[The streets of Syliras] Coyote Wild [Gereth]

As the pair exited the bazaar, Jischa subtly began to steer them in the direction of the Golden Dragon Inn. It was a bit of a surprise that he'd been to the Golden Dragon before but hadn't noticed the bracelet around her wrist before asking what it was she did for a living, perhaps he hadn't noticed. Whatever the reason, she was quite pleased to have found him tonight; both the rustlings in the darkness and the chill settling over her bare skin were held at bay by his presence, the warmth he generated decidedly masculine. 'Not that I can't handle myself,' she thought immediately, defensive even in her own mind.

Out loud, she spoke in a somewhat teasing tone, "So, you've been to the Dragon, and yet I've never seen you." She pretended to pout, looking up at him as they again passed through the shortcut alleyway, the location of where she'd first caught his attentions, a fact of which she remained unaware. Had she known he'd followed her, she might have been faintly alarmed, but possibly flattered as well; she wasn't the type of girl who balked at attention, even potentially dangerous attention - especially from dark and handsome strangers.

"Did I never catch your eye, then?" She disentangled her arm from his, twirling in front of him and walking backwards for a few paces. "Am I not your type?" she asked this with a hint of challenge in her tone, she'd not yet met one whose type she wasn't. Even men who prefered busty redheads found their attentions swayed by the diminutive blonde, even women who'd never entertained thoughts of daliances with the fairer sex gave a second thought to the idea in her presence. Certainly she was beautiful, there was no doubt of that, but more importantly she possessed the allure of the Konti, and that did wonders toward swaying preferences she'd discovered.

Her joviality was faintly dampered by his request that she tell him of Mura, the subject wasn't one she wanted to broach even in her own mind, much less with a stranger, no matter how handsome. "Mura is beautiful, it's dazzling white and all who visit it claim that it exceeded their expectations."Image The smile on her face remained in place, though it didn't quite reach her eyes now, and she spun again, tucking her arm back into Gereth's firmly as they continued toward the inn. "But enough of places so distant. You're from Syliras, you said? I've not been here so very long, perhaps you could tell me more about it?"

[The streets of Syliras] Coyote Wild [Gereth]

Postby Gereth on December 13th, 2010, 10:53 pm

Delicious, Gereth thought to himself. He loved people who had secrets,. He especially loved people who talked a lot about things they didn’t think mattered to try to hide them. Jischa was an enigma and that was important for him to maintain interest in not robbing and or hurting her in any way. The way she carried herself spoke of someone with confidence and more importantly someone who was trying to -not- look like prey. She didn’t have it totally down pat though. Gereth admired her innocence despite even her occupation. A companion in Syliras wasn’t exactly an enviable position in terms of social status.

The coyote didn’t have a lot of room to judge her though,. As they made their way back to the Golden Dragon Gereth was forced to contend with what he was as well He was a thief when he had to be, a killer when that failed, and much much worse. He didn’t feel any shame about it but not a lot of people would have liked to be in his company especially in a mostly deserted city street at night.

Believe me dearheart,” he began softly, his voice he tried to keep even as he smelled her and the wine on her. The scent alone was enough to baffle him but he weathered on as he continued to speak. A girl like this would be used to and most likely unflattered by another fumbling suitor. “it isn’t through any fault of yours that I haven’t seen you at the Golden Dragon before. You’re lovely enough that anyone would notice let alone go out of their way to have you notice them in return.

As far as Syliras goes… I make it my business to know a lot of the things that go on here. I know a lot of the streets and alleys and haven’t seen you once moving through them. You like it a little dangerous, no?” He aped the hint of a challenge that Jischa had in her voice earlier as they moved

The coyote was a lot of undesirable things but afraid of women was not one of them. This girl didn’t frighten him the way that humans might be. Mating was just that, fun. Paying for it even didn’t seem like a bad idea. It would get him out of the chill and someone else would be around to drink wine with this evening.

[The streets of Syliras] Coyote Wild [Gereth]

Postby Jischa on December 16th, 2010, 2:25 pm

Jischa was curious about the man whose arm she clung to as they moved down the nearly deserted streets, the man who spoke little and answered even less. The fact that none of her questions had been answered with enough clarity to sate her curiosity sent her mind into overdrive, imagining that he might be a killer or even a pirate. The thoughts sent a chill down her spine that caused her to shiver visibly, but whether it was from fear or excitement wasn't discernable. She'd heard talk, in passing, of Konti kept as slaves, and she didn't envy them their lot in life, but a pirate slave, well, that was almost romantic, wasn't it? Adventure and excitement..

So caught up in her thoughts was she that she hadn't immediately heard the question posed to her, and she blushed, looking up at Gereth with a quizzical eye. Danger.. was he a mind reader? She released his arm, tugging her dress straight as they approached the front of the inn. "Depends on the danger, I'm always up for a little trouble," she smiled, moving across the veranda and through the door, into the artfully lit and splendidly decorated front room. Scanning the area, she frowned as she noted that her cloak was still on the couch where she'd left it, in a darkened little alcove populated by two male travelers and another woman, no doubt another Companion. "Oh, wonderful," Jischa muttered under her breath, turning to regard Gereth, her head tilting up slightly to look in his eyes.

"I left my cloak over there," she jerked her head subtly in the direction of the secluded little area. "And I'm afraid if I go back over I'll be dragged back into that dreadful little conversation. I don't suppose you could get if for me?" Jischa looked to Gereth beseechingly; she'd noted how easily he moved through the shadows and knew such a skill might come in handy for her now. Used to being acquieced to, she nevertheless smiled coyly, her eyes promising reward for this favor. "If that goes well, you can just head on over there," and now she indicated the front desk, where patrons could pay for rooms and Companions for whatever length of time they'd like. "And then we can head up, unless you're the type that likes to stay down here for a while."

ImageShe smiled playfully, there were many patrons with a bit of a voyeuristic side to them that liked to get to know their Companions in the semi-privacy of the lower alcoves. The myriad couches and hearths, not to mention the complimentary wine, kept many of the inns guests entertained for the hours they visited, though of course just as many, if not more, opted for the privacy that rooms entailed. Either way, Jischa smiled encouragingly at the handsome stranger eager to both get her cloak back, and to get to know him better.
