The Annual Pumpkin Festival Fall had entered the White Isle once again. The needles on the trees changed to a deep crimson red, signaling the start of Fall officially for all of those on the Isle. This was a reminder that the all-important Pumpkin Festival was to be held shortly. The Konti had a generous harvest this season, more so than most seasons. And as such there was indeed much to be thankful for; an elaborate Pumpkin Festival was sure to be held. It was clear that the gods had granted and gifted them with this bountiful harvest. This was a harvest they needed to have in order to survive another winter on the Isle. Even though the winter wasn’t nearly as harsh as other places it was still not to be underestimated; nor underprepared for. And the Konti would surely not be underprepared for this upcoming winter. Not with the harvest the Gods had graced them with. Like clockwork a few pumpkins started showing up, maybe a few carved pumpkins here and there along with some hints of these orange vegetables in paintings and the like. The introduction started slowly at first but it was obvious that here shortly the festival would indeed be in full swing. And the eyes of the Gods turned to this most beautiful city. In honor of Laviku some dressed in wonderful colors of sapphire, turquoise, azurite and indigo. Also in honor of the sea the Konti tied colorful and sometimes ornate ribbons on the bows of their swan boats. But above all they wore their scales proudly; honoring the fact that part of them would always belong to the sea. In honor of Avalis young and old alike focused their extraordinary sixth sense for many uses. Many used it to help coordinate and decorate the city in wondrous and extraordinary colors and artwork. With relative ease and speed all kinds of elaborate artwork and decorations were hung all around the city; making a beautiful city breathtaking. This brought all of the Isle closer together. Rak’keli was praised most of all by the Opal Order. But instead of being praised in a more open fashion the healers took to doing her tasks. Healers studied reverently, classifying herbs and such from the nearly boundless harvest. They worked nearly countless hours studying and trying to cure the world of disease. Every mind full of medicines and knowledge. They focused on easing pain and suffering; sharing their nearly endless knowledge almost openly with those that could use it. They honored their goddess by working diligently. The many faces of the now appearing pumpkins warned off bad luck and negativity; reminding any and all that these things needed to stay away from the festivities. Numerous events were planned for the festivals. Shops had decorated and craftsman had spent extra hours crafting their elaborate crafts; to honor any that had gifted them with their abilities. Many specialists also offer classes at a reduced cost in honor of the festival and the god that gifted them with their skills. Special sightseeing tours were being conducted starting at the harbor and it was rumored if one wondered outside the city walls they may find a god wondering the earth. Or maybe an incarnation moving through the realm. ***Please Note*** I will be spawning threads from this thread. Meaning post an entry post here to take part in the pumpkin festival and I will create a thread for you. Let me know who you want to be involved in your thread, or if you want it open. Also let me know if you want it to be moderated by me or not. Also when I create your thread I will need to know when you want it to take place. Anytime this season works.
