Cherie sighed, she held up the beautiful bow and started describing how she was introduced to archery.
“My father and mother were really good at archery. My dad could hit a target right bang in the middle from 100ft. And my mother 80ft.”
Cherie traced her finger around the bow's engraved patterns.
“This bow is my father's, as well as other various weapons. When they died my Aunty took me and of course she was great at archery too. She was the one who taught me the basics, and she gave me my dad's bow. I'm learning to hunt now, I'm not so great but I always manage to get something.”
Cherie seemed sadder after revealing her story she reached up to pick up the single tear that dropped onto her cheek. She held her emotions in and when she came back to normal, she took the last bite of the apple. She held the core in her bare hand and waited to see what Txurstum had to say.
