Twilight Tower
Some time at the beginning of the season Raeyn had asker Irmina to keep her keen eyes out for interesting pieces of wood for him. And though such things weren't exactly in her area of expertise, she had at least entertained the request instead of laughing him out of her basement domain. That morning she had at last given him the tip of a wood cutter who had some handsome logs for sale at the Azure market. And the moment the market opened for the day Raeyn had been the first one there. Now two logs of yew found their way into his possession along with a mighty fine bit of cherry tree. And the alchemist had many a purpose for these things in mind.
As money exchanged hands, Raeyn commissioned a couple of workers to transport the logs to the Twilight Tower where, come the early rays of evening sunshine, himself and Sasha would collect their new toys. There was plenty a glorious fun to be had. Raeyn could almost taste it.
The procurement of the other necessary materials had befallen the Kelvic who, all things considering, did quite the thorough job. With his bond mate's backpack of voiding in hand, Sasha came to meet Raeyn at one of the downstairs labs. And the moment the redhead snuck in though those massive doors, Sasha's eyes lit up at the sight of him.
They were an odd pair, to say the least. The red and white alchemist and the Kelvic. Though the longer they had spent together the more they seemed to rub off on each other. Sasha, who was far simpler a man than his human counterpart began to indulge in fashion even though he gravitated heavily towards the practical styles of the season. Still he was dressed smart, stylish in clothes that complemented his slight frame exquisitely. The hues of the season brought out the best of his handsome face like a bouquet of wild flowers accented a single white lily.
Raeyn too had changed. The moment his rain cloud eyes met the pitch black orbs of Sasha's, the first thing he did was come to give him a tight squeeze and a peck on the forehead. There was more assurance in him, a freedom that came with the good moods that plagued him. His hair was undone, smoothed only with a comb and draped over one shoulder. The skin of his hand, though it had turned to snow white, did little to bother him for only the opinion of one man of his looks mattered to him now. And that man thought the world of him. He could feel that in their bond.
"Good evening, love." he said, looking around the lab to see that everything was in place. And indeed it was. At the centre, a relatively large, horizontally placed alchemy ring lay, awaiting use, bound by coils upon coils of aged djed wire. A vet of water by the window. He strolled over to the wall where a rack of protective suits and masks hung, with little urgency in his step, dropping his cloak to the ground and retrieving one for himself, tossing another to his partner. "Have you seen much of Orath before I arrived?"
"No. He's not dropped by. Does he know we're here?"
"Yes. I've been meaning to catch up with him." sighed Raeyn before looking to Sasha with a smile of anticipation and pearly white teeth. "Shall we begin then?"
Excited, Sasha nodded. It was such a sacred thing they shared. Such a magical adventures. As the stars blinked into existence one by one outside the window the two mages prepared for the night of alchemy ahead of them .
