12 Day of Summer

The river had subsided and now the city was working on rebuilding those buildings destroyed and damages in the floods. Riluc hadn't actually arrived in Sunbert until the first part of summer so he had missed the whole flood thing. He was here for the clean up and had decided to help. He didn't have any building skills to offer but he could help carry supplies to where they were needed. So after checking his traps in the early part of the morning he had come back to Sunberth and was now helping to stack lumber that was being brought to rebuild some mansion in the city.

There was something satisfying about the physical work. Riluc was fairly sweaty by this point as he worked in the hot sun with a couple boards slung over his shoulder. Part of why he liked the physical labor was because he could do it and his mind could think. Riluc's had been in Mura with his second mother up until last season. Gaelsa had told him it was time to take what she had taught him and go out to the world and learn more. Caiyha required her worshippers to expand there skills and knowledge so that they could better fight for balance.

Riluc had decided to return to were he had been born and raised by the canines. Here held much of his past and the hidden mysteries of were he had come from. Riluc loved Gaelsa and the others who had meet in Mura, and no one could ever replace them but there was a deep need to understand why someone would leave him to be raised by dogs. He had loved his pack and they had loved him and even know he wept when he thought about them being killed, but he had learned that his early life was very unusual.

So he was here to see what he could find out about it. As he had wandered around Sunbert he had seen that the town was suffering from being out of balance something followers is Caiyha couldn't really handle. The longer Riluc was in Sunbert the more he understood why he needed to spend time away from the city. If he had stayed he wouldn't have seen the problems in the city. He would have been burried in them. That wasn't saying Riluc thought that the social order needed to be toppled. There wld always be people at the top and people at the bottom. The problem was that people were constantly be moved up and down the latter and not in good ways. Riluc sighed wondering how would be best to change that. He was afraid it was to much part of the Sunberth mind set.

His first mission though was to find his history and learn about himself. The hardest part would be trying to find the place to start. His memories weren't very clear since hhad been so young, but he was going to still try. He felt it was something he needed and something Caiyha wanted him to do. Riluc set down the wood he was carrying and paused to look around. Others were helping but none really approached him. Riluc's blank expression in his handsome face. That was something that his mother hadn't been able to break him of, a belief that most people were out to get hum and so he protected himself behined a mask. Riluc really did yearn for family and friends but he did want any parisites in his life and life on the streets had taught him that humanity had a number of them.

Riluc sighed and walked back over to the wagon with the lumber and picked up more lumber and began to move it over.

In To The Past (Anarkhos)

His shadow is what caught her attention, his own being is what caused her mouth to open agape. Was it really...Him? He looked just like him, a bit of her too. Who was this man? He stood tall and erect, bearing nothing but a loin cloth. She watched as he carried pieces of wood and lumber from the wagon to be used to rebuild upon the city.

Her gaze followed his movements, halfway hiding behind the corner of a building so he would not notice her. She thought he was dead. That they were all dead, but how? Swallowing the butterflies that now rested in her stomach, she moved towards the man who reminded her so much of times past.

"Ex- Excuse me sir?"

She spoke softly, her eyes widening as if she had seen a ghost when she actually got close up and personal to him. She was sure of it now. Seeing that she'd let too much time pass before she spoke again, she stammered over words as they came. "Oh, I-I was just wondering, if you would need some assistance carrying those pieces of lumber." Not waiting for his response she quickly picked up as many pieces that her arms would allow with putting a strain on her already weak muscles. A nod of her head motioning for him to lead.

"So, what's your name? Are you new to Sunberth?"

The work was tedious but it was necissary for the lumber to be moved so that more could be transported to the site. Riluc didn't actually mind it, but made a mental note that he wouldn't really need to work out later that day as hauling the wood more then covered it. As his mind was meandering from thought to thought he felt someone looking at him. Riluc was fairly used to people looking at him, but there was something different about this look that raised the hairs on the back of his neck. He was used to the other looks, the predatory look of those who saw nothing but his body and wanted it. Usually a look given him by women a few men over the years had also looked at him longingly. The other common was looks of irritation. For many men it was jealousy of his physical appearance and from many men and women it was over his clothing choice. Riluc was comfortable with who he was and basically ignored them all.

Riluc looked over and saw a woman approaching him. Her gaze was wide and inquisitive unlike others she saw neither his muscles or his clothing, but saw his face, and was taking every feature in. Riluc looked at her feelings nervous. There was recognition in those eyes. She quickly approached and spoke and the paused. Riluc's green eyes took in the woman his shell in place. His expression was completely blank neither incuraging nor discouraging the woman to continue talking. Eventually she did though. Her voice was hesitant and she asked if she could help. Riluc was surprised and nodded his head in agreement as she started helping him without actually waiting for his reply.

Riluc picked up another log as the woman collected some smaller logs. Riluc gave a small grunt as he placed the much large piece of wood on his shoulder and began to walk towards the pile next to the xonstruction site. There was silence as Riluc wasn't sure how to react to the woman and her very strange behavior. The woman wasn't strong and Riluc suspected that she was struggling carring the wood. Riluc didn't have to wait all to long before the woman spoke again.

"My name is Riluc, and your name." The rich baratone voice came out slightly strained from the weight of the log. He put the log in the pile and started helping the woman with her smaller pieces before contiuning. "I am originally from Sunberth. I have spent the last few yeara living in Mura though." He paused and looked at her more intently. "Why do you ask? Riluc asked blunty, but still politely. The woman's strange behavior was making him nervous.
