30th of Winter 511AV
It was said today that V’nessi would be visiting the Opal Temple. None knew why but rumors were as of recent she had been troubled. Very troubled. She had called meetings of all the other Konti Matrons and none had seen her recently. Rumors on the Konti isle were unlike anywhere else…because they were almost always true. The talk was she had seen something horrible in her visions; she was after all the Champion of Avalis. But what could she have seen that would cause her such dismay? None knew, and those that did had sworn not to speak a word of it. It was a well guarded secret for now.
As usual V’nessi came to the temple alone as if driven by some reason others could not comprehend yet. Her reasons for now were her own. But that made them even more cryptic. Sometimes it was critical for the Matron to keep her thoughts and visions to herself. And other times it was quite the opposite. The Matron hardly ever revealed her reasons for doing things until it was absolutely needed. And for now, she was traveling the halls of the Temple…looking for something. None knew what. She just knew things, as intimidating as she wasn’t physically the gravity she carried with her was immeasurable.
V’nessi made her way unassumingly to the medical library where she walked the stacks still in search of something. A slight smile on her face as she spotted one of her Konti daughters. Every Konti was her daughter, every one of them a sister even though they had far different fathers. This was Konti life and mentality. Gently she walked over to the woman her footsteps silent as she watched the woman.
“My daughter,” She started her melodic voice calling to the Konti. “I have a task for you.” Her language was plain and straight speaking in her native Konti tongue.
