Hello there to everyone who happens to have stopped to read this. A few days ago I stumbled on your- hopefully soon I can comfortably say "our"- site. Since then I've been reading up on the lore, trying to get a feel for what it's like here, and debating whether to join or not. Well, I liked the sound of things and figured I'd give it a shot. With regards to experience, I've roleplayed in several MMORPGs over the past year and a half or so, though this will be the first time I've ever really tried roleplaying through forums. Regardless of that, I decided this was worth a try. I mean, the worst that I can see happening is I screw up and get laughed at, and that can be rather fun for everyone on its own. I have noticed that the average post length is rather wordy compared to what I'm used to, but I'm sure I'll adjust just fine given a little time. Anyway, I just wanted to drop in, say hello, compliment you on a good looking site, and get back to sorting through this metric ton of information. Hope to be rping with some of you soon. Now, let's see... what was I trying to figure out before writing this?...

PS. I welcome any constructive criticism with regards to anything I post- one of the easiest ways to find our own mistakes after all- whether or not I take all advice given. I'm here to have fun and improve myself.

No one is going to laugh at you, we promise. It's always a major step, joining a site like this with tons and tons of lore. It seems overwhelming at first but after you spend a little while just reading and learning, it will come much more naturally and you'll cheer and rave about how awesome it is to have so much information right at your fingertips.
