robern's reaches & the castle commons

Vos?” His gruff inquiry struggled to penetrate the din of the brothel and his brow narrowed in consternation upon realising his dastardly counterpart was no longer in his company. Petching cunt. The bastard would slink off to treat himself while Ora did the work.

Begrudgingly, he pushed his empty mug away as he moved to vacate his barstool and braced himself against the thick, damp heat of the crowd he pressed into. He did his best to ignore the fresh pong of sweat, musk, perfume and tangy need, resisted the urge to close his eyes to shut out the memories of old they hearkened him back to and, instead, turned his focus fully on finding that bloody bastard cutpurse.

He had gotten nothing out of Brega or the staff that were in the know regarding Daggerhand business and he was ready to leave as that had been his only reason for coming here. It was painfully obvious that Vos had tagged along to sate his appetite for cunt. Ora grumbled at this; he wanted out and as soon as possible. The brothel had never been his choice haunt due to his all too painful familiarity with the industry. Moreover, he was a simple man keen to get on with his job and move on to the Pig's Foot to see if Merv knew anything about the debtor he was after or the job he was meant to do with his wayward companion.

Straining to peer through the sea of bodies that filled the bustling brothel, he tried again, “
Dira's cunt, Vos, ya petchin'-

His words were cut short as he felt a warm hand weasel its way up his shirt.

“Awe, c'mon darl. What's the rush? Vossy's just getting his kicks is all.” Tissi's sugary words mirrored her hand, snaking their way up and into his ear.

He froze for a moment, muscles tightening as he resisted the urge to jerk away, casting her a warning look.

She ventured on, disregarding his surly glare as she leaned into him, oozing practised confidence as her thumb dragged playfully across the sparse chest hair his loosely done shirt exposed “Y'now, it wouldn't hurt ya to let one of us take care o' ya sumtime - ”

He missed the teasing smile she gave him, attention back on the motley of bodies that were milling around him, desperate to find his lowly counterpart.

“- let us loosen ya up.” Her lips split into a cheeky, toothy smirk as her small hand slipped into his shirt, emphasising her words by trying to give his body a shake. His bulk barely budged save for his shoulders which gave a small sway.

Piss off, Tis.” He growled with a sniff as he scratched roughly – unconsciously – at the back of his off-hand, visibly in no mood for this shyke. He waved that hand to fend hers away which she wisely dropped.

The squat, sparsely dressed woman took enough of a step back to put the necessary space between them that she knew he was comfortable with and folded her arms across her full chest, visibly offended. She wasn't going to push him, she wasn't that daft.

Where's 'e at, Tis?” Ever flat, his tone brokered no argument.

“Up there wi' half the girls, mos' like.” Her words were equally curt but, spying the twitch of his nose as it flared and the flex of his jaw, she had second thoughts and changed her tone, words lightening as she tried to excuse what she said, “Y'know how he is when he's 'ere, Ora. Thinks he's a king entitled t' all our cunts withou' payin' cuz he got that bloody ink on 'is arm.”

He stared blankly at her for a tick, a furrow forming between his dark brows and she shifted uncomfortably, ready to prattle on more when he interjected dryly, “
And what is Ora s'pose to do bout that, uh?

It was Tissi's turn to stand there, staring, the air between them growing increasingly more uncomfortable by the chime as she visibly contemplating her next move. She frowned, shrugged and motioned with a tip of her head to the spiral staircase towards the back of the commons they stood in, voice losing its pluckiness, “Narvna's got 'im.” Then, adding, as if it was worth him knowing, “Pretty sure Rikke's with 'em, too.”

Ora didn't care to know as evident by the sneer on his freckled lips. She was missing the point and his patience was wearing thin.“
What room, Tis.

Noting this, she pursed her lips and tightened her arms across her chest, kohl-smudged eyes shying away, as she sighed “Third one once you're up there.”

Her bravado returned once his back was turned, calling out to his stocky form as he ploughed a path through the merry-makers, “Wouldn't hurt ya t'be friendly once'n a while. Maybe one a' us wouldn't mind bein' more helpful, ya ken? And I don't mean by givin' yer pecker a tug!” Garnering no response, she called out a little louder, rocking up onto her tiptoes as if that might help, “A thank you woulda been nice!”

It was rare for the lay-folk of Sunberth to be willingly out in the streets without cause or reason during the day, let alone at night, and, yet, the streets – if one were to call them such – were far from empty. Ora puzzled over this as he gave a pair of men cavorting towards him a filthy look, the duo leaning into one another as they staggered down the narrow rutted lane that lead to Brega's, carrying a bottle and a broken tune. A mangled version of the Whore of Western Heights preceded the spirited duo, bouncing hither-tither between the warped, water-damaged boards of the ramshackle buildings that surrounded them.

Refusing to alter his course, he uttered, “
Cockroaches everywhere.. crawlin' out th'wood-” The last word came out in a rush as he intentionally knocked into the reveller that failed to give way, the muscles of his torso, shoulders and and thighs bracing against the impact. “-Work,” he added just as the man jolted back, stringy body spinning away and nearly dropping.

Ora frowned and rolled his shoulder back as the man remained mostly upright with help from his friend who had yanked up a white-knuckled fist-full of the scrawnier man's filthy tunic to keep him on his feet. Straightening to his full height, he heard Vos' phlegmy chuckle rasp into a wheeze and knew the cutpurse had moved alongside him. Ora remained in his place, eyes on the other pair of men, willing them to react as he slowly clenched one of his own scarred and inked fists, free hand calmly rolling the sleeve of that arm up to bare the Daggerhand emblem to the brisk, evening Autumn air and the four eyes that remained cast in his direction.

It felt like chimes passed before someone moved, before one of the revellers gave the other a tug and the two scuttled off, the one with the bottle brandishing it as he cast a wary look over his shoulder, as if that might deter a pair of thugs from doing him harm. The other ran.

Vos pressed his hands into the small of his back and stretched, only satisfied once he heard a couple of pops, “Whad'ya expect?” Judging by the look on the slimmer man's face, it was obvious he wished he, too, was headed back in the direction of the brothel. Yet he didn't bother to tarry any longer and turned, falling into step with Ora as the pair resumed their trek south to the Castle Commons.

“I mean, shyke.. we should be back at Brega's gettin' our fill o' tits n' cunny. Them bloody stones dun curse the town no more n' now they sayin' there be gold in the mines again. All of 'um, e'ryone's thinkin they gon' be rich.”

It made no sense to Ora to spend money before having any so he countered with a snort.

Ore. Not gold. An' it means there might be work..” The smooth way in which he spoke near belied the disillusionment he felt towards it all, fingers giving the spotty stubble on his neck a bit of a scratch, “Don't mean there'll be coin.

Vos seemed nonplussed, mind still very much elsewhere, “But there will still be tits n cunny...” He turned his head to cast a forlorn glance behind him.

Ora couldn't help the fleeting half-smirk that twitched up the left corner of his lips or the huff of a chuckle that came from his nose and he sent his companion a sideways glance, “
Aye, not wrong. But ya can't get neither, Vossy, if ya don' got no coin.” He had recovered his deadpan way, face reverting to it look of perpetual disinterest. However, with a lofting of his brows he added cheekily, “An', les' face it, like you could ever get cunt without payin for it.

He didn't move quick enough to evade the fist he knew Vos would throw and endured it with a crooked smile and his own raspy laugh, ignoring the pain and numbness that shot down his arm. He gave his hand a good shake to get the feeling back as the pair reached the tavern, the voices and shouts within drowning out their conversation.

Again – bodies. Heaps of them, all cram packed into the glowing innards of the tavern. Ora nearly mourned the stench of the streets. At least, out there, the wind had stirred the night air. Inside it was insufferable; the smell of tang, sweat and unwashed bodies amplified ten fold. But, o, there was drink to be had and questions to be asked.

Ora manoeuvred himself through the boisterous crowd, free hand slowly working his other sleeve up to match before lowering to tug at the sash at his waist - ensuring it remained held steadfast by his belt – and then, at last, came to rest upon the rectangular bone and brass hilt of his kopis. It remained there, draped casually yet ready to grip at a moments notice as he drew close to the bar. Merv may have worked with Dalagnar in the past but that didn't mean everyone in the establishment would be as welcoming of those bearing the thorn and dagger.

Shouldering past a scruffy, dour looking man, Ora leaned into the bar, peering over the tops of those attached to it like babes to a teat and spied one of the barmaids who happened to look decidedly sunny despite being obviously harried by the sheer number of patrons she was tasked with serving this evening.

“So why'dya drag me down 'ere again?”

Vos was the one sounding aggrieved for once and Ora turned to cast a glance in his direction before settling his mismatched gaze on the barmaid once more.

We got questions to ask.

“We couldn't ask questions at Brega's?”

Ora already asked the questions at Brega's. Turned up nothing. Didn't know nothin' of the guy n the girls said they don't get no Sunnies in there.

A sigh.

“At least we got some service there. Ay!” The wiry, rat-faced cutpurse pushed past Ora to lean over the bar, trying to get the barmaid's attention. Whistling, he then shouted out, Oi, you!” He hefted up his lean forearm to show the Daggerhand emblem there and gave it a wee shake.

[The Pig's Foot Tavern] Sivah Sips & Secrets Spill (Deliath)

Postby Deliath on October 20th, 2016, 11:01 am

It had been a busy day in the Pigs Foot Tavern, being packed full to the rafters from the moment the tavern had opened and it hadn't taken long for Deliath to hear the good news about ore being found in the mines. It was possibly the best news she'd heard in a while, knowing that that meant there was a chance of more honest jobs for those that didn't have anything, and therefore more money, and that meant more money being spent in the tavern.

Of course with that news, many were cheerful and more than willing to spend their money and the Pigs Foot Tavern was the tavern in the busiest area which had drawn in a crowd larger than Deliath had seen in her entire time working at the Tavern, although she had only started working there just over twenty days ago, so she didn't really have much to compare to, but from the sounds of it, it was at one of its busiest times in a long while.

So far she'd been practically ran off her feet, fetching plates of food for their patrons and pouring their drinks, and the bar was drenched in alcohol.
She had hoped to clean that up to prevent the bar from becoming sticky but she hadn't had the chance to, between doing what was expected of her from the customers and those same customers leaning their arms on the bar, spreading the liquid even further.

It was a nuisance, but it was manageable and less damaging then the three groups of men that had started brawls earlier on in the day, only to be thrown out of the tavern when they came too close to breaking the furniture in the tavern.

The state of the tavern wasn't particularly good, with pools of spilt alcohol forming on the floor and tables and she couldn't do anything but watch as the crowd that filled the tavern stood and leant in it, spreading the mess further and further.

Rather than let that bother her though, she kept smiling and serving the customers, trying her hardest to hear what they were saying over the noise of the crowd.

Izurdin give me patience! she thought to herself as she kept up her smile and sunny disposition as she listened to everyone's orders and took their money, before running around and grabbing everything they'd ordered.

Not many had ordered food, with the most popular items being ale and cider. A few had bought wine, both by the glass and by the bottle, and some others had even bought shots of whiskey. She didn't quite know how much the whiskey had cost, so she had simply made a guess as to the price of the whiskey and charged them the same as a mug of ale. After all, although the shot of whiskey was much less, it was of a much better quality than the ale.

She continued on with her job watching each person that came in and taking note of them, making sure that they were served as soon as she could get to them.

It wasn't long before two new people entered the tavern, one of whom seemed to be fairly young, although he had a scar across one of his eyes that was pale in colour.

Over the course of her years in Sunberth Deliath had seen many people with injuries and scars yet each time she saw such a thing she felt uneasy, as though she was beginning to get queasy, and she wasn't sure why.

"'Scuse me, three ciders and an ale please!" came a voice from a man with a few missing teeth, distracting her from watching the two and she turned her attention to him, leaning forwards slightly so her bust was slightly more visible.
"Of course, can I get you anything else?" she asked, tilting her head and watching as his eyes frequently glanced down to her bust.
"Er, Two whiskeys as well love." the man said grinning slightly and Deliath smiled sweetly before grabbing four mugs and two smaller glasses. Carefully she grabbed the bottle of whiskey and poured equal amounts into the two smaller glasses, before putting it back and filling three of the mugs with cider and the last mug with ale before placing the drinks in front of the man.
"Cheers love!" he said grinning as his eyes glanced over her bust again and he dropped a handful of Mizas into Deliath's hand to pay for the drinks and she smiled sweetly at him before counting the money to find that he had handed over more than enough, although he had left the bar and she couldn't see him to give him his change, so instead she put the change on one of the shelves at the back of the bar.

She continued serving and smiling until the man with the pale eye and his friend got the the bar and one of them whistled and shouted before waving around a tattoo that she recognised as one of the gangs tattoos, and judging by the dagger she assumed that they were members of the Daggerhands and she nodded, grabbing the money that her previous customer had left on the bar before making her way to the two, keeping herself smiling despite feeling slightly panicked at the crowds and the chaotic nature of the tavern.

"Hi there, what can I get you both?" she asked wondering whether they were here for a drink, for Merv, or to cause trouble. She was hoping for either of the former as that was something much easier to deal with when the tavern was as crowded as it was.

The thicker of the two glowered as that scrawny arm shook far too emphatically and far too close to his face.

Oi, put yer twig away, yeah?” was all he said as he reached out to grab the other man's wrist, yanking it down.

“Ach, c'mon!” Vos yelped as he wrenched his wrist free from Ora's grasp and dropped it to his side, turning his side towards the bar to look at Ora pointedly, “Jus' tryna git us some service... Thinkin we could both use sum drink..” his voice lowered as he scoffed, mostly to himself, “You ah'specially.” He sniffed before mirroring his partner's narrowed look, “What's got yer knickers in a twist?”

Ora's attention had returned to the bargirl during Vos' sulk and he didn't bother to break his gaze from her even as Vos' words caused his brow to narrow. What hadn't gotten his knickers in a twist this evening? He picked at and twisted the webbing between his thumb and index fingers, jaw clenching and grinding as his mind went over the many things that were vexing him. To tell it true, it seemed everything had bothered him since he left the solitude of his room – the sheer amount of people crammed into this tavern only seemed to exacerbate this and he curled his upper lip in a small sneer before uttering, words flat and unamused, “
Ya coulda petchin helped back at Brega's.” He lifted a hand to pick at his chapped lower lip, growing twitchier by the tick, and his single hazel eye lolled over in Vos' direction belatedly. He certainly hadn't thought Vos' input would have changed the outcome but he wanted the chance to grumble about it.

“Aw, c'mon!” Vos' tone has gained an admonishing edge to it, “You seriously salty 'bout that?” He added, sweeping his arm towards the door in an incredulous manner.

Ora did his best not to prickle at this, to bite back in a knee-jerk fashion. It was more a matter of principle than anything else - which was rich given this was Sunberth - and it hadn't helped that his questioning had gotten him nowhere so far. It frustrated him that he felt like he was chasing his tail and every little niggle he had since encountered felt more like a proper chafe because of it. The fact that he didn't much care for the cutpurse certainly didn't help the situation and this was made plain as he countered harshly, “
You gonna bail on Ora when we're on the job, too, uh?” His single hazel eye narrowed, pinning his fellow Daggerhand in place.

Vos' natural cheekiness visibly melted away and he folded his arms tightly across his chest, meeting the mismatched gaze and holding it. “So that's what this is about, issit? You thinkin' I'm not up to the task, ay?”

Ora rolled his eye and swept his attention back to the bargirl just as she was dealing with another man who had seemingly pushed in before them, eyes narrowing as he chewed on the inside of his bottom lip, nails picking at an old scar on his chin. Vos, however, was not finished.

“I'll have you know I'm more than competent.” He seemed more proud of the fact he knew that word than anything else and he added whilst jutting his chin up, “Mayhaps yer jus' askin' the wrong people and lookin' in the wrong places. I mean..” He unfurled his arms and draped one over Ora's shoulder, leaning it, causing the younger of the two to tense up and try and pull away, “only a fool would spend money at a place in league with the very people he's hidin' from, ya ken?”

Ora bodily shrugged the man's arm from him with a heavy grunt, eyes narrowing as his gaze shifted elsewhere, focusing on nothing in particular as he bristled, inwardly kicking himself that he hadn't considered that.

Thankfully, Vos seemed to ignore his companion's body language and gave him a good slap on the back as he proclaimed heartily, as his attention switched the barmaid, as well “Ah, look, here she comes.”

Ora glanced up in time to see the bargirl heading their way and recovered himself enough by the time she presented herself with a smile and her good-natured query. He folded his arms along the edge of the sticky bar top, eyes focusing on her bosom, trying his best to unnerve her, before slowly travelling up to her own pale blue eyes, a haughty chill finding his own hazel one, heavily emphasised by the milkiness of his bad eye and the scar that ran through it. He didn't get a chance to get a word in, however, that taken but his wiry compatriot and the twitch that found the corners of his eyes gave away his feelings about this.

“I could think of a few things you could get me, lurv,” Vos spoke, making an attempt to be charming as he placed an elbow on the bar next to one of Ora's own and leaned in, a foul smile twisting his equally skinny lips, “you new?” He paused to lick at his stained teeth before adding with a perk of his dark bushy brows, “Wha's yer name, darl? You sure are a -”

A gallon of ale 'n two mugs,” Ora interjected firmly, cutting his rat-face companion off before he could continue his slimy banter, his cold aloofness unwavering. He cast a glance over his shoulder towards a table he had spied earlier - albeit occupied - and nodded towards it once his attention returned to her, "Ya can put it over there. Table will be free once ya do.

Vos' face was a mix of annoyance and confusion once Ora finished and the man watched as his companion rose without another word and headed in the direction of the table he had indicated earlier. Letting his jaw grow slack, he glanced in the barmaid's direction and shrugged.

Meanwhile, Ora was busy pushing his way through the merrymakers, bodily shoving the odd patron out of the way while skirting around others until he was finally able to lumber up towards the spot he had set his sights on. He rolled his shoulders back and straightened, ensuring he stood at his full height and kept his shoulders at their widest to appear as big as he could. He slowed his steps as he grew close, body swaying with a noticeable – and confident – swagger. Pausing before the table, he folded his arms across his broad chest, intentionally keeping the arm with the Daggerhand tattoo on the outside so it could be seen in a bid to seem as intimidating as possible.

The men lounging about the table paused in their revelry, one setting his mug down as another twisted in his chair to look fully up at the imposing figure that now stood above him.

“Er...” the one sitting closest to Ora started before the other, sitting opposite the table from him, chimed in all too eagerly, words slurring, “Y'come t'join us, friend.” Ora wondered if the man was too drunk to note the emblem he bore.

The man nearest him didn't seem to share his fellow reveller’s sentiment, however, and audibly hushed the other man but the drunkard was not deterred and swung his mug wide, proclaiming, “Have a drink.. we're all gon' be rich! Rich!

The other man shrank in his seat, eyeing his friend dubiously.

Ora chuckled. “
Ah, yes, Ora plans on having that drink.. and this table.” He paused for effect, not bothering to move and the reveller only grinned wider, eyes so lidded they might as well have been closed. The other man looked between his friend and the man standing above him, visibly tensing, a hand moving to his belt just as the reveller seemed to comprehend what Ora had said, grin fading.

“What?”

In that same moment, Ora had registered the movements the man nearest him had made - right hand moving to left hip - and his arms loosed as a spike in adrenaline hit him. A blade, he decided right then and there, having no doubt that was what the man was reaching for, and he lunged just as that question tumbled from the other's reveller's lips.

The two collided into one another just as the other man began to rise, Ora's body crashing hard into the man's shoulder as he threw his arms around the patron, tackling him as his momentum forced the man back into his seat and nearly causing them all to topple over. A series of surprised shouts rose up, both from the man Ora was now on top of and those around them, curses flying all the while.

Ora grappled to get a hold of the man, wrapping one arm around his front, doing his best to pin the man's arms in the process but only managing to pin one – the man's off-hand – and reached for the hand that he had seen dip to what he figured was a blade. He was too slow, however, the tavern patron having already tugged his dagger free from its sheath and brandished it wildly upon a hoot and holler.

Growling through gritted teeth, Ora squeezed and tightened his hold on the man, feet shifting and finding better purchase, legs bending and tensing as he braced himself against the man's body and chair whilst he worked to fend away the blade that now whirled about. He grunted as he felt the blade nick his forearm and then caught the dagger wielder’s wrist, gripping it tight and wrenching it back. Shifting abruptly, turning his body away from the man and table, Ora bodily swung the man from his chair.

The two scrambled, tussled and stumbled as Ora slipped his arm up and under the man's chin and squeezed, on-lookers now gathering around, some with hands on the hilts of their own blades while others cheered. Ora worked the stranglehold he now had on the patron – fuelled by the pounding of his heart in his ears and the sounds of the crowd – and pinned the man back against his own chest whilst desperately holding tight to the man's now outstretched wrist. He stomped down on the back of the man's calf and then kicked at the back of his knee and felt his own body give as the weight of the man dropped.

Casting a look at the other reveller, he felt a bit disappointed that the man was still sitting there, jaw slack, but carried on, giving him a good show as he tightened his arm around the other patron's throat, grinning as he spoke through gritted teeth,
Easy now...” The man in his grip refused.

The patron flailed and fought as best he could on his knees, striking at his attacker with his free hand while trying his best to wrench his other hand and dagger free. This forced Ora to strain and fight back, wrestling the other man to the ground all the while his own arm began to burn from holding the man's dagger at bay. He ignored the sting as the man dug his dirty nails into his bicep, focusing on tightening his strangle hold while yanking hard at the man's outstretched arm, pulling it in an awkward angle. The man cried out sharply and this only served to egg the young man on.

Ora kneed the man hard in the side, felt the tendons and muscles shift under his grip, then heard the sound of the dagger clatter against the floorboards. Relieved, he released the man's wrist and quickly took a fist-full of the patron's hair, prying his head back as he simultaneously dropped a knee into his back whilst tugged back on his throat with his arm. Then he toyed casually, “
There there, now. It didn't need to come to this. Ora just wanted you table, ay?

The man moaned, slapping and pawing at Ora's arm and hand.

Frowning, Ora fully released the patron, giving him a hard shove in the process. He stood swiftly and immediately bent to pick up the dagger, turning around to face the patron once he righted himself. He watched as the man slowly got to his feet, one hand rubbing his neck as the other clutched his side. They stood there, eyeing each other and, for a moment, it looked like they could have gone at it again. But the patron seemed wise enough not to chance it – especially now that he lacked his blade – and took a wary step back.

The other reveller had finally found his feet and moved up behind his friend, clutching his shoulders as he leaned in to whisper something. The two paused, looking at Ora, and then turned to head towards the exit.

Ora wasn't finished.

'Ey!” He shouted, getting the pairs attention – along with half the tavern. He swayed and held the dagger towards the two – hilt out – brows cocking, “You forgot something.

The pair exchange a look before both turned their attention back to the Daggerhand thug. Hesitantly, the dagger's owner stepped forward, studying Ora in the process. He eventually snatched the dagger away before both made a hasty exit.

Ora turned back to the bar and spotted Vos in the crowd. He spread his arms wide, a silly grin spreading across his lips, “
Ora got us a table.

Vos only shook his head as he walked past and dropped heavily into the seat recently vacated by the drunken reveller. Ora followed suit, dropping triumphantly into the opposite seat.

notesSo sorry to make this reply so big and for the delay.. they will shorten! Let me know if you need me to alter anything. Also, graders, apologies for the wordiness. It's been a while since I wrote action scenes and I wanted it to make sense and be clear but it feels a bit like rambly garbage. Feedback is welcomed!

Deliath noticed the mans arms on the counter and cringed inwardly, making sure that nobody could tell. She couldn't imagine quite what had been spilt on it, and knew that she would have avoided touching the bar at all costs in fear of spreading its filth everywhere.
Then she noticed his gaze and tried her hardest not to show the uncomfortable feeling rising from her stomach. She pushed the feeling down and kept it hidden with her usual smile, before finding herself glancing at the mans clouded eye. She imagined that there was a great, or possibly haunting, story behind that, but despite her interest she decided that it would be for the best if she didn't mention it and tried to ignored it, or at least act as though both of his eyes were normal.

Then she realised he was looking at her bust and she couldn't help but flash a slight smile, leaning forwards slightly, wondering if he was interested at all, or just looking.
Then she noticed his eyes move up to her own and she simply smiled, before turning her attention to the other man as he spoke and she smiled at him sweetly. He seemed more interested in her than the man with the clouded eye, and Deliath knew that she could possibly use that to her advantage, but before he finished his sentence and she could respond, the man with the clouded eye injected to order a gallon of ale and two mugs, and telling her a table to take it to.
She nodded, unsure of what he meant when he said that the table would be empty by the time she took their drinks to the table.

Smiling, she grabbed a large pitcher that would easily hold a gallon of ale, and briefly turned to the man who had seemed to be interested in her.
"You can call me Del, and yeah, I'm pretty new here." she said softly, with a somewhat sultry smile, before turning away and beginning to fill the pitcher with ale. As she did so, she grabbed two of the mugs and hung them from her index and ring fingers, before she heard a commotion coming from the direction that the cloudy eyed man and his friend were positioned.
Frowning slightly, she stopped the ale from pouring and turned to look at what was happening to see the daggerhand man with the clouded eye fighting with one of the men that had been sat at the table he had pointed to and Deliath found herself rolling her eyes before getting back to pouring the gallon of ale.
"As long as they don't break anything..." she mumbled under her breath sighing and rolling her eyes again, trying her hardest to make sure all the other patrons at the bar knew that she would be with them shortly. They were mostly, drunk, so that proved fairly easy to do so. She doubted that they'd even know how long they'd waited already. Most of them seemed to have lost their sense of time in all the pints of ale they'd drunk, but at least that made Deliath's job a little bit easier.

As she finished pouring the gallon of ale, she grabbed two mugs from a shelf beneath the bar and balanced them so that they hung from the index and ring fingers of her left hand, before she turned to look at the daggerhand pair to see the cloudy eyed one still 'persuading' the men to give up their table, and she simply stood waiting, a look of disproval on her face as she wondered what Merv might do if any of the fittings of his tavern were broken, although so far it seemed that the only thing getting hurt were the men that had been sat at the table.
Out of the corner of her eye, she saw one of the groups of people sat at a table towards the other side of the tavern begin to vacate their table and head towards the door, seemingly disturbed by the fight, although only that group seemed to have been affected negatively. Most of the other customers hadn't even noticed the fight, and those that had were watching quite happily, a few even trying to encourage it, although that was to be expected from a drunk group of Sunberthians. The lawlessness of the city made it violent, although charming in its own little way.

After the fight was over, Deliath put her usual smile on her face and made her way over to the table, glad that another barmaid had just got back to the bar after collecting empty mugs and pitchers.
"A gallon of ale and two mugs?" she said cheerily as she placed the ale on the table, before unhooking the mugs from her fingers and placing them either side of the ale. "I should thank you for not breaking anything. That would have been awkward to explain to Merv, knowing how he's on good terms with, and tends to try and help, you lot." she said, hoping that she hadn't said anything to offend either of the men. She quite liked being alive.
"Anyway, we do have some higher quality drinks, and the spiced two Berry cider if that would interest either of you?" she suggested to the two. As they were daggerhands, she wondered whether they were here to just drink, or whether they were here on business, in which case she'd rather they took any fighting outside to prevent the damaging of the tavern. "I'm assuming the good news brought you out? The mines and all that. Seems to have brought everyone out?" she spoke cheerily with a smile on her face, hoping that her question might cause the men either agree, or to tell her what they were here for.

NoteSorry, for how long mine took too, I meant to get it out a while ago but university and writers block for in the way
