The Art of Seduction [Closed] Elvyra and Jase

He woke up with Elvyra's head and tussled black hair on his muscular chest. He caressed her cheek, and stared at her expressionless for a moment. Last night was a complete blur, and all that Aldaine could remember was getting slightly tipsy and heading back to a room at the Savintar Warrens for a night of passion.

Jase moved her head off his chest ever so carefully, as to not wake her from her heavy sleep. He grabbed the sheets and draped them around his naked body heading towards the latrine to relieve himself.

When he walked back into the small, yet snug and warm chamber, the Kelvic girl was still sound asleep on the bed. He picked up his tunic and breeches from the ground and began to dress himself. He found his leather riding boots by the door and made his way to a polished oak desk where a quill and paper were tucked in one the drawers. He scrabbled a few words on the paper and left it on his pillow next to the room. Jase decided that he would wait for her at the Red Diamond and see if she had given last night's proposition a thought.

He left the room, quiet as a cat, letting the door slide slowly and smoothly shut. As he made his way down the stairs and to the door, he gave the inkeep' a quick smile and was out the door.

The Art of Seduction [Closed] Elvyra and Jase

Slowly, the Kelvic's eyes fluttered as she began to rouse, stirring. Blinking open her eyes sleepily, she stifled a yawn, and sat up, looking around the unfamiliar room with a frown on her face. Sliding the sheets off her, she slipped out of bed, standing, and winced. The soreness between her legs reminded her of the previous night's activities. Stretching her lithe body despite the dull throb of pain that reminded her of her first time being taken, Elvyra's eyes cast around the room, and she snorted slightly. Of course, she wasn't surprised at the fact that Jase was already gone. Her head ached slightly from all the wine last night, and she sat once more on the bed, rubbing her forehead. It was then that she noticed the scrap of paper on one of the pillows.

Warily, she reached over and plucked it off the pillow, her eyes scanning the paper. For the most part, she couldn't read, but several words she'd come to recognize were on the paper, giving her the gist of the message. She scowled, crumpling the paper, and tossed it into the corner of the room with a careless flick of her wrist. Standing once more, she noted that Jase had folded the cloak and left it on the desk. Walking over to it, Elvyra picked it up somewhat distastefully, and shrugged it over her shoulders as she had last night. Running her fingers through her tangled, silken black curls, she left the room, glancing at the inkeeper as she passed, slipping out the door. Outside, she began to pad silently towards the tavern.

When she got there, it was still relatively quiet, as it was early in the morning. Stepping inside, she brushed snow from her hair, her predatory silver eyes scanning around until they settled on Jase, sitting at the table they'd been at the previous night. She strode over, walking normally despite the constant ache, and slid into a seat, looking at him cooly across the table, baring her fangs slightly. "You wanted to talk?"

The look in her eyes as she spoke to him, told him that she was most likely angry at him for having left her alone that morning. "It was your first time wasn't it?" he said not too happily, "I wish you had told me beforehand, but on the other side, you were probably too drunk to have done so anyways. I'm not the type to get excited in deflowering girls... but it would seem that fate has once again surprised me."

He grabbed her hand in his and said very carefully and very slowly," I want you to know, that last night was extraordinary, but I don't want it to affect your decision regarding my proposition. Free will is important to me, and I want you to decide for yourself." He moved his hand from her's and caressed the side of her pale white cheek before bringing back both his hands and locking them together waiting ever so patiently for her answer.

She didn't bother to answer the first question that left his lips, though her eyes flickered away with what may have been a trace of embarrassment before returning to him.

However, she hadn't been expecting him to grab her hand, and blinked, focusing more intently on him now that he had her attention. Both his words and the side of his hand gracing her cheek flustered her, and rosy colour rose in her cheeks. Uncomfortable, she dropped her gaze, taking a moment to compose herself. She disliked the fact that she was becoming flustered. Rolling her shoulders, she set her jaw stubbornly and looked back up.

"You said you were born in Syliras," She said carefully after a moment, doubt in her eyes. "I presume, then, that you will be returning there eventually." She fell silent, pausing, and bit her lower lip. She'd never left Taldera. It was her home. The cold, the snow, the ice. The curtain of light that lit up the night sky was all she'd ever known. But wasn't that even more of a reason to accept Jase's offer?

The young girl's face darkened, and she sat there silently for some time, brooding, thinking everything over. What did she have to lose? Nothing, really. Her hand went up and touched the ring that sat at the hollow of her throat. Looking at Jase, she examined him thoughtfully. She doubted very much so that he was the companion she was seeking, but who knew? Either way, he was the closest to a friend that she'd ever come, and wasn't that worth something?

"I suppose," She said, slowly, breaking the long silence, "That it won't do me any harm to go with you." She shrugged her thin shoulders, and narrowed her bright eyes at him, flashing her fangs. "But don't expect me to stay with you forever, Aldaine. I'll go with you because it suits me, and I'll leave your company when it suits me."

He noted the fact that she hadn't answered his first question, but truth be told, it was none of his concern anyways. He knew the best way to connect with someone was through physical contact and saw her reaction as he touched her hand and cheek.

"Eventually, yes," he answered, "but I have a feeling fate will take me elsewhere before I arrive at my final destination. I need strong and capable people if I'm ever to reclaim my family's former glory and with just the two of us, and my brothers, I don't think I'll get very far in hunting down that bastard of a man." Even the thought of Moren Darkstone infuriated Jase and made his blood boil. In that moment, he was transformed from the charming, handsome young man, to a twisted and dark man longing revenge. Jase fought to regain his composure and nonchalance, not wanting to frighten Elvyra with this dark side of him.

He thought of his brothers, Turran and Arcturus and was slightly uneasy at the thought that they hadn't sent word since his departure. Maybe the letter had gotten lost, there were thousands of plausible explanations, though Jase worried constantly about them. He was the only one they had, their only parental figure; and who was he? A man barely out of his twenties, not as wet behind the ears as his siblings, yet still so inexperienced. Jase loved to throw the appearance of perfection to his friends and family, but now he realized just how scared he was to face life.

That brief moment of fear was dispelled shortly after, however. He had to be strong, not for himself but for Turran, Arcturus and even Elvyra. He couldn't let them see he was weak. He was a born leader, and when a leader shows sounds of fear, no man or woman would follow him.

The response he had been waiting for, for so long had finally come, and pleased Jase to an immeasurable extent. "I'm glad it had come down to this, and I think I'll stay in Avanthal a bit longer now. The fight has merely just begun, and I intend to show Moren Darkstone just how strong I am, when I cut off his head and put it on a spike." He laughed, giving another one of his brilliant smiles...
