1st of winter 511 AV Night Danck had carefully been observing the home he was about to break into for a few chimes, trying to find way's into the house without alerting the people who where living in it and most importantly way's to get the hell out of there when things went wrong and he had to make a quick escape. He didn't think he would need it though, as far as he had seen there where only two people living in the house, they didn't seem to be rich enough to afford any kind of decent security and sure they didn't seem to have many valuables in their house, but he wasn't after what most people thought was valuable right now anyway, just a set of warm clothes for the biting cold that was soon to roll into town and anything else that wasn't nailed down and could be sold for a few miza's with the fence. After checking if the coast was clear he quickly slipped out of his hiding place and made his way towards the house as stealthily as possible routinely checking if anybody who cared noticed and was about to do something about it. Luckely for him he made it towards the house without any trouble and began mentally checking the information he had gathered during those hourse before. There where two windows in the one room house, though the one on the side of the sun was placed right above the bed, while the other one didn't have anything underneath it as far as he had seen in the one room home. When he arrived beneath the window that wasn't located near the bed he dug in the small bag of thieves tools he had hanging on the sturdy rope he was using for a belt and fished out his theives tools as he took a look at the lock that was keeping the window shut. It didn't really look that difficult, still he hadn't picked a lock in quite some time so he never had been that good at the job. He carefully inserted the pick in the lock and began feeling around, slowly turning the cylinder of the lock a bit as he tried to shove the bits of metal that kept the cylinder from fully turning, grumbeling a few silent words under his breath as the damn lock just didn't go along with him. Forcing him to move his head closer to the thing so he could better hear what the hell he was doing with the metal pins in the lock. |
