This northernmost city is the home of Morwen, The Goddess of Winter, and her followers who dwell year round in a land of frozen wonder. [Lore]

"The holds are like clan structures," he said, explicating with a faint scholarly air; he had made his anthropological studies of many of the races of people in Mizahar, and so he could speak to such. "They are largely family based, but there is horizontal transfer between them through marriage or talent and skill. Winterflame Hold is expert in culinary arts, which seems closest to beer brewing and even filtering. Iceglaze builds, Snowsong creates art. They all have their bailiwicks, though, of course, there is some overlap. They are not all one-trick ponies, the Vantha." He considered for a moment.

"You might try the Frozen Falls Market if you need goods."

His initial reaction upon being asked about the secrets of his creations, or the plans thereof, was to hide it and move away, but he was encrypting his work in glyphs and ciphers, the man's aura had little that bespoke any sort of magical abilities except -- hm, was that Fire potential there?, and even the clever mind of an Eypharian codebreaker would require some extended time and familiarity with his system to break it, and this was just a glance.

He held out the schematics, all glyphs and scribbled notes and pictures.

"Just something I'm working on for Morwen."

When Rhask took a look at the notes, all he could see was total mayhem and chaos. Lines everywhere, identifying any pattern at all seemed nearly hopeless.
Rhask thought he saw some lines shifting as he was looking, but couldn't be sure. This thing looked so complicated, he wasn't even going to try and understand it.
"Morwen? Must be really important then," Rhask said, "my apologies if i was interrupting anything." realizing his possible mistake.
"Thank you for the information. Is there anything i could help you with, since you were so kind already?" Rhask inquired, hoping there might be interesting experiences to be had even if it was in seeming regular things.

"I suppose you can make me a drink when you get that job," he said gamely; there was nothing he needed now and it wasn't right to take from those who had little. This Rhask seemed awfully humble for an Eypharian, which wasn't saying much, but still.

His smile was satisfied; the cipher on his notes had foiled the agile brain of an Eypharian. Score one for Hadrian Aelius, secret-keeper. Then he shrugged and stuffed his notes into his coat pocket.

"Did you have any other questions?" he asked. "New towns can be daunting."

"I think i know enough now, thank you for your assistance. Also, nice meeting you." Rhask said. "I hope this place sometimes isn't so utterly cold."
"May we meet again in good fortune, and may the desert winds blow into your sails." Rhask said, while making a polite as possible gesture.
I think i'll try one of the ales here next, Rhask thought, and then make my way to the hold, unless something interesting happens first.
I hope something interesting happens first, i always liked surprises. Surprises surrrprisess, flowering blossom dried off, seething the reason benigning the mule on a rock. Wait, what was that just now?

After a slight bit of confusion, Rhask got himself an ale and started looking for a table to sit on, seeing his previous table had been occupied while he had been talking.

"But of course," he said slowly, not sure about the Arumenic that followed. At least he was familiar enough with Nader-canoch to recognize the Arumenic and, of course, it helped that it came from an Eypharian, but the words themselves slipped away. It sounded from tone and context like a sort of benediction, so he smiled quietly, watching the many-armed man get himself another drink and looking around.

Hadrian wondered if he had somehow failed in the conversation department, but it had seemed to go along well enough. After a while, he looked down at his work again, mumbling, "Square root of negative one..." and "eight sum pi." This, of course, required an adjustment to his chart and the drawing on the previous page, so he was soon flipping back and forth through the pages, only occasionally glancing up to take in the Eypharian so far from home.
