Jerro found himself chuckling a bit. "There is one bit of good news. She probably isn't as interesting a prospect as she seems. Her vision allowed her to foretell the weather. She could see up to five days what the weather would be like, although I'm not sure on the range. Perfect for a farmer like me when I was still alive, not so perfect for... well, anyone else really." He quickly frowned and thought about what he had just said. "Of course, that is an easy detail to omit, or lie about."

If they had purchased Irae for her talent, then upon finding out her talent was not as useful as originally thought, then they just might try to sell again, to bring there money back. That is unless they... no. He wouldn't allow himself to think of that alternative. "I'm hoping that they realized that her gift isn't what they thought it was, and tried to resell her." He said, making his thoughts know. "If not, she could be just about anywhere by now. Still, a Konti is sure to make a stir in the market, and I'm hoping someone will know something."

He nodded to Flynn and stood up. "Thank you for all your help. I have to get going now though, I might be able to find something, but I don't think I'll be able to here. Thank you for all your help. I hope we're able to meet again under better circumstances. Good luck in your search, I hope you have better luck than I." He turned away and began to walk towards the door.

Well, this was getting better and better. Weather foretelling? Just about as useful as a Konti could get. Well, whatever, Flynn thought, it was just a matter of perusing my curiosity. Jerro still hadn’t told her of Irae’s second gift, the one Mura residents got from drinking the Vision Water, unless she wasn’t born in Mura at all. She tapped her long fingers on the counter top. Well, it was going to be midnight soon and the shiftier lot of Sunberth were starting to filter in. She might as well wait as long as she was here, but other than a few exaggerated tales that often ran through a drunken man’s mouth and the conversations too quiet to be heard, the more illegal kind that occupied Sunberth were the strictly business type.

Still seated in her chair, she called out, “Are you going to the Slave’s Market? Would you mind it if I accompany you?”

Jerro paused in mid stride. He turned to Flynn curiously and called back, "I was planning to, yeah. Your more than welcome to come along, but I thought you said the person you were looking for detested the slave market. Come to think of it, you also said he probably wouldn't be in Sunberth at all." This caused him to pause for a second longer. If her mystery person wasn't in Sunberth, why was she here? There would be plenty of time to figure that out though, on the way to the slave market.

"You've been so much of a help to me, I might be able to help you back. Who did you say you were looking for?"

It wouldn‘t hurt to tell him, Flynn thought, though she also thought that she really hadn’t help the man much at all. “I’m looking for Wes, the merchant. He frequently travels by ship or caravan. I don’t think anyone will remember his nondescript face much, especially as he has a habit of blending in, saying it’s quaint and all other nonsense. Makes one really wonder what kind of past he had. So I’m on a blind search, asking around the stalls or such if they’ve bought their wares from a man named Wes.” She stood up from the stool and projected her Soulmist to push both their chairs in and strode towards Jerro. “And I’m in Sunberth because, well, it’s quite dangerous and exotic and all that. Not much other reason except traveling, never been here when I was alive. Quite interesting as well. One doesn’t have to look much for adventure,” she stopped when she reached him, “The Slave Markets aren’t very far. Would you like to go at a slow pace, or as fast as possible?”

Every fiber of Jerro's being was telling him to go as fast as possible. Still, blinking, as he was told it was called, would be too noticeable and he still didn't feel comfortable floating. If he were to remain unnoticed, then he would have to go slowly. "I suppose that a slow pace would be the best option." He turned again and walked out of the tavern, pushing the door and holding it open for Flynn. If he had ever been told that he would have to concentrate so much on as simple a task as holding a door open, he'd have laughed at the idea and sent whoever said it to a healer. While he could still do simple tasks, it required a lot of concentration and there was no way he could do it with any skill as when he was alive.

He continued to speak as he held the door open. "I'm sorry, but I haven't heard of this Wes. I'll be sure to keep an ear out for the name, though, just in case I do come across it."

Flynn nodded, “Yes, but please don’t trouble yourself.” She was sure she’d find Wes someday, as he was the type of man to live to a ripe old age, merrily telling his grandchildren of his adventures. She walked past the door quickly, seeing it was straining Jerro. “Are you sure you don’t want to-- ah, nevermind.” She was sure the man had his reasons. Eyes scanning the area, Flynn recalled her mental map of Sunberth, and directed Jerro, “Come this way.” Unfocusing her eyes until she could see the hazy strings of djed, she concentrated on reading the lines and shifted through useless information... Hm, there are no signs of the Konti... But she could be wrong, perhaps scanning some of the webs too quickly. Flynn was glad she could use world magic as a ghost, even though she was barely trained in Webbing. Huffing a loud breath, there was a distinct lack of white clouds formed from her breath, even as it was freezing in Sunberth.

Following Flynn, Jerro looked around, keeping an eye out in case he saw something suspicious. He doubted he would see Irae just walking along the street, but there might be something that could give him a clue somehow. If only he knew what he was looking for.

He looked over at Flynn when he heard her "breath" loudly. Curious as to why she made the noise, he quickly scanned her for something that seemed wrong. She was still materialized finely, and she didn't seem to be in any obvious pain. Of course, he could only see her from the back. He decided to hazard a question. "Are you okay?"

Flynn turned around, startled, shoulders hunched up in protection. She mentally berated herself and settled back into her normal relaxed posture. Should she tell him? No, she could be wrong. But it would be best to tell him, in case he got suspicious she was hiding something from him, “No, nothing. Just tapping into Webs, trying to find your Konti.” She laughed a bit tiredly, “It’s a bit weird to use my Webbing magics as a ghost. Personally, I feel a bit more vulnerable. Perhaps without a body, I am more exposed to all this djed? Either way, it’s quite unsettling.”

With this, they had arrived at the Slave’s Market in no time at all, rowdy and bustling with tents and stands set up haphazardly and slavers calling out their wares. Flynn could see the ocean and the ships along it, with slavers bargaining them, and bodyguards around the slavers. A man sat on a stage, auctioning out a Kelvic. Flynn hadn’t been around slave markets often, even though while dead she enjoyed her freedom to travel absolutely anywhere, so she drank the sights in.

“We’re here,” Flynn decided to declare with dramatic flair.

Jerro just nodded to Flynn's explanation. Magic in general went over his head, and his understanding of it didn't increase at all when he became a ghost. He figured any further explanation would hopelessly confuse him, so he just left well enough alone.

Finally, though, they made it to the slave market. He looked over it twice, the first time to see if he could find anyone resembling his wife, and the second time to actually examine the slave market. He couldn't help but feel slightly disgusted. These were people that they were buying and selling, yet they acted as if they were nothing more than produce, or at best animals.

He shook his head and began to move towards one of the tents. "Come on, the sooner we can get this over with the better."

As Jerro headed towards one of the tents, Flynn couldn’t help but to become a bit paranoid. Could ghosts be captured as slaves? It was an interesting thought, and as the announcers called out bidding prices for the slaves, Flynn looked around to find that there was none. At least none she could see.

She tapped a man in front of her on the shoulder, “Do you have any idea if there’s a Konti available? I’m in need of their divination services.”

The man only snarled at her and shuffled along quickly. He couldn’t shake off the feeling that there was something odd about Flynn, who sighed dismally.
