The Morning After

Postby Epifanio Snowsong on September 5th, 2016, 3:24 pm

Epifanio was both eager and surprised to know what Aliana thought. The language barrier was difficult to work with, but he believed that body language said enough. It seemed like she loved him as well. With a smile the bard just couldn't hold it in. He knew that the two of them had been through a lot. Perhaps more than what he could have hoped. He also knew from this moment forward everything would change. Though, he wanted to be sure. After returning her kiss be one again complimented her in vantha. "You are amazing."

Repeating the words in common, he got up from sitting on her bed and placed around a bit. It would seem a bit unusual, but not as unusual as how empty her apartment at the Warrens now felt. Everything was still packed from the night before and he remembered that she intended to leave after she supposedly killed him.

Be didn't want such a thing to ever happen, and he knew that for the rest of the season it would be difficult for him to go back and forth between the Warren's, his Arvinta, and the Red Diamond Tavern. After pacing a bit more and mumbling to himself he looked back at Aliana and tried to repeat what she said in Isur to him. He figured it to be the same by the way she touched his face and kissed him.

Looking at her intently now he had a bit of worry on his face, his mind was racing, his heart beating fast, and sweat started to form from his forehead for no reason. Well no reason that Aliana would know at that moment, until he abruptly broke the silence and walked back over to her.

Speaking in common he let his heart once again do the taking.

"You are amazing, and I have never met anyone like you. Long ago I had my thoughts on what love is, and it seemed to differ between what others felt here in Avanthal. I want to share myself with you. Get to know you, but first you must know of the type of man I am."

Warming over to his gamba case the bard retrieved his musical composition book and opened it up. Returning back to her and looking her in the eyes the bard did his best to translate what he had written down in vantha to common.

"Theory of Love
Love is a concept,
an intangible reality,
such things cannot be described,
in order to understand, you must feel it.

Love requires compromise; cooperation,
it cannot exist between a pair too stubborn,
each must be flexible to the others needs.

Love is made real by sacrifice and compromise;
Though to give and take freely is only but a part
of that which ensnares a lover's heart

It should not rest with one to win the others heart,
instead, effort must be mutual and reciprocate,
else love turns to lust.

Poetic justice above cannot,
For all its worth,
Cure and ill-fated Liaison;
but perhaps it will motivate,
stimulate the desire and ability to love. "

As he spoke he was one again unsure if she would understand everything. Regardless his touch entwined with hers by holding her uninjured hand.

"Come love with me in my Arvinta in the snowsong hold." he said foolishly his mind a bit distraught fumbling over his words.

"I meant come live with me. "

Was his last words that broke the silence.

“I-I don't know about that,” Aliana said with a soft blush looking to the side.

The soft dark hair fell in front of her face when her head turned away from the man before her. She was not normally so timid, but he made her feel things that he was not used to feeling. Surprise painted the face of the Isur when he asked her to live with him. Gulping gently she stepped back not sure how the other Vantha in his hold would take her. Taking a deep shaky breath the woman looked to him once more.

“How about we just go introduce me? I don't want to just show up and say I'm moving in. We have no idea how they will react,” Aliana said not wanting any more drama.

Once the man had agreed the dark haired woman walked over to the bed and pulled out her bag. She planned to unpack later that night. Digging around the girl finally found the clothes that was in her minds eye. Sniffing the shirt she smiled not smelling any foul odor meaning a good number of the items were clean. Pulling off the tank top she bound her chest before sliding on her other shirt, standing the woman changed her pants as well. Looking around the girl grabbed her socks and pulled them on deciding to actually put shoes on this round. Hopefully the pair would not be interrupted again, blowing some hair out of her face the Isur walked over to the male Vantha.

“I think I'm ready,” Aliana said still a little nervous.

The Morning After

Postby Epifanio Snowsong on September 12th, 2016, 4:19 am

If anything the bard was receptive. And he could understand the hate in his actions, and further remembered that inviting a stranger to the box required permission of the pavintu. With only a slight smile across his face he reassured Aliana attempting to speak in both vantha and common.

"That is fine. Just know I will be there for when your ready."

After a few moments of observing her strange behavior of attempting to change into something nicer the bard slightly grew annoyed when waiting on the woman, but not a bit of it showed. He headed towards the door and pretended to take care of his things he laid out earlier. As Aliana further readied herself he also prepared himself mentally to his he would introduce Aliana.

When the time came to finally leave he took the woman by the arm and escorted her to the hall. The bard was nervous, and perhaps even more so than Aliana, as she was the first woman he had brought back to the hold. Normally it was him going to visit others.

As he entered he was immediately noticed, and by a few members of the hold that shared a smile with him, and one that wasn't. Kenava. She immediately approached Epifanio and Aliana to inspect what was going on. He simply interrupted her by quickly asking where the pavintu was, her mother, and the leader of the snowsongs.

After a slight huff she responded to follow her, and before they got to enter the room where the pavintu was they were told to wait there for a moment.

"It'll be alright Aliana. I'm sure they'll accept you. "

Immediately after the couple was instructed to enter it was as if he froze. Turning sight on the pavintu, he simply stated.

"This is Aliana, she gave me flute."

Aliana took his arm and walked to the hold nervous. Taking deep breathes the woman kept her injured hand hidden some between his side and his elbow. She wanted to present an air of confidence not weakness. Whether his home was of music or not the woman wanted to make a good impression. Nerves continued to fill her as they walked, yet it did not appear on her face. From a young age she was taught to hide her emotions from the world. Never let those around you know what you are feeling, she repeated her father's words in her mind. Looking up when the pair finally made it the woman could not help but look around at the place. Amazement was an understatement, Aliana couldn't see herself living in this place. It seemed so foreign , yet something felt right about being beside Epi. A glare formed on the woman's face seeing Kenava approach. The women seemed to have a silent stand off while Epifanio asked about someone higher up in the hold.

Once more her boots sounded against the floor walking with him as the pair headed to the room. A nerves shot up when they stopped just outside the door. Taking a deep breath she looked up to Epifanio when he said all would be fine. Nodding gently the woman held her head high walking inside with him. A blush crossed her face when he spoke of her flute. Her eyes cut to the side seeing the instrument still proudly on his upper arm. Movement made her jerk her head around, it was Kenava speaking into the older woman's ear. Shortly after the woman glared at Aliana as if she had committed some great sin. Confused the Isur winced when the elder woman growled out some words in Vani to Epifanio. Aliana looked on confused about what was being said, but the looks made it clear that she was not welcome at all.
