been awhile since I have hunted, and my father is doing his work around the pavillion helping those in the Emerald Clan who'd like the extra help. My sister helps him mostly as well, my mother is alone usually doing the responsibilities at our own pavilion..." The thoughts of his mother being alone ached him. Brocton smiled wearily towards the seventeen year old girl. "I usually get that a lot. I've still have some development to work on. Maybe meeting new people would be a change and a good one, if I keep my temper in check."

Brocton snikered as he talked about his changes. He really needs to work on his behavior, his mother especially does not like the smart ass remarks or anything of the sort. Surely, Broc can change. He was raised in a fairly good community. Though, they don't stand in the same place for long, the Drykas move every five days at most and it varies from three to five. It was sort of difficult to maintain any good memories when your moving all the time. To be fair, the male didn't particularly mind of the constant moving around. He liked change.

It was one of the few things he liked and admired. He mainly admired his family, though he can be a bit rough on them from day to day, but most of the time he hoped that they understood Broc was only playing jokes. It's settled though, it's time to make haste and do the best he can to become better. Hopefully, to really try would have a benefit to it? Maybe.

Caesi had said she is not so good at tracking. Broc isn't fairly good at it himself, but he still might have a little experience of tracking. "Maybe, the deer had left some hoof prints. We'll be lucky then..." Broc could see Terrance sniffing the ground fairly cautiously, the dog would eventually look over at him from time to time, but it kept his head looking down at the ground, the wet nose almost just touching the grass. "I'll not that well suited with tracking, I think my sister Philly is good at it. Though, it's been awhile since we have hunted together." Man, he should really go hunting more with his family.

"Deer droppings would be nice, though it'd be a bit challenging to find the direction of where the deer was heading. Since, you know the droppings are in piles. Unless, the animal would leave them on a trail while it's running. It's probably petching timid right now." Said the blonde with a slight chuckle. Brocton peered over Jinx his head loomed over the Strider and Brocton caught sight of something. Tracks... But, they didn't appear to be hoof prints. Probably in the midst of them, but then far off into the clearing. Brocton squinted; But, he couldn't find anything. "Man, those things can run." Said Broc as he returned back onto the Yvas. "Do you see any tracks? The dogs are still moving. I don't see anything. It feels weird. Silent. Except for the wind..." It was quiet, a bit too quiet. Very odd, very odd indeed.

So it was settled, two inexperienced trackers were trying to track down a deer. This could prove to be a challenge. Mentally Caesi accepted the challenge however and tried her best at finding something to indicate the prescence of the deer or any animal really. She was not really sure what to be looking for. She had vague knowledge on tracking, but Brocton seemed to only have a bit more than she himself. He mentioned droppings of the deer and tracks. The droppings would not lead them to the deer, but they could always check and see how fresh they were at least.

Caesi settled herself in the Yvas, gripping the sides of the horse with her knees as she leaned forward to look upon the ground for any signs of an animal. Both of the dogs were ahead of them, though they had just stopped their ears perking up at some sound only they could hear. Caesi frowned slightly as she glanced around. Silence seemed to settle upon the small hunting party, even Zulrav stilled his breath for a few ticks. Caesi did not like how quiet it had become, although for the dogs it had yet to be quiet. Nu gave a small growl as his head swerved off to the right. Caesi looked in the direction he was looking as Brocton asked if she saw any tracks. She did see a disturbance on the ground of some kind. “What is that? What animal would make those kind of tracks?” She inquired of Brocton as she pointed to the area of tracks that were not hoof prints, the same direction were some noise had caught the dog's attention. Pyxis knickered nervously, dancing slightly on her hooves. There may be an animal nearby, though what kind she was unsure. “It is quiet.” Caesi said, as she looked around them with observant and keen eyes.

It was possible that it was just the deer hunkering down in the grass causing the dogs to growl. However, it was also possible that the deer had alerted a predator, who was hungry. Caesi tightened her knees around her Strider, ready to flee if it was necessary. She grabbed an arrow from her quiver, holding it in her left as she held her bow in her right, keeping herself mounted by the grip of her knees. She stared in the direction the dogs were looking, preparing for what was hiding in the tall grass in the distance.

Broc shifted in the Yvas uncomfortably his glossy green pupils stared out through the thicket if tall grass. It is quiet. At first, Brocton had figured it was his imagination. A figment of his boredom. It was peculiar, get intriguing and peaceful all three at the same time, it felt nerve wracking. He knew that hunting with someone new; things could end up quite bad. He'll choke under pressure. And his reputation won't increase, especially when he's around a seventeen know-it-all female by his side.

The blonde sighed; he was partially desperate for a hunting partner, though he was unsure if he was desperate enough to have a starky girl on his side. It made things... Harder than it looked for him; he wouldn't usually fail his attempts at hunting, he has a tendency to be calmned under pressure, but not like these kind of sisituations

This one; it was different. Of course, it was slightly obvious if it's difference then the times he'll be by himself. If Caesi died while out hunting with Brocton, Brocton would have that weight upon his shoulder for the rest of his live. What if the Emerald Clan hadn't believed that it was to be some hunting animal that had finished her and Broc failed to save her? Would that even happen? Or was he just thinking of randmon things that could occur? Or was he just slowly losing his mind?

The blonde pushed those thoughts out of his mind and focused on the now; why was it so quiet? Even the dogs were still. That didn't usually mean for it to be a good thing, no. Stay quiet. signaled Broc with Pavi as he tapped the sides of Jinx. She inches slowly with caution. Her hooves the only thing lightly tapping the ground. Not even the birds were chirping, and there are usually a lot of birds, who'd make noise; even at this time of day, right?

If you want to come, you can. I won't stop you. Keep a keen eye awake and stay silent. Ready bow and arrow. I don't like this quietness. He signed, his hands were slightly starting to get numb with all of these hand movements, but as he retrieved his shortbow and an arrow, his knuckles grew whiter than before now
The blonde clutched tightly to the wood of the bow, waiting for any signs of movement or activity.

Then; the silence of the day had broken. Miles out to the east, a noise of howling could be heard. And a few blurs of somewhat big and grey animals focused on in a clearing far out. Wolves. They're too far to count and it certainly looks like a pack. "We must fight. It would be useless to flee." Broc said solemnly. His knuckles c grew even more white, as if flour had been poured on them. His palms sweating. He was nervous. The wolves would soon pick up the scent and start chasing. However many there's are, they should muster to fend them off.

Even if it meant life or... Death.

Caesi frowned has Brocton signed for her to keep quiet. She crossed her arms and rolled her eyes, as she did as she was told. Even though she did not really want to. After all, who was he to order her around. However, he signed once more telling her she could come if she would like to. She gave a shrug of her shoulder, dismissing the conversation. She did not really care either way, she was here to hunt, with or with out him.

Her thoughts were interrupted as a howling reached her ears. Grabbing her bow tightly, she snatched an arrow from her quiver, peering around. Brocton said they had to fight, fleeing would be useless. She gasped, “Striders are faster than wolves.” She said, glancing around nervously, “We can flee and fight at the same time. No reason to put our animals at risk.” She tried to reason, biting her lower lip as the howling came closer.

Pyxis raised her head, shaking the mane from her eyes as she stared out in the distance, giving a snort. The horse sensed danger, as she danced upon her hooves nervously. Caesi's Strider wanted to flee, she wanted out of the situation. Caesi peered over at Brocton, she could not leave him alone to fight if that was what he wanted to do. Reaching down she stroked her Strider's neck, calming the mare who nervously shifted on her hooves. “I will stay to help you. I will not leave you alone.” Caesi told Brocton, with a boldness in her tone and a firm nod, she readied her arrow following the man's lead.

"It is what we do? Is it not? Plus I don't think our dogs will have the endurance to keep up with us that long since they have driven a lot today. We don't want to waste them with the pack. It would hurt us." Hopefully Caesi understood. Rding and Fighting is difficult for Brocton. Though, he has just enough skills with his shortbow to maintain good aim and arm strength as he would fire at the wolves.

Wolves are dangerous whilist in a pack. If they all went chasing them, then the six of them will surely be left defeated. "Understood. Here they come now, get ready. I count a number of five in this small pack. Keep a sharp eye out. They'll use whatever vantage they can get." Said Brocton. He was still speaking Pavi.

The wolves split up. Three of them turned on Brocton and his two animal companions. They've understood that Broc was the male of the party as well as Terrance. Brocton raised his shortbow with arrow inside, aiming it directly at the largest one, Jinx trotted about circling the wolves slowly with pacing steps. Broc leveled himself. Two stood side by side the larger if the three. Snarling and growling. Foam dripping out of there jaws. Teeth reddened and yellow twitched as the mouth movements were random.

Yellow fiery eyes glared at Brocton attempting to scare him off. The blonde fairly knew what they were trying to do. He gulped a swallow full of fear down his throat. Fear that screamed run. Run. But, Brocton was to stubborn to do such a thing. He was a Drykas, and that would mean he would stay and fight. No matter what the cause. If they just fled, the wolves would only follow.

By now they would pick up all six scents and track them down even if they did manage to get away from their grasps. Brocton poised his shortbow, aiming at the one in the middle of the three. The biggest one. Terrance growled beside Jinx who only whinnied.

Releasing the arrow; it whizzed through the air. Only injuring the beast barely below the head. It groaned, then howled as it stopped in its back to paws; calling in for more assistance. The two wolves on the side grew more foam out if their mouths making things appear more menacing then ever before. Broc gathered another arrow from his quiver and readied it again. The one wolf on the left, pounced; his target known as Terrance. "Terrance!" Yelped Broc as he quickly glanced over to his side.

The dog whimpered in confusion and then a battle between the two ensured. Loud growling started, and Broc was forced to face the other two. The one he'd hit earlier still crept closer, Jinx backed slowly. Her hooves beating the ground hard and firmly. The one on the right pounced, jumping over Jinx and knocked Brocton off the Yvas, his hilt of the Longsword jammed at his side, his shortbow and arrow; including the quiver of arrows flew back.

The two plummeted and landed on the ground with anloud thump. Broctons back tensed and he instinctively reached for the front shoulders of the wolf that was now on top of him. Snarling and snapping it's jaws with white foam slowly dripping onto his face. Broc wanted to wipe the foam off, but he also wanted to get the wolf off of his body. The wolf's jaw thrashed at his face, though only a few centimeters off. Brocton pushed back the wolf with all of his force. Trying. Trying.

As Brocton struggled with the one wolf. The biggest of them, circled Jinx with anxious movement. Jinx swivelled her head once to Broc, whinnied and faced the bigger wolf before her. Waiting for it to strike. The big bad wolf pounced directly at her, though Jinx reacted quickly her front hooves slammed against the face of the wolf. Making it whimper in pain. She whinnied in excitement, and fury. She protected Brocton. She'll not let anything get to him.

Terrance whimpered, though he won his spar. The wolf on the other hand fell helplessly without a sound. Terrance panted, looking over to Brocton, he yelped and rushed over, slamming his own body against the wolf that contained the blonde on the ground. Brocton swiftly helped himself up and unsheathed his longsword. He rushed over to the wolf that Terrance had beaten to the ground and jammed his blade through. Impaling it whole.

Pulling the blade out with a slick screech, he rushed over to Jinx. The two animals were strong, though before one of them could be finished off, the blonde took his blade once again; gripping it tightly and once he found the perfect time and place to strike he did. The adrenaline coursing through his veins, he slashed at the front of the wolf randomly, the wolf whimpered and fell flat on the ground, dead. All dead.

Caesi. He almost forgot about her. He looked around. He saw Py, her Strider, Nu was yapping off in the distance. "Casei!" Broc exclaimed, he didn't hear any more wolf noises. Broc went over to his shortbow and gathered up his hunting stuff that fell. He ran over to Pyxis. "Caesi?"

Brocton instructed her to get ready. Ready for what she was unsure. As the future was now a secret held in the Goddesses hands. She steadied herself on the back of her Strider, grabbing an arrow from her quiver, nocking it on her short bow. She battled for balance as the wolves approached them. The beasts seemed feral and hungry, as their eyes held a wildness that spooked Caesi a little. Three wolves began to approach Brocton, while two smaller wolves came towards Caesi. She bit down on her lower lip, staring as they stared at her.

“Nu! Attack.” Caesi said, fear lacing her voice as she called out to her large and protective companion. Nu raced forwards towards one of the wolves, battling for dominance. The wolf was much smaller than her dog, perhaps a female though she was unsure. The other wolf needed no further instruction to attack. Caesi had started the battle with her command to Nu. The wolf lowered itself to the ground. Menacing eyes peered up at Caesi as she struggled to stay balanced on top of her Strider. She was not experienced enough to attack from her mount. However, she was attempting to do just that. It required her to strain her body in different ways, bending her upper torso and strengthening her legs around the girth of her mare.

Pulling back on the bowstring, she peered at the wolf taking aim. Releasing the arrow it missed it's mark completely as her body trembled on top of Pyxis. Her Strider could feel her fear and anxiety, the horse quivering as she snorted anxiously herself. The wolf lunged to attack and Py reared back out of instinct. This caused Caesi to be thrown off the back of her horse for the second time that day. This time she was no prepared. She flew backwards, slamming into the ground with a force unlike the first time. Air left her small body and lungs, as it came out with a whooshing noise. Py struck out with her powerful hooves at the smaller wolf, however it was stubborn and wanted Caesi. The wolf was keen and knew that she was now at a disadvantage. The young archer panicked as she scrambled backwards. Pain shot up from her back as she inched backwards, searching for her short bow.

The wolf began to stalk forward, low to the ground, snarling as a foam like substance began to form around it's muzzle. Fear gripped her soul, squeezing tightly as her teal-green eyes grew wide frantically searching for her short bow. Brocton disappeared as she backed into a bushy area. Grasping her short bow she quickly nocked an arrow. It was not fast enough, as the wolf lunged forward with it's powerful jaws. Caesi jerked back but it was not quick enough. The wolf was able to bite her left leg. It was a small bite, though it still caused pain to rush through her body and a whimper and scream emitting from her plush lips. Tears streamed down her face as she called out, “Please help! Nu... Brocton... Pyxis. Please someone!” She stuttered the last of her sentence, her words becoming a jumble from fear and pain.

The wolf seemed to have sensed this fear. Perhaps it could smell the blood that was now pouring from her leg, making it's mouth water. Panic gripped her as she pulled back on the bowstring. She did not really take aim, as she was trembling from fear. The arrow hit the wolf in it's chest area, though there was not enough force to really penetrate a lung or heart. It did however cause the wolf pain, making it howl. Then it's yellow and menacing eyes landed upon Caesi. Rage could be seen there, rolling like a wild fire. Caesi could feel her heart beating rapidly, her breaths coming out in short bursts as she froze in place. Fear had gripped her. This was it. She was going to meet her end she just knew it.

She could not control her breathing as it come out in quick bursts. A black haze surrounded the edges of her vision as the wolf readied to lunge for her once more. Caesi fainted. The fear and anxiety was too much. She succumbed to the call of darkness as she passed out on the ground. She was not strong enough to take down the wolf. She would have continued to fight, but her anxiety had won the battle.

While past out the wolf went to attack her, taking advantage of her now limp and seemingly lifeless body. Blood seeped from her leg, making a small but noticeable puddle on the ground. The wolf did not succeed in it's efforts, because her companion came to her rescue. Nu battled the smaller wolf. His powerful jaws locked onto the throat of the wolf, taking it to the ground and ripping the tender flesh there. Nu limped over to Caesi's still body, whimpering and licking at her leg. He was not with out his injuries as well. The battle with the wolves was hard and he had suffered his own injuries. However, he was concerned for his owner as he laid beside her body, licking and trying to wake her. Brocton called for her, though she could not answer, she had entered the land of darkness from fainting. She had failed as a warrior and now she had been shamed. She tried her hardest but she failed. Her experience not great enough to take down a simple foe like a wolf. Nu whimpered and barked as he heard Brocton's voice, letting the man know where they were at. Then continued his licking of his owner, where the blood was slowly pouring from the wolf bite on her left leg.
