It was a rather sunny day when Fraha left her room to go outside the walls. Her intention was to visit the springs and, given they were empty bathe there. She was wearing her black sandals, lightly covered by her dark loose pants. A shoulderbag carrying soap, towel and razor was still on her left hip held by the right shoulder. The upper body, the space between the bag cloth and her skin was covered by a black top, one of the sleeves was torn away while on the right side the sleeve reached few inches lower her shoulder. The top was belly short and left the air to caress her waist. It still was pretty hot that day, luckily her old brown headband was absorbing the sweat of her forehead above keeping her hair still at the sides.

She walked past the gates, ignoring the knights she didn't really trust from some time. Once out, she inhaled the air to spread her lungs as much as possible. She checked once more if the Wakizashi's were still with her. Two fine blades, placed in a special holder tied still on her hips, hanging behind her leaving the hilts visible. It was very handy to have them back there, they were firm and didn't bother Fraha much. Really really good thought she once more before lifting the arms high to stretch. It was satisfaiting to do it in front of guards on duty, a little revenge Fraha took with a smirk. A quick bend to right and to the left and she was ready to go. It would be good having some company, perhaps someone she could listen or help, that's how she felt despite her action which wasn't really coherent with the thoughts. the problem was that the tavern was boring...the city was getting boring. No worries she would have time to think...again...

Wild run [Markus]

Postby Markus Andres on October 3rd, 2011, 12:31 am

It was a grand day as lady Syna had blessed Syliras with a bright and sunny day. A six foot plus some squire was making his way through the fortress-city. A green-tinted scabbard covered the squire bastard sword that was strapped to his back. The hilt of the blade clearly visible over his right shoulder. Strapped under his left arm was a much smaller blade, a dagger he had borrowed from the knights. The bastard sword was there to intimidate any attackers. The dagger was there to fend them off until he had his sword free. In his right hand, a shiny red apple was idly being thrown into the air and caught again.

His tunic was dark green and did little to cover the impressive physique of the Syliran squire. His muscular body filling the tunic with ease. That same body was his goal that day. To maintain his strength for the day the knights would call upon him. So it was with determination he appeared at the front gates. A nod of respect to the guards stationed there, but as he nodded he noticed that they hardly seemed to notice him. He followed their gaze and could easily understand what had them distracted. He tried to hide his juvenile smile, for he too was distracted by the radically different physique being flaunted before him. But soon the girl continued and Markus snapped out of his involuntary trance.

"Good day, sers." Markus said respectfully to the guards before continuing. For there was a certain lady that had pique his interest more than a good run ever could have. He would walk fast until he caught up the attractive lady and was walking on her left side.

"I bet I know what will be on their minds for the rest of the day." Markus said with a grin and mentally added a and mine. Not your average way to start a conversation, but Markus was hardly your average human being. He subconsciously flicked the apple a couple of inches into the air before catching it again.

Every step that would get her farther from the fortress city would also drag her into her own thoughts. The knights were already out of her mind an her brain was focusing on other stuff. Different things were to be done along with walking to the springs. Where would she go next? By next she meant not after the spring though, "next" was her future in general. She had considered different things like settling down, finding a job she liked and stuff like that. Yet she couldn't there was so much to do. Find Ethan was one of those and it surely wouldn't be easy. Then there was this thing about the two criminals from Sunberth. Oh not to speak about her will to see more of these lands she walked on. And then there was..

Suddenly a voice near her spoke. It came from nowhere to her, she didn't notice the footsteps getting closer. As the first words came to her ear she turned the head to see a tall, muscular man smilling. He was higher than she was and surely wider, much wider. Assuming it like a treath that man would see her eyes wide spread and the eyebrows raised as she leaped backwards before even he could end the sentence. It was surprising she didn't even gasp or scream from such "invasion" of her personal sphere. For an instant she stood still to understand the situation then a giggle, quick yet acute was preceded before she spoke "Sorry!" she said while glancing at the bright headed man. "But you shouldn't sneak at people like that, some of them might not being expecting it" added she while pulling her shirt back on it's place.

However Fraha heard what the man said entirely, yet Fraha wasn't able to catch what he really meant, such a thing wasn't even in Fraha's head. So she replied "Yeah they will be dreaming about having a walk wherever they want all the day, or at least untill the end of their switch" Said she while emulating the man's same grin.

Wild run [Markus]

Postby Markus Andres on October 3rd, 2011, 11:28 pm

The mischiveous side of Markus almost laughed out loud when he saw her leap back and away from him. There was always something delightful about scaring people like that. A small chuckle escaped his lips when he was done with his introductionary remark. He held up his hands to show her he was not sporting any weapon in his hands, aside the always deadly apple. To show her he was not there to assault her. But judging from the weapons at her side, Markus couldn't be careless either. So his left hand was quite close to the hilt of his dagger. Just in case she decided to draw her weapons. Despite his readiness, Markus showed no hostility and any auristic user looking at him would see a calm and amicable aura.

”My apologies, but where is the fun in sneaking up on people, who expects it?” He said and blinked. An honest smile on his lips. He was quite surprised that he had managed to sneak up on her, she must have been in deep thoughts. But for Markus the playful banter suddenly turned less playful, for something about what the lady said overstepped an invisible boundary in Markus’ head. He couldn’t put his finger on it, but it had sounded like the lady spoke ill of the knights. Something he, as a squire, couldn’t tolerate unless justified. He gave it a couple of seconds thought. A part of him just wanted to drop it altogether and let the cryptic and possible offensive remark slide by, but a larger part of him was very interested in what she thought. More importantly. Figure out why she thought that way.

”Doesn’t sound like you think highly of the knights?” He halfway stated and halfway asked her. He was quite curious as to why any honest person would consider the knights a bad thing. They gave up their lives to protect the citizens from being eaten alive by the wickedness that lived beyond the civilized cities.

After a second of thinking Fraha realized, with a shy smile, what the man said. "Well, yeah there is no fun, you are correct." How did he manage to sneak up like that? Was she too away inside her mind to notice? That could be dangerous if she were to do the same in a less safe place. However, she continued her walk, looking at the man to invite him to follow her.

Then a question came out from his mouth. The words froze Fraha a couple of steps in front of him. Thinking highly of the knight, after what they did to her? A shadow of shame and disgust went visible on Fraha's face, but the man couldn't see it for Fraha was in front of him, giving her back to him. A second to swallow the memory and a sigh before Fraha spoke. "No, I don't, not all are honorable as people say" Suddenly she realized what the guy behind her wanted to tell when he spoke first. No wonder there had to be such a meaning. Fraha felt invaded again for that *pigs..* thought she quickly. Forcing a smile she turned back to the man "Why? do you like them?". She could know the answer would be yes, of course he didn't, most likely, had the same experiences she had with the knights...

Thinking about it was making her angry, she joined the hands behind her to tighten a fist without being noticed.

Wild run [Markus]

Markus was taken back by he honest truth in the girl's words. The naked honesty she threw at him. Some anger flashes across his face. They risked their lives for her and she disliked them for not being perfect human beings. It was true that the individual knights had flaws. At least some squires weren't a beacon of humanity's best. His friend Richard immediately came to mind. But there was something unnerving about someone saying that. Was that how the citizens thought about the knights. Or were she just a bad apple in the bunch?

"I certainly ought to, since I plan on joining them one day." Markus said honestly. "Markus Andres, Squire to Stern Mason" He added, introducing himself. His right hand reaching out to offer a handshake. The apple swiftly being tossed to his off hand. Given her apparent discontent with the knights, Markus wouldn't take it overly personal if she rejected his handshake. But he would look quite irritated.

"What makes us so dishonorable to you?" He asked quietly. Wondering what had happened to her at the hands of some knights.
