The Art of Seduction [Closed]

'That quickly huh?' Jase thought to himself. With her stubbornness, he would have given her another hour or so, but the sooner, the better he supposed. "Tell me anything and everything that you want," he stated calmly, not wanting to push her back into her little bubble.

OOC: Sorry if it's a tad bit short!

Lost in the Everwinter City [Open]

She leaned back, looking down and plucking absently at the thick cloak, thinking. After a moment, she looked back up. "I've been on my own a lot," She said carefully, cautious of what she said. "I don't usually stay anywhere for too long. I really just wander Taldera." Absently, she reached up to toy with her necklace, slipping her index finger through the ring. She didn't mention her mother, not wanting to relive that just yet.

"What about you?" She asked, changing the subject when she'd finished speaking, focusing her attention on the man sitting across from her, leaning forward slightly.

Lost in the Everwinter City [Open]

He clearly saw that she wasn't planning on saying much else other than the obvious and decided not to pursue that front any longer. She would open up in her own time.

When she asked about him, he wasn't happy, but he knew he would have to answer sooner or later. He figured that if he told her of his tale, maybe she would turn around and do the same. Of course he would spare the darker details, but other than that, he decided to go all out.

"Well, my father was a wealthy merchant. We lived in a luxurious apartment within the castle of Syliras. Although it was rather large and comfortable, my brothers and I used to spend a lot of time outside the city walls, always close enough so that we wouldn't get into any kind of trouble. Outside, the grass was always green, the flowers always beautiful and full of life, and there was a small lake a few leagues south where my father would take us fishing along with a a handful of guards to keep as all safe." He hadn't even realized he has mentioned his brothers and hoped that she wouldn't pick up on it. He wasn't sure if he wanted to bring up Turran or Arcturus at the moment. After a brief pause, he continued describing the Aldaine Apartments."I slept in a room with big windows and a soft featherbed with silk cushions. We never had to worry financially, unlike the majority of other people, we had servants and we're well respected by both the Syliras' Grandmaster and the sylirian knights. Although I sincerely doubt they remember us now. Now, I have enough coin to get by, but none of the luxuries I had back then." He didn't mention Moren Darkstone and wasn't planning on it, nor how his father's adviser had destroyed his family.

"All I have left to remember my father by is this." he unsheathed his bastard sword, careful not to let any of the other patrons or the barman see it. He showed her the blade and offered it to her. "It's truly a splendid weapon is it not?" He let her feel the balance, coming up close to her and whispering, "you can hold it if you like, it won't cut you. Just try not to let anyone else see it." he chuckled.

After a brief pause, he finished off by saying, "Well, that's enough about me. Tell me, have you had your first love yet?" He thought gloomily of Miranda once again. It seemed that in the past few days, he'd been thinking a good deal about her.

Lost in the Everwinter City [Open]

Her eyes darkened slightly as she listened to him talk, almost jealously. He'd had a life of luxury and comfort, while she'd travelled the bitter, winter lands of Taldera all her life, alone most of the time, if not always. Absently, she wondered what had changed his life, and if he'd done something to be cast out, but she didn't ask, knowing that was likely a sensitive topic for him, especially considering he hadn't mentionted it.

When he unsheathed his sword, she made a small sound of wonder, leaning in to look at it. She jumped slightly when his voice sounded low in her ear, glancing at him, embarrassed that she'd jerked, though she didn't blush. Taking the sword, she held it lightly, running her fingers along it's length and admiring the sheen of the carefully tempered metal before she handed it back. "It's truly a wonderful sword," She agreed, quietly.

When he'd finished talking, she debated about opening up more about her past, and opened her mouth to do so, but he spoke once more, and his question caught her off guard. She faltered, looking at him in surprise, and cleared her throat. "No, I haven't. I don't inspire many admirers," She said wryly. "Though I'm sure you do," She quirked a brow, smirking, as she drained her third cup of wine, setting it down once more.

Aldaine went to pour a fourth glass of red for the young gal, but to his dismay the bottle was empty. "It would seem that we've run out," he said shaking the empty glass bottle.

"A shame," he said non nonchalantly,"a beautiful young flower like you should be being chased after by all the young lads."

After considering it for long enough he decided to tell her the truth of his arrival in the snowy city, "I hate to sound blunt, but I like you Elvyra. You remind me of someone I used to be very intimate with. And, I'd ask you, if you'd like to accompany me throughout my travels across Taldera and where ever else my travels take me."

"I'll tell you what really brings me here, I'm looking for companions to raise a force strong enough to take back my family's estate and slay the man who murdered my father. Additionally, I will require assistance in finding my wife Miranda, if she's still alive. I need people like you with me so that I can exact my revenge." In that moment, he seemed more passionate than the whole evening they had spent.

He realized, that he had dropped this on her somewhat suddenly, and that a normal person would have thought things were directed towards the bedroom, but Jase had played this game long enough and didn't want to mislead the girl.Although the thought of a woman warming his beds sheets was surprisingly warming one. He just hoped that he hadn't dropped it too suddenly though.

He gave her a few minutes to process before continuing. "I'm not going to lie to you, I've barely enough coin to pay you for your help, but I promise you, that once my brothers and I have taken back what is rightfully ours, all the riches you can imagine will be yours. You don't have to decide right away, but once you've made your decision, you can find me at the Savintar Warrens."

He added on a forgetful note, "You can keep the cloak too until you've made your decision."

With that he offered his hand and looked deeply into her eyes, trying to convince her that his cause was just.

A pleasant buzz was filling her head, and her tongue was starting to feel heavy as the wine got to her. "What?" She frowned, and sighed heavily, peering at her empty cup in dismay.

At his words, she looked back up, quirking a brow, an easy smirk on her lips, the wine making her heedless. Her words were slightly slurred as she spoke, the alcohol working quickly on her. "I'd say it's something to do with my tongue. Some can find it awfully sharp, though you seem to be doing fine." She leaned forward slightly, resting her elbows on the table and her chin in her hand, peering up at him as he continued to talk. "And how intimate were you with this person?" Without waiting for a response, she tilted her head. "You know, you never told me your name. Didn't you say something about it costing me?"

However, he continued to talk before he replied, so she fell silent and listened intently. Taken aback by the sudden information, she straightened, watching him with narrowed eyes. "Well," She sighed after a moment, clearly drunk by this point, "I'll have to think about that. I suppose I'll come and find you when I make my mind up, either way," She said, doubtfully, still somewhat surprised at the blunt and sudden change of topic. She met his gaze, reaching forward to slip her hand into his, trying to keep the cloak closed around her with her free hand at the same time.

He thought of Miranda, and realized that she would have wanted him to be happy and not remain celibate for the rest of his life. He smiled yet again at the remark about his name. "My name is Jase, Jase Aldaine. Pleasure to finally make your acquaintance."

When she slid her hand into his, he brought her from his chair towards the door, making their way outside towards the Savintar Warrens. A one time thing couldn't be too bad...

"Maybe we can think about it together in more detail in my room at the inn I'm staying at," he offered.

"And yours, Jase," She smirked, standing. She was surprised when he kept her hand in his, but didn't comment on it, not bothering to keep the cloak closed around her bare body anymore. She followed him outside, stumbling slightly in her drunken state.

She raised a brow at his words. Even drunk, she had a feeling there was more behind his words than that, and a shy smile graced her features, softening them as for once, she seemed at a loss for words, embarrassed and shy. She hesitated, looking at him.

She could easily decline, give him his cloak, and she would never see him again. If she thought she would gain any longterm relationship with him from this, then she was dillusional, she knew that much. But despite that, she found herself nodding. "I'd like that," She said, tilting her head, following him as he lead the way.

Lost in the Everwinter City [Closed] Elvyra and Jase

He had heard about the Savintar Warrens from a passerby and knew the general direction it was in. He no longer needed to play the role of the lost tourist. He went to the innkeeper and tossed her a gold coin. She saw the girl clutching his arm and gave them both a a sly grin.

Jase brought her up to the room and kissed her neck slowly making his way downward and pulling off the cloak and caressing her smooth pale skin. He showered her with kisses, his stubble tickling her bare skin as he got lower and lower...

She stayed close to him as they moved through the city, nearly falling several times, incredibly drunk from all the wine. She hardly noticed the inkeeper as the entered the Savintar Wards, Jase leading her to his room.

As soon as the door shut behind them, his lips moved to her neck, and she let out a small gasp as they stumbled back towards the bed, holding his arms tightly. She barely noticed as he slid the cloak off her, his stubble grazing her skin and tickling her as he kissed down her neck. Her silver eyes, glazed over, fluttered shut as Jase reached back up to press his lips firmly to hers in a kiss as he gently pressed her back onto the bed...
