Dancing and Singing (Kail)

16 Day of Summer near end of day.

Taithrosa had sent a note to Kail asking her to join him. It was a beach farther out from the city proper were they could have a chance to be alone. He had brought with him some fresh bread and some fresh fruit juice. He had also brought a blanket. It had been a spontanious thing, he had felt the need to just spend time away with the woman that he loved. The peace and tranquility of Mura and its beaches were something to enjoy.

Taithrosa and sat on the blanket. His long legs stretching off the side of the blanket. His silver eyes kept eyes in the direction that Kail would be coming. He had enjoyed his time with Kail, and wanted to contiune to get to know her better. He was still sure that they had know each other in a prebious life.

She was actually one of the best things he had in this current life. He missed the heavens were he had retired. Despite that though he enjoyed his time spent with Kail. She was a light in his life.
Do you think that you could ever, Through all eternity,
Find out the generation Where Gods began to be?
Or see the grand beginning, Where space did not extend?
Or view the last creation, Where Gods and matter end?
Me thinks the Spirit whispers, “No man has found ‘pure space,’
Nor seen the outside curtains, Where nothing has a place.”

Dancing and Singing (Kail)

Postby Kail D'Rea on July 28th, 2011, 5:55 am

Kail slowly walked down the beach toward where Taith had indicated he would be. Her mind swirled with thoughts. She knew Taith well enough by now to know that chances were good this invitation followed a just a spontaneous thought: a desire to be together. As a Konti, she could understand the need for closeness and society of loved ones, in spite of her own unusual need for solitude as well.

That had not been her first thought when she received the message from Taith though. Instead she was initially annoyed at the interruption to her work. Kail knew she tended to obsess with achieving perfection in her craft and also knew that as hard as it was at the moment, it was always better to put it down for other demands in her life, so she resolved to go. It was after work hours, after all, and she was working on a personal project. Still she lingered just a moment over a few details she wanted to finish, focusing on the delicate work of her tiny brush on the page before her. Maybe she had stayed too long and left Taith sitting alone on the beach for an awkward amount of time. Ah, well. He would undoubtedly forgive her and she would undoubtedly forget her own flaws as soon as she was with him. He always did and she always did. It was one of the many things she loved about being with the large man she so cared for and relied on.

She still didn't hurry forward, choosing instead a leisurely pace. Kail’s mind wandered from her work to thinking over her relationship with Taith and the ways it had affected everything in her life, right down to who she was. She thought more about these kinds of things now more than before he had come to her small island. One more way he had changed her. She started to think of other ways she was different, but then her eyes picked up Taith's figure down the beach. He was lounging on a blanket, staring, it seemed, right at her. As she moved forward and got a clearer view, she marveled once again at his perfect physic. He was stunningly gorgeous and by far the most attractive being she has ever laid eyes on. She still occasionally found it hard to believe he really was her’s, wondering if one day his free spirit would just wander off. Not that she believed that for longer than the second it took to think, but when she saw his chiseled features and perfect body laid out in the sand like that, she needed to add the steady strength of his eyes to the picture and all the love and devotion they contained to remember the reality of their dedicated relationship.

She finally picked up her pace, hurrying at last to the love of her life. As she reached his secluded spot on the beach she threw herself directly toward him, trusting his strong arms to carefully catch her and enfold her as they had so many times before. As she had known would happen, all other thoughts left Kail’s normally busy mind as she once again found herself alone with and focused on Taithrosa Eldytia.

The son of Leth saw his love walking towards him, and he smiled a gentle smile, and he sat up straight waiting for her to come. He smile wider when he saw her hurring towards. He reached over and poured some of the juice into two cups. He raised himself to his knees and encircled her in a hug, and kissed her as she came to him.

"Thank you for coming." He said quietly in her ear.

He sat back down on the blanket and motioned for her to join him as he picked up a glass for each of them. He enjoyed the chance to had to speed time with this woman who he loved, and who loved him. There life had been so strange together. Nothing really odd, but he was a fallen son of Leth, and she a daughter of the Konti. She was shy and acadmical, and he had trama from his departure of the realms of Leth.

Together thought they had worked past these hardships. This wasn't saying they were perfect, but they loved each other so much and they knew they could overcome these little differences.

"How was your day, my love." He asked as he settled down.

Dancing and Singing (Kail)

Postby Kail D'Rea on August 1st, 2011, 4:31 am

“Busy, as usual.” Kail purred once she was comfortably settled down it Taith’s lap with a drink in her hand. “Really you can’t understand the enormity of copying out an entire library until you’ve tried it yourself.” Kail laughed lightly. “No, you know I love my work, and I started working on a little drawing I’ve been wanting to copy after work was over. Sorry if it kept me over-long. I just love copying the masters’ and when I came upon this little image of a flower I’ve never seen before, I was just sure it had been done by a great hand. I want to know the flower. Can I show you the drawing and see what you think? Of the flower it mean.” Then without pausing for an answer or a breath she went on, “and how was your day love? Tell me all about it.”

It really was always true: once she was with Taith, Kail came out of her protective shell of work and solitude and really came alive. She wanted to talk to Taith and hear his resonate tones respond. She wanted to rememorize his face before it changed. Then she wanted to forget it and remember the new one. It was also so and there was no denying that whenever she was with him, Kail was consumed by Taith. She waited for him to speak, ready to hang on his every word.

Dancing and Singing (Kail)

Postby Taithrosa Eldytia on August 8th, 2011, 12:56 am

He had watched the changes in Kail through out this last year of a relationship. Unfortunately while he had memories of Kail from their previous life together the memories were far from complete. He had enjoyed learning about her. When he had first meet her she had been shy, and seemed more to listen then to talk, but as he had gotten to know her better she had begun to open up to him. He could tell that she was opening her heart to him as she told him about herself. She had a protective shell around herself that she only allowed a few people threw and you had to prove that she could trust you.

The young man smiled at her as she settled on his lap and made herself comfortable . He listened as she talked about her work. He considered her an artist even thought she never agreed when they talked about it. He tilted his head as she spoke about finding a picture of a flower. Taithrosa looked at her and nodded his head. “I am willing to look, I am not much a herbalist yet though so I might not know what it is.” He said with a grin. He ran a hand along her leg enjoying the feeling of her skin under his hand as they sat together.

“My day was okay. Nothing really serious. I did some more studying in the library. Learned some more about stomach problems. That is my current study. I won’t bother going into details.” He said looking into her eyes. “I do love you my love.” He said wrapping his arms around her and kissing her lips.

Dancing and Singing (Kail)

“And I love you, too” Kail easily replied. She settled into Taith’s chest, wrapping her arms around his neck and feeling his steady breathing and enjoying the feel of his hand on her skin. It was going to be a good night. She loved savoring these sweet little moments.

Kail turned her head and looked out over the evening sea and contemplated paradise. Her little island home seemed to be just that with the waves reaching the sand and the sand reaching the two of them. Everything seemed perfect and peaceful. Kail was glad to have come to the beach today. More and more lately, when she was near the water she wanted to stay, or go into it. She had found several reasons to visit the underwater part of the city recently and had been missing her grandmother’s home. She’d probably consider staying there for a while, sleeping with the gentle water movements reaching her and gently swaying her form while the warmth and life of the water filled her soul with the joys of her race, but of course there was Taith. She loved being with him in the little cottage she thought of as theirs now. And she was closer to her work at her own home.

She pulled her eyes from the calling sea and looked instead into the steady silver of Taith’s eyes. Suddenly and without meaning to, she sensed something in him. He intended something more by wanting to meet her here. She reached deeper. His intentions didn’t seem hurtful, really, be she could sense that they were not pleasant either. He intended to tell her something. She had learned through experience that with Taithrosa at least, if she was bothered by something she felt, she needed to talk to him about it. It would worry at her until she knew what his full intentions were. This wasn’t always a good thing. She’d ruined several surprises this way in the past. She did always feel badly about that and maybe that’s what was going on again, but she just wasn’t the type to wait for a surprise.

“Taith, love, I don’t mean to pry, but I can tell there is something on your mind tonight. Do you want to talk about something?” Kail keep her inquiry neutral, but was just dying to know what was going on.

The sound of the waves crashing against the beach was a peaceful back ground noise as the two of them laid on the beach together. He listened to her heart beating against his body as his own beat against hers.

He just enjoyed these moments together. He was surprised by her question. Yes there was something he wanted to talk to her about. He gave her a smile. She was intuitive about such things. "I did want to speak to you about something." He kissed her lips gentle. "As I am sure you are aware, the opal order likes its healers to go out and learn more. I have heard of a new community that has been discovered, and feel that I need to visit it for a season." He paused clearly devided on the subject. He really didn't want to leave but he felt a pull to visit this new community. He wasn't sure why just that he did.

That was part of the problem with being connected to the other realm, with memories still of that place, sometimes he felt things that couldn't be resisted. He held her close. "I am not sure why I feel the need to travel to this town, but something about my father, something deep in me draws towards this." He paused. "I won't be long, and then I will be back to you." He said holding her close to his body. His silver eyes watching hers.

Dancing and Singing (Kail)

Postby Kail D'Rea on August 25th, 2011, 6:16 pm

Her violet eyes widened in surprise as Kail listened to Taith tell her he was leaving. It seemed to her he'd only been here a little while, but time flew by quickly and she and Taith had barely been apart for a year now. She wasn't even sure what she would do while he was gone.

Analizing that thought, Kail realized that she'd just accepted that Taithrosa would be gone. It was hard to say how long when distant travel was involved and anything could happen. In all reality, he might not return at all. Yet, Kail knew she wasn't going to argue or try to get him to stay. If he had to go, he had to. maybe it was a genetic trait: to simply accept that on Mura, some stayed and some went and life went on.

Still, she was sad and suddenly felt very lonely. She didn't want Taith to go. To looked into his silver eyes, reflecting the colorful sunset behind them and her own eyes filled with tears. She looked away. Why was life this way? why couldn't everyone just want to stay where they belonged and be happy and content? It wasn't fair! She swallowed hard and, eyes still on the sand, looked into Taith's intentions. It was a relief to know that whatever happened int he future, at least she knew he intended to come back, even to hurry back, to their home. That gave her the curage to look up again and even smile a little.

"I understand that you need to go. I will miss you." That was all she could say right now. Kail looked again out over the inviting sea and thought of Taith sailing away on it. It suddenly seemed less friendly. She turned her face into Taith's chest again, wrapped her arms around him, and held on with all the energy and strengh she had.

Taithrosa felt Kail cling to her himself. He looked at her felt her body pull closer to him. He held his body against hers and thought for a long moment. He knew that Kail's father had left, and that it had seemed normal, but she did seem to be affected by his desision to leave.

He didn't say anything for a long time. "I want you to know that I will come back for you. I promise by my father Leth that I will return." He looked down at her as he held her close as the the water crashed against the coast. "I want us to be always together. "

His voice was soft but strong in her ears "I know that it isn't the way of the konti, or even the modern Akalaks, and the Ethaefel are to handcapped to have a culture. I want us to be joined together forever under the eyes of the gods." He held her close, and slipped off the silver ring that had come with him from the heavens. "I want you to be my wife." He put the ring into her hands. "I want you to keep this ring as a symbol of my promise. That when I get back we will be united, and that no mater were the order or Leth takes me through out our lives I will always return to you."

Dancing and Singing (Kail)

Postby Kail D'Rea on September 14th, 2011, 7:18 pm

Kail didn’t know what to say. She was completely taken off guard. Taith was going to leave Mura. Was that a good time to make a commitment like this? It didn’t really matter for her. She knew she had given her love and would never have it back to give again, but out in the wide world, who knew? Taith might find true love in the form of some study he was truly passionate about, some mission that needed him, even some way to return to the heavenly home he missed so much. With the promise he was offering her, it would only be harder if he didn’t return.

She looked down at the ring in her hand, the one Taith never removed. She knew it was special to him. He just might come back for it. For a selfish moment she wanted to keep it, to have him bound to her in some way and to be able to hold it and remember him. Then her feelings shifted and she didn’t want him to be without his treasure. She was going to return it, along with the promise to be here waiting for him when he returned when she looked at his face and knew she couldn’t. He had given it to her selflessly and truly and she would hold it close to her heart always. Well, unless he returned, then she would take great pleasure in returning it to him.

Thoughts stopped and word came instead. “Taith, I love you. You are right, marriage is not common among our peoples, yet I would love nothing more than to add a layer to our bond, a commitment to each other and also to our gods that we will be faithful. Maybe even be together, if we are lucky.” A wry smiled crossed her face with these words. Yes, it would be lucky and unusual, but it was what she wanted. “Your return here will show me that we do have a chance to have a long relationship, a life together for real. I will think it through and be ready when you return. I will be ready to become your wife.” The last word almost didn’t make it out. Kail wanted to cry from joy and sadness and frustration all at once. Marriage would be wonderful, but she still was afraid that it might not happen, and why oh why did Taith have to promise this, and then leave? It wasn’t fair!

Closing her hand around the ring, then keeping her eyes focused on the while lines forming where she was gripping the ring too tightly, Kail suddenly found herself imagining what the future would be like. It could be wonderful, to have her work, her life here, and her life with Taith. Her worries did seem less, somehow. Like she could almost believe that all of this was going to happen.
