5 Winter 522

Sitting on the wooden public area not too far of the beach, Moritz rested his body. It had not been that long since he had come to Syka, but already it was time to go. However not back to Sunberth where he had come from prior, but to another spot. Lhavit, his first home. It had been ages since he had been there, and he had hopes for while he was there. And now with a easy way to get back, he did not have a good reason not to do so.

And so closing his eyes he focused for a bit on a small token on his wrist among other objects, resting one outstretched finger on it.

When he thought of Lhavit and his home there the place in question he felt was home was obvious. Infinity Manor. It was the literally magical place where he had been born, grown up, and existed for most of his time until leaving Lhavit entirely. Sure he had gone off on short trips within the city. Going to see his Iraso master outside of Lhavit who happened to be a witch. Trips to see his combat instructor who had taught him the basics of blades and combat without weapons. And school, while he had attended in his youth...

Any time he was not at those places he was usually home at Infinity Manor. Focusing on it now he pictured the place in his mind, seeing it stretch up to the sky much taller than a normal simple home. As before he focused on it in turn in varying ways, going from trying to envision the entire structure in his head to picturing the path he would travel it.

First was the cobbled pathway leading along the peaks. And at the end was the front door of Infinity Manor, a door that often seemed to open on its own as an action of the buildings volition. It was something he had never doubted or questioned. Instead having grown up there he felt the entire thing was truly normal. It was quite awhile, he thought to himself, that he realized other buildings were not just being rude and were not animate and alive like his home.

Just from approaching it he could sense Infinity's grace extending outward, her body and power potent as his eyes rested on her. He had seen her in his djed sight while activating his Iraso vision, and he had seen no other building alive like her. Not, he recalled, that he had checked every building he had entered... But those he had he had not felt the same from them.

Entering her welcoming front door Moritz would run inside, rarely walking at a slow pace as he padded along barefoot and felt each step of her form.

Up from there was the metal circling staircase, which eventually would lead upward level after level until he reached his room. He was sure even now upon returning his room would still be there undisturbed. Not that he had a lot going on in his room... He never had a lot of possessions living there, but it was "his" room all the same. A bed, some storage for clothes and things, and a few other odds and ends... Thinking on this he recalled Infinities smile, not a physical one but one he understood and felt from being around her. The one he felt she had after she played a prank, or followed through on some wish of his like adding things on the outside for him to climb. She had never spoken with words, but he felt more fondly of her than his own mother.

With a sigh he wished she could come to Sunberth, knowing he would feel so much safer with her there... And with talks with Evalynn of some day having children, having a living house in a place like Sunberth would also make him feel much better when he had to leave her alone.

Focusing again on Infinity visage all at once he smiled fondly, wishing he could see her now... Seeing her stretching walls... Metal fixtures... And her peaking roof up in the lofty sky so gracefully. Both a building and a living being, he thought of Infinity as his home quite fondly.

A Home Returned II

As he focused his mind on Infinity Manor, for a few moments Moritz was distracted. What was Infinity? How did she work? He had never really sussed it out with his mother, never really talked about it. He knew just from living there that she was alive, aware, no less than a person. He did not need to speak to her to know that. Instead she spoke through actions. But how was it done? And were there others?

Moritz was unsure. If nothing else his mother had a keener connection to the building than he did, but he was unsure exactly why that was. Shaking his head though he tried to focus his mind back, turning back to the subject in question. Meditating on the spot he felt in Lhavit was his home, namely Infinity Manor.

Going backward he viewed her as he did from afar, seeing her like he did from the path leading to her front door. One large structure jutting upward, reaching up to they sky. Not huge, but a fairly tall building compared to most he had seen but the biggest in Lhavit. Stone. Wood. Metal. Glass. She was not one thing, but many. She was beautiful. Amazing. Constant in his life, while also willing to change. In some ways it made Moritz sad having been away for so long and not seeing her. She was steadfast and always there, while his mother was neither... And she was always willing to help or show her caring by her actions. After all she had seen him start from a baby, all the way up to when he left Lhavit and his home to eventually end up in Syka...

A solid front door... With a knocker... Shaped like an Okomo head. And inside rooms, mostly an open space right away since the large and tall central metal staircase was there. Off of that was the kitchen, and the dining area where Moritz recalled many people sitting and eating on a few occasions... But only vaguely... Most of the time he just recalled eating alone or perhaps with his mother or one other, or even with just ghosts around attracted to Infinity or his mother...

The kitchen was something he felt certain he could use much better now, but at the time he had not known how to use it. Not that his mother used it much, not really being much of a proper cook... Luckily Moritz was fine with raw things like fruits and vegetables, and was not too hard to find something for. He was picky, not eating many things, but the things he did eat did not take much work or really cooking. Though he liked to think that since then he had grown and learning to cook had expanded his eating options and choices.

Up from that level was the other floors, though Moritz had spent most of his time on the ground floor or his own where his room was. Inside his door was his things, his bed where he slept, a window he looked out, and things he romped around. As he kept on focusing on things in his mind, picturing once more Infinity as seen from the pathway leading to her, he felt a completeness in the token. After a few moments he opened his eyes and knew he was ready, that the token was charged.

Without thinking he thought of home, of Lhavit, of Infinity Manor, and wanted to go there. Not needing any further waiting and having his things with him, he opened his mouth to go there by speaking the activation phrase. "Home."
