A quiet afternoon (Banir, Falix, Lunar)

Postby Falix on January 30th, 2012, 11:46 pm

She seemed to be spaced out not really paying any attention to what was going on, nor to the people around her. When it finally registered that the others were trying to get her attention she jumped a bit and looked around, her wide eyes curious. "Huh...I missed it, what did you say?" After Alea restated her question she twirled her hair, a sign of embarresment since she couldn't blush. "Well I'm from a place far from here, I don't rmember much as I only stayed with my family for a short time and that time wasn't really memorable. I've spent most of my 7 years adventuring and going around, travelling from place to place. It wasn't that long that I was in Avanthal that I met Banir. As fa as my adventures thats a tale for another time."

She smiled up at everyone, then her mind began to go off on a random train of thought. She looked at the ghost and the girl in front of her, then up at Banir. She idly traced her fingers along the metal claws that could easy rip her to shreads but she had no fear that Banir would hurt her, and she knew a place to hide if he went berserk. "What about you guys? have you guys done anything interesting?"

A quiet afternoon (Banir, Falix, Lunar)

Postby Lunar Scathefire on February 6th, 2012, 2:21 am

Lunars focus was more on the little clay girl named Falix rather than Banir, thoug he did take his hand away from the big guy as he turned sharply towards Lunar. He had remained quiet till she answered, recognizing the postures and the idleness as ignoring them, whether it be by accident to not it made Lunars mist twitch as if it were irritated. Despite the understanding smile hid his annoyed thoughts and his eyes seemed to cringe a bit. At least Banir had answered him, shortly and simply, but an answer nonetheless.

Politely he waited and even nodded his head to Aleas suggestion, listening even though he was a tad irritated. It was the right thing to do anyways, though he was curious to know more about Falix she directed the conversation back at them. After all it was only fair, right? Looking around lazily, Lunar thought about what to say, of course he knew what he was going to say already but it never hurt to think a bit more in depth "I haven't really done much besides look at maps and learn under my pa about them, I'd follow him around of course being his assistant with the map makin and what not" Lunar dryly stated, it was such a boring life, he knew that "what about big, tall, and silent here?" He joked, trying to be light and in his mood.

A quiet afternoon (Banir, Falix, Lunar)

Postby Alea Davenport on February 6th, 2012, 9:00 am

Alea's heart leapt into her throat in panic when Lunar asked about Banir. She didn't know much about Banir herself, but what she did know was that asking about his past, or his face, was a great way to endanger your life, and she'd learned that much at great cost to her piece of mind. Though, she liked to think she'd learned more than anyone else had, and she was in a mood to jealously guard that position.

Thinking fast, she said, "But Lunar, travelling doesn't sound boring at all! And Falix, you've traveled a lot too. I mean, this is my first time being anywhere outside Denval, and let me tell you, fifteen years in one place is plenty." She laughed nervously, hoping that the others wouldn't notice that she was deliberately distracting them from Banir. She wasn't entirely sure it worked, and she hoped Banir could think of something to say that might satisfy their curiosity.

A quiet afternoon (Banir, Falix, Lunar)

Postby Banir Ironwood on February 6th, 2012, 9:22 pm

A question, it was just a simple question but he shifted uncomfortably in his seat regardless. The wood of the bench creaking lightly under his weight. From under his dirty green, fur lined hood sweat rolled down. He hated how his chest cringed when he was asked a question. It was things similar to this that caused him to remain quite. In truth he loved meeting new people, especially when they are of different races. But this mattered little and he would have to speak to Lunar eventually. His gruff voice barking into the air as he scrapped together the quickest sentence he could.

"I, have done nothing, that grants importance." Short and simple, and at least a half truth. There wasn't much he really considered important though. Quickly his attention was divided between his Alea, Lunar, and making sure Falix wasn't accidentally crushed. This was probably the busiest conversation he had ever been in. Though he couldn't keep his deep ruby red eyes from glancing at Lunar. He hadn't encountered a being like him before. For starters he was abnormally pale, a slight mist was around him at all times, and occasionally he found it hard to see him. Finally he seemed to have features similar to Alea. With the exception of his pale skin, silvery white hair, and grey eyes. Beyond this he appeared to look human, no traits of Isur present, no animistic tenancies.

Before his brain could loop these thoughts he turned to Alea. She was making more noise than usual. When Alea made more noise he thought something might be wrong. Though when he turned the words over in his head, it was just her being herself. Or at least he thought it was. Banir knew a bit about Alea's personality, and frankly that was all he needed to know. At least he thought so, he knew enough to know if she was sad, happy, mad, or just, herself. And that was good enough for him.
"Where life leads me, is where I shall go. The greater question is, who is willing to accompany me on such a long travel?"

A quiet afternoon (Banir, Falix, Lunar)

Postby Falix on February 8th, 2012, 4:48 am

She looked around at the others in the group and fell slient for a short time as her mind wandered off to strange places. She looked up at Banir, unafraid that she could be crushed easily at eny moment, especially if the man was someone how promted into a rage. She let these thoughts drift through her mind as she hummed softly to herself. The group gathered before her seemed a rather odd misfit, a mix blood, a human and a ghost. She was unsure of how to continue this conversation seeing as how no one was really willing to go into details about themselves which frsutrated her.

Falix then jumped from Banir's hand and landed on his thigh and stood from that position before sitting down and looking down at the glistening snow between Banir's booted feet. Her eyebrows furrowed slightly as she thought, her thoughts going around in circles and becoming like an uruboros, going around until it had bitten it's own tail and it was hard to say where the thoughts had began and where they ended. She could feel the deisre to do something fun and exciting, because sitting here was beginning to quickly bore her, and with no one really talking it made things harder.

Finally a thought occured to her, she guessed that the ones gathered around her, at least Banir and Alea were probably freezing as they stood around in the cold. "Aren't you guys cold? Maybe we should go somewhere that would be warmer for you guys and ew could talk there in more comfort." She looked to Lunar and wondered what he would think of her suggestion since like her he woulnd't feel the bite of the bitter cold winter.

A quiet afternoon (Banir, Falix, Lunar)

Postby Lunar Scathefire on February 12th, 2012, 9:22 pm

He gave a humorous laugh, wanting to pat her on the head but knowing the rules he didn't. Lunar simply smiled at her "it does when all your dad does is lecture ya till your ears cry" he was serious on that but he made it sound as if it were funny. He kept to an aloof manner, looking around them in mild curiosity at any other occupants. Just to get the feel of who all was here besides the three, it didn't hurt to do that and it ass quite amusing sometimes what people would do, or were doing.

Turning his head to give Falixs question some attention, he shrugged "never get cold really," then a thought struck him. Tugging at some of Aleas winter garb lightly and teasingly "though Miss Easily-Affected-By-The-Cold might want to be inside somewheres warm" of course he didn't mean to offend, he was cheery as he said it. Lunar wasn't completely sure about Banir though, he seemed to have warm winter wear but then again he could be shivering with his teeth chattering under that silly hood of his. Lunar dismissed that idea, he couldn't tell even if he tried.

A torch lit in his mind, he made a fist and made a small pat in his other hand as if getting ready to do rock, paper, scissors. Grinning broadly, Alea had shown him where she lived (though the animals were annoying) maybe he could show her, them, where he lived! It was only fair and maybe his new friends would show the inhabitants of their unjustful ways. Oh yes, he liked that thought a lot "hey!" He started in an excited voice "maybe I can show you guys where I live!" Giving a little jump, as if to put empathisis on the idea he would show them where he lived and then they could visit him.

A quiet afternoon (Banir, Falix, Lunar)

Postby Alea Davenport on February 14th, 2012, 9:00 pm

"That sounds like a great idea!" Alea said, a bit too eagerly. She tried to pretend the cold didn't get to her too much, but in reality she was constantly aware of it. She was glad she'd been able to get a job in a hold; she knew she'd have gone mad by now if she had to sleep in her tent at this temperature. She tugged at Banir's arm, eager to get inside where it was warm, and the group followed Lunar to the hold he stayed in.

The group settled themselves in a common area of the hold, but everybody seemed too shy to speak. Either that, or they'd run out of things to say. Alea looked around at her friends sitting awkwardly, and she knew she had to do something. She wracked her brains for some way to get all these seemingly shy people to open up, and then she had an idea.

"There's a game we play in Denval sometimes, I forget exactly how it goes, but I think it was something like this. Let's say for example that Banir goes first. Banir asks a question, something that he wants to know about everybody. Then, if Falix goes next, she has to answer that question, but then SHE gets to ask a question. On Lunar's turn, he gets to choose whether he wants to answer Banir's question or Falix's question (but he can answer both if he wants). Then we just take turns until we get bored. Does that sound like fun?"

OOCThere you go, my Mizahar-friendly turn-based version of Truth Or.... other...truth... Banir, feel free to start =)

A quiet afternoon (Banir, Falix, Lunar)

Postby Banir Ironwood on February 15th, 2012, 8:05 am

Rising from the bench as it gave a loud creak of relief. Quickly, and carefully he picked up Falix and set her back on his shoulder. Patiently waiting for her to get settled before marching off with the group. Walking through the cold wasn't so bad, his winter coat kept him more than comfortably warm. Though inside the heated embrace of the hold he was much more comfortable.

Banir had settled himself on the hardwood ground upon a skinned bear rug. Hunched over his legs crossed and head to the ground waiting for someone to break the silence. As expected Alea was the first to speak. And of course the first to suggest something that might lead him to be uncomfortable.

'Doesn't that sound like fun?'

It sounded about as much fun as being stabbed. Though he shouldn't criticize considering he had no better ideas himself. Or any ideas to begin with. Next he tried to think of a question, what in the name of the gods could he ask? And who to ask? After several moments he looked at up with his red blazed eyes. He had finally found a question to ask. Thinking Alea suggested for him to start he let his rough voice break past his scarf.

"Has anyone, ever seen, a Riamm? I once, heard a tale, about them once." That was all he said. Slowly in his own mind he began to remember the short story of small furry creatures that could be worn like hats.

A quiet afternoon (Banir, Falix, Lunar)

Postby Falix on February 21st, 2012, 7:04 am

She had gotten comfortable in her place on banir's shoulder. her idea of the question game made her uncomfrotable but mostly because she could feel banir tensing underneath her. She shook her head slightly and was suprised by Banir's rather easy question but then she thought why be suprised. "No I have never seen one but I've heard of them before." Now it was her turn to ask a question. She paused for a moment and stared into the fire in the main room of the hold that was keeping the place warm for all of the human creatures that needed warmth to survive. Her mind wandered back to what little training she had recieved from others as she tried to think of a question. Too many thoughts swirled around in her head and fianlly she had to shake her head hard to shake off the thoughts before she got dizzy from going around in circles.

With a start she realized that the group had been silent for a while and all of them were staring at her. she squirmed softly atop banir's shoulder and quickly thought up a harmless question. "Whats your favorite season?" It was simple and harmless enough and at the same time not letting anyone onto her train of thought. The only person who had a prayer of catching on to her chaotic thoughts was Banir but even then it was a long shot.

A quiet afternoon (Banir, Falix, Lunar)

Postby Lunar Scathefire on February 23rd, 2012, 2:50 am

Lunar trotted along, excitedly, and perhaps a tad too fast for them as he had to pause a few moments for them to catch up. Finally he brought them to the hold he 'formerly' stayed in, as in, he rarely came back here unless it was to check for his mother or sister. Trying a few of the residents about where they were, obviously not getting any replies he simply would walk around here, as if waiting for his mother and sister to walk in any moment. They of course hadn't, and it continued on like this for as long as Lunar could remember. This time, however, Lunar was here to socialize with his new friends! Grinning widely, his mouth seemed to reach ear to ear because of his glee, he was litterally bouncing along to plop onto a animal skin and invite them to sit.

Watching Alea, he nodded his head quickly. Clasping his hands he rubbed them together, crossing his legs and leaning fowards to listen eagerly. Looking to Banir, his question was certainly odd, what is a Riammm..? He thought to himself curiously, it sounded funny, what odd language was this man speaking in? Common, of course, but where did the word originate from.. Lunar had to think a moment before shrugging, it hardly mattered right now as Falix was replying to Banir. She certainly seems to be a ditzy one.. He observed, quite bluntly, he actually felt a little bad now that he had gotten annoyed with her and was glad he did not show it. Was she always like this? Bah, he would ask later!

Wiggling in his seat, her question was quite easy "Spring, cos everything starts new, and the land becomes.." he struggled with the word, he didn't really want to sound girly but whatever "very pretty." Grinning, finishing off his sentence with some reluctance towards the word. It was a word his little sister used alot.. If he remembered correctly, it also brought a pang in his chest. If you could call it pain? Just the thought of remembering times with his family made him wish they were here with him now, even his appearence seemed to slump for a moment before he shook it off. It was his turn now.

Showing off some teeth, Lunar didn't look at any particular person but he knew who it would be directed to "whats a riammm? and why you so ditzy Fally?" Okay, that was two questions, glancing at Alea he wondered if that was how the game could be played "were those too straight foward Alea?" Pausing, then laughing boyishly "oops, another question! Sorry.." He couldn't help it, those were just what was on his mind.
