Lake Sultros Lake Sultros is a massive underground lake that surrounds one half of the entire city. It's maximum depth is unknown as the deepest part has yet to be mapped. The longest point from shore to shore is almost one mile and it is nearly half a mile across at its widest point. Their are a number of small islands scattered throughout and the water is so clean that it sometimes can cause a bit of vertigo due to the near perfect reflection seen in the water's surface. There are two large stone bridges that span the width of the lake and lead to the Northern and Western tunnels that connect Sultros City to other cities in the Kingdom. The lake is the primary source for the city's water and also contains a rather prosperous fishing industry that supplies food for much of the Kingdom. All manner of fish and shellfish are harvested from the lake. Isurian boats troll the waters of the lake engaging in fishing as well as recreational cruising. Near the shores, swimming is considered safe while in other, deeper areas, some diving is also undertaken although great care and caution must be exercised due to the threats posted by the Valteras. The lake shores are also the location of a number of docks and warehouses as well as centers for fish processing. Also, a number of small shipbuilding operations can be found on the shores as well.   Cave Fish Isurian Cave Fish - The Isurian Cave Fish is the most plentiful of the fish harvested from the lake due to their quick and often profound reproduction rate. They are a pinkish-white color and have no eyes. They are one of the primary sources of meat in the city and can be caught with simple baited hooks/poles or in some parts of the lake, with nets. They grow rather quickly and can reach lengths of around 3 feet and weigh between 10-15 pounds. They are not considered dangerous and feed mainly on tiny luminescent shrimp.   Valteras Isurian Valteras - Named for the Valterrian, the Valteras is on the opposite end of the spectrum from the Isurian Cave Fish. The Valteras is the most dangerous fish in the lake. It is normally found only in the deeper waters of the lake and have been seen at lengths of up to 15 feet and weighing several hundreds of pounds. Their massive maws are large enough to swallow an isur whole and their jagged, barbed teeth are sharp enough to penetrate isurian flesh. The Valteras has been known to attack small boats and feed on just about anything that comes near them.
