77th of Winter, 511AV

She was so excited. She just saw a notice about The Winter Ball. She was afraid if it's going to be canceled or something, but that was just her own paranoia, the Ball was always in late winter. She actually never been to any, at least not officially, but she knew it was one of events she loved the most at Zeltiva. She actually have never been there because she had no idea what should she wear. And the same problem stood just before her again, provoking her to do something. And that something meant she must steal it. She reminded herself she could simply buy a dress, but she wasn't about to pay that much for a dress, or to pay anything for something she didn't like. And she had something in mind, anyways.

She threw a little stone she had in her hand back into water and jumped up. She remembered a dress, similar to formal clothes for school, one girl wore. She was pretty sure her mother was Laviku follower, so that made her stop in the middle of walk. What if Laviku gets angry at her? The one who dreamed to be a sailor shouldn't do anything to make Him angry. Of course, it would be a challenge, but that's too much, even for adventurer such as her. She decided she's not going to steal the dress, she will just borrow it. She will give it back after The Winter Ball, for sure. She convinced herself it was safe enough that way, but she still heard a irritating voice telling her that she's wrong, which was stored somewhere far away immediately.

She tried to remember how it looked like. It was red, and she was sure red doesn't suit her, but that was a reason more to try it. Blue was her color, maybe white, but she never imagined herself in red. The dress looked like school uniform, but it was decorated with white lace and it had weird neck, with a necklace-like part bonded to the rest of the dress, which reminded her of chains. It also had fatty around the waist. She couldn't imagine herself in it. Mostly because it was a long while since she wore something but this sailor suit.

She came to their house, and then a sudden thought appeared: Why wouldn't she just ask for a dress? But she reminded herself she was a dirty little kid who lived on street and who obviously wouldn't give it back if she haven't had this respect for Laviku. Trough a window she saw a woman baking something and singing. She took a fast sight at other windows and it seemed like the girl was missing. She was probably in school or Temple. Perfect! Where could they store clothes? Did girl had her own room? She should do some more research before rushing like this, but it was too late, she was excited about getting that dress and that was it. She entered the yard few houses from there and owners of the house seemed to be asleep. After she managed her way to their back yard trough some bushes, and she got scratched all over her hands. It appeared somebody seen her from street, but she already climbed a tree and jumped to the wall of the next yard. She was walking, balancing on the wall, acting like she had fun. She did that often when she was a kid, and she assumed she wasn't the only one, so she wasn't really much suspicious from the house, her age was pretty unclear from that distance. She hurried to the next yard, the final station.

Everything was quiet over there. She sighted. She was crazy to do this, it wasn't just about Laviku, even nor she was experienced in this, she couldn't be sure if she will be noticed. She didn't plan out anything, she just jumped in. So, she must hurry before woman's baking is finished. She took a look at windows at this side of building. It appeared like daughter had her own room, but she couldn't see if there was a wardrobe. Climbing all the way to the floor would be hard, but she will probably be noticed if she took one step into the house. But after a minute of analyzing her position she realized that climbing isn't hard - it was impossible. The way house was designed was impossible to climb, and she couldn't jump from any tree of wall, even with using Flux to do so, and she couldn't guarantee that she could open a window if she reached it. So, she had to bust in.

The door were unlocked, logically, it was back yard and the women was at home. She left her shoes outside, so she hoped she could safely take them back after this is done. She left the door open, trying not to make noise and stepped in. The floor was a little dusty and it tickled her feet. She took a fast sight at the hall. Stairs were on her right, and there were three rooms except it. She turned house around in her mind. The one farthest from stairs was the one she saw women in, the kitchen. That's good. She hoped there was no scratchy stair. She slowly stepped forward, concentrating to hear if cheerful singing stops and to see if she is about to make some noise. Sometimes she used to me clumsy, but usually only while carrying things, so she learned to be very careful. When she was on the floor she took a deep breath, relived a bit, and kept to the door which lead to girl's room if the window she saw was the window of her room. She opened it and opened a wardrobe which was by the window, so she wasn't able to see it from the outside. There wasn't much clothes in there, and it seemed that it was both woman's and girl's clothes. She easily found dress she was searching for, and proudly held it up tight.

"Are you home?!", she heard the yell from the ground floor. "You left the door open, honey."

She assumed women just checked backyard and concluded her daughter wasn't there. Next step was coming here to ask why did she open the door and why didn't she told her that she was home. As she guessed few moments later she heard footsteps on the stairs. She quickly locked the door of girl's room and opened a window. It wasn't so high, but yet it wasn't like she wanted to jump down. She was at ease when she jumped from the roofs, yet, this going trough window always seemed scary to her for some reason. But she knew she must not be caught. She heard knocking and that finally convinced her to jump. She took dress and put it in her shirt, afraid to get it torn somehow and lift herself down. She landed on feet and hands, and scratched even more. Great decoration for The Ball, indeed. She heard nervous shouts above her, but it wasn't her business anymore. She took her shoes and, ironically, concluded the fastest way out was trough house, again. She passed a hall quickly listening to mother grounding her poor daughter who was still out.

After she got out of the house she knew she must hide a dress somewhere, so she headed north, to find some natural hideout for it, or make it. Forest wasn't so unfamiliar to her, she used to hide there few times or search for things she needed. She didn't like to steal from Zeltivans too much, and there wasn't that much strangers in winter. She hid the dress safely and decided to sleep a bit. This was a interesting mission. And now she's able to go to The Winter Ball. Unless somebody recognizes the dress... Which, hopefully, won't happen.
