“A shipwreck and a undelivered package…Sounds like my kind of job.”

Erik grinned, even if he was a ghost Lachan was a Svefra and needed help. So he would complete this final task for him. Yet first there was another matter to attend to. He turned towards Aldwin, a sheepish smile creeping out across his face.

“How do you feel about making a detour? Long enough to pick up his crate. No longer.”

The only reason he could find to not help Lachan was if Auldwin truly needed to be at Black Rock right away. This voyage was to take him there and it wasn’t polite for Erik to drop his current task in favor of another, not to mention he’d probably make a certain svefra captain mad if he up and disappeared on the hunt for a mysterious crate.

The fellow Ghost couldn't help but comment to himself about the wasted time that would become of the effort spent in looking for this dead man's crate. Probably selfish of the once man to think, but when you were a Ghost most priories went toward yourself. It was difficult to connect with anyone, or anything when you didn't even exist in the same manner anymore. Everything seemed so far away, so distant. It was all Auldwin could do was surround himself with people on occasion to get away from the smothering affliction of self loathing from what he had become. At least when he could view the rest of the world up close, he felt more like being a part of it.

That, of course, was until this dead Svefra spoke of sea going knowledge and short cuts. Arrive at their destination with days to spare? Now that was something that got his attention. The reigning in of his willingness was nearly palpable, his body turning more aptly to face the center of the conversation the Ghost was having with Erik and he. "Days to spare, you say..." It was strange how even with all the time in the world, Auldwin still put all things to a schedule. It wasn't like he was getting any older, but the thought of days wasted just seemed less than efficient. Perhaps it was all those days as a laborer when he was alive. Time was money, and the sooner you got your task finished the sooner you could break and head home.

"Hmm...sure. This seems like a good opportunity to learn more about the waterways. If there's a quicker way of getting to Black Rock, I certainly would like to know it. It's always in everyone's best interests to give a Ghost the chance to pass on." he commented, crossing one palm over his elbow as he tucked his opposite hand underneath his armpit, or at least he appeared to. Such ironic words were never spoken, especially coming from one whom found himself in the same position, unable to pass on to the next step in the cycle.

A New Voyage, Ghosts and Sailors (Auldwin)

There was a sort of bridled hope in the dead sailor's eyes when he heard Erik agreeing, which quickly was let loose when he heard Auldwin give way as well.

"Fantastic!" Lachan nearly shouted, a fierce grin on his face. "I'm not used to be trustin' non-Svefra" -here he glanced at Auldwin, his statement ironic given he knew the man by a false name- "but both of you seem trustworthy. I can lead you to mah ship now..."

Lachan seemed anxious to be off. His form flickered, than disappeared completely, only to reappear several meters to the north of where he had once stood. He was in the exact same position, even though only air touched his feet. He gestured for the ship to follow, and blinked once again, now even farther away from the ship.

Clearly, he meant for Erik and Auldwin to follow him to his ship. Given the way he moved and the speed at which he did it, he wouldn't be waiting for long, either...
