Tock's interest grew when the man said he worked in the ironworks. That was far more interesting to her than a Knight, and she suddenly didn't have to fake her interest in him anymore. As their drinks arrived she knocked hers back like an old pro, having been drinking since a young age in Sunberth. Then she leaned forward a bit and laid her hand on the young man's arm.

"Whatcha done makes down 'ere?" she asked him with genuine interest. "Jus' swords, o' all kinds o' stuff? I done been enchantin' somma 'ose swords, aye? Mebbe I done puts some magic what in one o' the swords what ya done forged, aye?" she snickered. "'At'd be mighty fine an' funny, weren't she?" Her boss, Archimaneus, made Magecrafted weapons exclusively for the Syliran Knights. Part of her work (on the rare occasions the old fart actually let her do some good hands on stuff) involved helping him with the process of infusing Djed into the weapons. Though the rest of the time she ran errands for him, which was how she'd met Syrah to begin with.

She waved the bartender over for another drink, having finished her first one quite fast. "Aye, I done makes all kinds o' stuff," she said with no small trace of pride. "I done were a woodcarver, an' I makes some gadgets 'ere an' 'ere. An' been 'elpin' the Bossman Animated up some assistant Golems what fer the shop..." She suspected Archimaneus would prefer a Golem assistant to having her as his apprentice, and wondered if he'd be canning her once it was completed. Not that she particularly liked working for him... and dealing with that damn cat. She seriously wanted to stuff that thing in a furnace one day.

"So, mate," she said to Marcus with a wink, "whatcha done made what's good, aye?"

"What!? Boring metal?!" Marcus' eyes widened as he spoke. "How can you think metal is boring? There is so much to be done with it! Anything from simple tools to grande pieces of armor!" Marcus said, trying to calm himself down. His pride in his work was coming through and he was sure it was getting irritating, but it was hard to calm himself down. "Ahem, he coughed. "Right, well to each his own." Marcus listened as the girl spoke of her business. It wasn't the most interesting of of lectures, nothing like making weapons, but he agreed on one thing, the climate could always be better. "I'll drink to that. I can barely handle winters here...I don't know how I survived Ravok..." Perhaps it wasn't a great idea to mention he was from Ravok. He knew Syliras and Ravok weren't exactly on good terms with each other, and for good reason.

The conversation shifted towards Braeden's work. "Aye, I make swords, small ones, big ones, and anything in between really. But I make other weapons as well, axes, hammers, spears and what have you. But swords are by far the most satisfying" he explained. Syrah then asked if he had ever used a sword. "Of course I play with swords from time to time. I used to spar with my brother, but now I just kinda swing them around to 'test' the balance of the weapon" he chuckled. "I would like to really get good with them one day" he said. Marcus needed to learn how to defend himself one of these days, last thing he needed was another Winter of 510AV.

He shifted his attention back to the red haired girl, who seemed to have discovered a new found interest in him ever since he told them he was a smith. He thought she was just trying to set him up with Syrah. "Magrecraft eh? I don't personally do it. Far too dangerous. But I know an old friend of mine is a magecrafter, have no clue where he is now. Anyway, if you want to mage craft something, I can definitely forge it for you" he said as he took a swig of ale. Golems? Can't say I am familiar, but if you do magecraft it's probably dangerous and complicated" he laughed.
