Headquarters to Izurdin's Hammer and the entry point into and out of Sultros City, Sultros Citadel is the farthest most outsiders will ever travel into the Isurian Kingdom. Heavily fortified and intimidating to view, the Citadel is the mirror of Isur strength, endurance and patience.

Isur Housing Quarter

The Citadel Housing Quarter is located a short distance from the courtyard. An open archway allows entry into a central hall. The archway is guarded at all times by a pair of Hammers. The Housing Quarter is a large, two story structure filled with several small to moderate-sized housing units and quarters for those isur who live and work in the citadel. It is called the Quarter because the building takes up roughly one quarter of the citadel.

The central hall is a large chamber with pillars supporting the upper floor. In the center of the hall is large fountain; its centerpiece a statue of Izurdin, his arms crossed and his face baring a slight smile. Several globes of dim, magical light provide illumination to the hall while corridors branching off in all directions offer access to various housing units. A winding set of stone stairs built just behind the fountain, winds upward to the second floor where the design is similar to the ground floor.

The ground floor of the Quarter contains smaller housing units that are the equivalent of a Simple Cottage with the addition of a Simple Bath. The ground floor contains the most housing units and is where the majority of the citadel's isur live. The second floor contains larger housing units that are the equivalent of an Elaborate Cottage with the addition of an Elaborate Bath and a balcony looking out over the rest of the citadel. The more established tradesman of the citadel make there homes here as do the immediate families of Izurdin's Hammer members. Such families are few as most Hammer's are single; their parents and siblings living in the city below.

As a general rule, outsiders are forbidden from entering the Quarter unless accompanied by resident isur. Potential residents may purchase a housing unit from the Quarter Administrator who maintains a small office just off the central hall. Furnishings, outside of what is included with the purchase of a unit, may be acquired through the Administrator who maintains contacts with various crafters who can supply such items.
