Built into the cliffs overlooking the Suvan Sea, Riverfall resides on the edge of grasslands of Cyphrus where the Bluevein River plunges off the plain and cascades down to the inland sea below. Home of the Akalak, Riverfall is a self-supporting city populated by devoted warriors. [Riverfall Codex]

[Kulkukan Tavern] How About This Weather, Huh? - Aren

At Aren's kiss, Meera felt much better. The Drykas was working under the assumption that he did not wish to copulate whereas Meera did - or so she thought. Had Meera been sober like Aren, she could have realized that she would not owe Aren anything strictly because they were now courting. She could, if she wanted to, but Meera was acting under her own pressure, and intoxicated. Meera may not necessarily want to jump into the act so quickly - she had no sexual experience other than kissing and thought there should be an in-between point - but Aren had kissed her and she quite enjoyed kissing him.

Meera wrapped her arms around him and she applied her lips to the most pleasant task of kissing his, her tongue becoming a daring pilgrim. Her breaths were heavy and gave way to a small satisfactory, happy purr. Meera's head started to feel heavy against Aren's mouth. Her small purr and noise of a unknown, growing desire was transformed into a low moan and suddenly she jerked her head back.
Meera had started to grow quite tired.
Meera turned her head to the side and yawned, her eyelids falling and she struggled to keep them open. The bed was just so comfortable compared to hard ground and her bed roll. It didn't take much for Meera to grow weary, warm as she was in her ale-induced stupor.
She cocked her head and gave Aren a lazy grin, staring at him for a few moments and holding him as though to keep herself steady.

It didn't take much for Meera to grow weary, warm as she was in her ale-inHer eyes were half-closed and shimmering and she yawned again, loud and obnoxious and smacked her lips satisfactory.

"Tired. Warm." She said lazily, the silly grin on her face still from Aren. A part of her deep inside, drowning in the ale, thought all of this was quite ridiculous. Too sappy. This was ... too easy. Meera suspected more trials and tribulations in a relationship. She had not expected relationships to be so smooth and easy. No wonder people got married, fell in love, had children.

[Kulkukan Tavern] How About This Weather, Huh? - Aren

Aren smiled as the ale finally started to bring her down. About time, he thought. The akalak had feared that she might feel the need to try the dress out there and then, stripping right in front of him. Well, perhaps "feared" wasn't the right word, but he was certainly concerned that his response to such behavior might have been somewhat morally reprehensible.

As the drykas cuddled up on her new bed, in her new room, Aren's eyes gave the place the old once over. He smiled, knowing that she had a roof under her head, and a warm bed to sleep in.

Grabbing her feet, Aren placed them on the bed, shifting her position to a more comfortable one. His gaze softened on her, as he patted the bed, "Come on, lay back," he said softly, almost at a whisper, knowing that too loud of a voice might bother Meera in her state.

Aren just wanted to make sure she was comfortable before he left her to dream. He wasn't just going to leave her, like he had last time. Last time, they had been little more than strangers, but now they were... he didn't really know what they were. The drykas had asked if they were courting, so did that make her his woman? The akalak didn't particularly like that label, preferring her to simply be Meera, but he had to admit that the thought was not an altogether unwelcome one.

Was she his? Aren's lips curved upwards, as he thought about what that meant, and his eyes softened on the drykas even more.

Character: Meera
Skills: +1 Linguistics, +1 Socialization, +1 Drinking, +1 Kissing
Lore: Telling secrets, Drunken kissing, Pride and vanity,

Character: Aren
Skills: +1 Linguistics, +1 Socialization, +1 Manners,+1 Kissing
Lore: Keeping secrets, Discretion is the better part of Valor, Repressing your brother half, Gentleman to the end

Notes: You both continue to impress me with your role playing skills in portraying the difficulty of a language barrier. Meera, your Drykas pride is shown very well and Aren your cool, removed Akalak upbringing is impressive. More people need to show the language/conversation perseverance between cultures as you both do so nicely.
If you have any questions or comments about your grade, please PM me.
