Timestamp: Day 5 of Winter

Location: The Edge of the World

Txurtsum felt the cold snow beneath his feet as be walked throughout Wind Reach. It had snowed just the day before, and Txurtsum had a feeling it was going to be a bad winter. "Its only the fifth day of winter and we already got a storm," he thought to himself. As he made his way towards the Egde, he suddenly grew sadder. The Edge was the last place he saw his father, and today was the day that he always went there. When he made it, it was abnormally quite. He moved towards the wall and stood there. As some of his better memory's of his father came to him he stood there, looking at the spot he waited for his father to return, just 4 years ago. He moved towards the spot, it was a stone seat and it was not changed throughout the years. He sat in it, holding on to his emotions.

He glanced around and checked to see if anybody was around. Nope. He stood and leaned against a stone wall, and starred off into the distance. In his mind he thought "This will be my last winter here, I think." Ever since he was young he wanted to go see other city's, yet the opportunity hasn't arisen. He does not wish to go alone and has waited for a group of travelers to tag along with, yet none seem available. A silence set over the edge, one he had never been presented with. It was only for a few brief seconds till the sound started again, with an eagle fly over head and it seemed to trigger all the sounds from the city at once, but he liked it. It seemed as if time itself had stopped, and it made Txurstum smile.

The wind eagle that flew overhead was, in fact, Sira returning from a failed hunt. Aidara, her endal, was busy treating frostbite victims in the infirmary, and Sira had been bored. With the early snow she knew Wind Reach would need every available hunter out there gathering food and Sira wasn't going to sit and do nothing, despite being told to refrain from shifting because it could induce labor early. Sira didn't care though, she was ready to have the blasted thing out of her anyway. It was all for nothing though, because it seemed all the game was still in hiding from the storm, and Sira had very little success that day.

When she flew over the edge of the world Sira spotted the lone Inarta and, probably again because she was just bored, decided to come down for a talk. The wind eagle that was Sira banked in the air and came back around, heading for the edge of the Edge, and in a cloud of snow she came to land nearby. Another cloud went up, though instead of snow it was one of sparkly rainbow colored smoke, and where there had been a wind eagle before there was now a naked, shivering, pregnant redhead who was swollen almost to bursting with the baby in her belly. Sira appeared on her hands and knees, but stood as soon as the smoke and snow settled and turned toward Txurstum and held out a hand, offering him a pleading pouty look.

"Can I borrow your katinu, its a little chilly out here."

Sira did not expect to be denied. She was an endal, afterall, and even if Txurstum didn't know her by her reputation, the fact that she had just been a wind eagle mere seconds ago was usually enough to convince people to do as she asked. Plus, she was pregnant, and nobody wanted a cold angry pregnant lady after them. But Sira was usually recognized, being the only known wind eagle kelvic in all of Wind Reach. As she waited for Txurstum to hand over his cloak, purposely allowing herself to visibly shiver to speed him up, Sira decided to make a bit of small talk.

"So, what are you doing out here all alone anyway? It's freezing, and the storm could pick up again at any time."

One might ask Sira the same time, since she was out hunting in the cold by herself without her rider, and now standing naked in the cold. One might also have asked why she didn't just remain an eagle, all warm and toasty beneath her layers of feather, but that was more a matter of pride than anything else. Sira didn't just talk to anyone in her eagle form. Linking minds was an intimate thing, and something she only shared with those she knew to be worthy.

Cherie wasn't visible to the person and eagle, who changed into a human. In fact, she probably wasn't visible to anyone. Her light clothes fit in well with her surroundings, the snow from yesterdays storm, only her fiery red hair would show her if only it wasn't under her hood. The eagle turned into a pregnant nude lady. "Someone should get her a doctor." Cherie muttered under her breath hoping no one would hear her.

Cherie was out hunting, enjoying the wild and practicing her archery skills which her aunt had taught her. With no one else to live she moved in with her aunt at a young age. She enjoyed living there and her aunt treated her like her very own daughter. The Kelvic moved towards the man who was giving her a coat. Cherie would never want to be that woman, cold and pregnant.

She got bored at looking and decided to walk towards them. She stood up making a small noise to not scare the beings. She took slow steps out of the trees and onto the Edge. She looked at both of them to see their reaction, hopefully not fear.
She stepped into view and smiled at them, "Hello."

After a minute he saw the eagle from before overhead turning towards him. When it landed, noticed it had turned into a person. Txurstum saw who she was and recognized her as a Endal, though never met personally. He stood up. After her request for his cloak, he took it off and handed it over.

"Yes its quite chilly out. Here you go."

When she asked him the question he pondered for a minute. He had never told anybody, yet for some reason most people knew. Then again he was the only one who had been in his family who wasn't the most 'social'. He did not get why they said that, for he loved conversing with others, but he had no time for his work would not allow it.

"Well, today is the day my father died, and since that day I have come here on the 5th of winter to remember. As for the storm, I love the winter. It is my favorite season. And might i ask you the same?"

At the end of the question Txurstum noticed another Inarta walking out from under the trees. He had not seen her before, or at least he could not remember seeing her before.

"Hello. Might I ask your name? For I have not seen you around."

Cherie smiled sweetly, "It's Cherie." She laughed, "Yeah sorry, I was out hunting when I saw you here. I didn't want to disturb you so I just crouched down for a while." She brushed a piece of loose hair behind her ear. She turned to the Kelvic, "Hi." She smiled half-heartily. Cherie turned back to the other Inarta, I heard about your father, "I'm really sorry. I better get going." She turned towards the trees, then quickly turned back. "Or I could wait and walk back with you?"

Txurstum gave a warm laugh, and replied,

"No, its ok. We were just talking. Nice to meet you Cherie, I'm Txurstum."

The question startled Txurstum slightly, and he quickly adverted his gaze in realization he was staring. The wind blew and he shivered as the cold wind hit him. He looked back at Cherie.

"Yea, I'd like to walk back together, if that's alright."

The wind blew again, and he was starting to regret giving his coat to the Kelvic. He knew it was right, though, because she was a Endal and him a mere Chiet, that he had handed it over. He grew to the conclusion that he should not stay out in the cold for much longer, for he would freeze if he did.

"Yeah it's fine," Cherie smiled warmly. "You look cold?"Cherie moved closer. She put the arrows ,she was holding, back in her dad's quiver. She saw the other lady and asked her, "What's your name?" Cherie didn't wait for a reply, "Let's, maybe get closer to the trees where there is less wind." She started walking backwards towards the trees.

"Yea, its a bit cold out."

For some reason he felt his words were a bit emotionless. Quickly, Txurstum looked towards the trees.

"Yes, at least there would be less wind."

He followed Cherie towards the trees, and checked to see if there was anybody else around. His stomach growled slightly from hunger and he checked to make sure Cherie hadn't heard. He pondered for a minute as they drew closer to the forest. At seeing her put an arrow away, he suddenly wished to go practice his archery himself. It had been a few days due to the fact he had been to busy.

"Do you do Archery?" Cherie asked when she saw him eye her bow and quiver. Cherie, quickly took out an apple and bit it, between bites she asked him, "Are you good at it?" She smiled again. She bent down to tighten her boots.

(OOC: I feel that Cherie is smiling a lot. :) )

"Yes, I do archery, for a few years now."
Txurstum replied, and returned Cherie's smile. Watching her eat the apple only made his hunger worse, but he refused to let it get to the better half of him. He gave a laugh,
"One might say that I am good, but I'm not the greatest."
He walked up against a tree, and leaned on it, facing Cherie. His legs were tired, but he did not want to sit down. Finally his hunger got him, and he pulled out some dried meat, and ate it slowly. He was trying to ration his food out to have enough for winter, but it was harder than he thought. He decided he was going to hunt within the next few days.
"And what about you, are you any good? And you said you hunt?"
