The massive stretch of desert that overwhelms Eyktol. Here, a man's water is worth more than his life, and the burying sands are the unfortunate's mute undertaker.

An Unprecedented Journey

Postby Seirysu on July 11th, 2012, 2:53 am

69th Summer, 512 A.V.

Take this time to close your eyes, allowing your mind and surroundings to become completely submerged in darkness and within this empty world, where only you remain, and your thoughts resonating throughout this empty world: a world completely void of life. A world that then explodes violently with light which quickly rushes towards you embraces you with an in comprehensible warmth; you can no longer feel the solid ground, its as if your soaring through the air and then you pause to a complete stop.

Now open your eyes! Your standing in a world of golden sand! You spread out your arms as excitement takes over you and as the wind blows, the cloak upon your back and the hood placed over your head flies backwards, displaying your skin to the warmth of the sun, and now you have truly awakened and seen through his eyes, Seirysu's eyes.

A serene moment of freedom, achieved in the reality of a dream.

He steps forward, allowing the beginning chapters of his life to be written.

An Unprecedented Journey

Postby Sebastion on July 11th, 2012, 2:55 pm

"Shim thinks we are lost."

The words were spoken nonchalantly, as if this was no real problem. For Shim it wasn't. He had enough clay to last him the time it would take to make it to the City of Sand, despite this directional set-back, and he had no need for water, though his companion's story was a little different.

Every hour or so Shim let the Zypherian sled dog take a drink from the water pouches that she carried. He had cut a couple patches in her fur down to the skin to encourage air flow, but Snowflake's jet black coat was absorbing the harsh sunlight and he could tell she was suffering the longer they were out there. Whenever any shade could be found Shim made sure to guide his riding companion there, and he realized that if they were out much longer they would have to start traveling in the night time instead of the day, something he chided himself for not thinking of sooner.

So the two travelers paced slowly over the dunes of the great burning lands, a clay man who held the appearance of a riding maiden, seated precariously upon the bulk of the massive dog he was riding. They marched slowly, but ever forward, despite the fact that Shim was entirely unsure if forward was the right direction to be headed in. He pressed his left forefinger to the silver amulet that hung around his neck, his only adornment other than his clay in prayer to Harameus to guide him, then began humming in his deep baritone, ushering them onward. His voice was much softer the second time.

"Shim thinks we are lost."

An Unprecedented Journey

Postby Seirysu on July 12th, 2012, 6:20 pm

Seirysu, being the cautious and shy fellow he is, carefully checks his surroundings before crossing over another sand dune, it was hot but good thing he was prepared! ''The Last Dragon'' was a nickname he was uncommon with probably with his affiliation with reptilian species he's encountered and his unique charm in talking with and the most notable of these creatures were snakes.

He's spoken to many travelers along the way, decent people; he knew not their names but that didn't matter, he was trying to find his own people others out there like himself and lastly to learn about the creator of his people, as even they must have had a creator: a mother of sorts...

Seirysu, spots something moving down below in the sands, crossing over the smaller dunes below, they looked and seemed lost and of course wanting to be a ''good samaritan'' he shouts towards them saying.

HEY!?

An Unprecedented Journey

Postby Sebastion on July 12th, 2012, 9:20 pm

It was after another hour of traveling, the two travelers taking a break in the shade of a small shrub that Shim heard the sound of a voice calling out to them.

Did you here that Snow?

It was clear the Sled dog had, for her head whipped about from side to side before pinpointing the sound. Even from this distance the figure still appeared enormous compared to the two companions. Shim cocked his head to the side inquisitively.

Maybe we should say hello?

Snowflake had no opinion to contribute to this matter, mouth partially open, panting slightly. So Shim raised one red hand and shouted.

Greetings!

The Dhani would hear a deep baritone roll over the dunes toward his eardrums, despite the figures small size, even smaller due to the distance, he had to have quite some pipes to belt that out. The sound echoed across the dunes, and Shim wondered a bit too late, if his volume shouldn't have been quite that....noticeable. He shrugged this worry off, however, and tapped Snowflake's shoulder with his foot, guiding her toward the stranger, eyes searching over the smooth sand that surrounded them.

He hears a response and proceeds to move forward. The desert heat effected his sight from a distance since he was now familiar with mirages and other illusions of the sort. He proceeds with caution as he treads carefully across the desert dunes, it was apparent that he had taken the long route, taking him some days to make it this far.

........

He didn't say much once he had cleared the distance between him and the person up ahead of him; it was odd for him to see another soul out here, who would travel this far in such an inhospitable place! and live to tell the tale about it! Luckily, he knew where he was going... sorta.

He slides down the sand dune all surfer like and was now a healthy distance between what was now to his knowing a dog and a young lady! Gasps! He could see that the canine was thirsty and the heat was taking its toll, so he did some quick thinking, he walked closer and stretched out his hand and asked.

Would you like some water?

Asking not only Snowflake but the young pycon as well!

An Unprecedented Journey

As the stranger approached, Snowflake's ears flattened against her skull, lips pulling back in a silent growl at the newcomer.

Now now, Snow, that is not how to greet new people.

The Pycon rubbed the sled dog's neck, flicking behind her left ear lightly to tell her it was okay for now. In response the large dog's ears pricked up a bit and her frame relaxed, though icy blue eyes still eyed the giant man warily. Shim grinned up at the stranger endearingly.

Shim is sorry for his companion's caution, Snowflake is protective.

Shim pondered the stranger's offer for a moment. He was a very trustworthy sort, but it still seemed odd to be so forthright with supplies when they had only just met. Ehh, who was he to judge?

We appreciate your attempt at aid, but these burning lands are hard enough to travel upon, we wouldn't wish to take anything not rightfully earned. Shim has no need of water, and Snow carries enough for herself. Your gesture is, however, much appreciated, Snow is very grateful.

The sled dog grunted apathetically, looking a smidgen less than grateful, but wagged her tail once as if in response. Shim extended his small clay hand towards the stranger.

Besides, Shim has not even introduced himself, and doesn't know this new stranger's name! Shim's full name is Sebastion Hyacinth Isabella Mordecai, but he goes by Shim because it only has one syllable compared to 13! What can he call you?

Seirysu: I can understand snowflakes discretion;especially towards someone strange and offering water in the middle of this arid and hostile place.

He grins...

Seirysu: Then that is is good to see you have water! In these parts may have died from the sheer heat and exhaustion, sleeping in difficult as well as wild animals tend to scope out those injured or stalk potential prey!

He responds to the handshake with a gentle nod.

Seirysu: Sorry for the refusal of a hand shake, my hands are kinda dirty and shaking another souls hand while ones hand is dirty wouldn't be proper but I can say this! The cities in the direction I was heading its but a two day trip that I know of but one would be able to reach it there in no time!

He begins to walk, gesturing his newly found comrades to follow with his hands.

Seirysu: We must make haste! Before the sun rises higher into the sky! Its is said that once the sun reaches it highest point the temperature will rise and travel will become hazardous!

An Unprecedented Journey

Postby Sebastion on July 17th, 2012, 1:53 pm

Suddenly Shim felt rather relieved, though the stranger had still not given his name (titles were something the Pycon took very seriously) he was clearly in a hurry, and probably for good reason. Harameus had certainly led him to the right individual to guide him to the city. He touched the small amulet that hung around his neck once in thanks before assessing his new companions words.

What an utterly polite man! Of course Shim was not at all concerned with the cleanliness of his hand, but first he offered water, second he politely declines a handshake in the middle of the desert due to the purity of his hand. The Pycon could almost jump in excitement. Snowflake was clearly less thrilled, but she was just as eager to get moving as the stranger, so Shim set her into motion alongside the massive man and they began moving once more.

"Well then, Shim supposes we must be off." He glances up the long and arduous journey up to the man's face, examining his quite serpentine eyes. "What exactly will we do once the sun inevitably reaches that point?"

The Pycon could care less about the intense heat, he rather enjoyed it, his clay dried a little more and flexibility was not optimum, but there was no real significant discomfort. However, he was concerned about the two fleshy beings he was now traveling with, their needs went immediately above his on this already interesting journey.

An Unprecedented Journey

Seirysu: Once the sun reaches that point we find shelter quickly!Though, in this particular area I have seen some large rock formations and rocky locations where possible cave could be. I'm not certain for sure since I've yet fallen prey to mirages...

He briefly becomes quiet

Seirysu: I' am Seirysu Hei! The traveling adventurer from Riverfall in search of my family or at least those sharing the same particular traits I have. Oh, and its a pleasure to meet you Sebastian and snowflake also pardon my rudeness from before. I'm just in a hurry to get from this heat and get some food!

He walks as he talks to his two new companions; enjoying the company of the two new souls that were with him but suddenly he stops, noticing the two very strange rocks lying in the sand; their appearance seemed solid from a distance but then you could notice how oddly rigged the ''rocks'' were, including the fact that they were oddly large and were to far away from any rock formation present within the area. So, he could only think of one thing.

Seirysu: Sebastian: He whispers. '' Do you have any weapons?

Seirysu Hea, what a beautiful name! A pleasure to meet you Seirysu.

The Pycon smiled contentedly, he always felt better knowing someone's title, it expanded his knowledge about an individual, even if it was only the most minute detail, a name could divulge a lot over time, if one just had a bit of patience. For instance, Shim had never encountered a Dhani before, but he had heard about them, read about them. Of course he wasn't just going to assume that the first giant man with blood red eyes he met was also a snake, but the name Seirysu was very serpentine the way it slid through the mouth to be expelled into sound waves, and how he was looking for others of his kind, that was what the Pycon realized made him a Dhani. He chuckled, how clever he was.

Shim nudged Snowflake to stop, peering ahead. He could not see as far as his new companion, but Seirysu clearly sensed some kind of danger ahead. The Pycon followed his gaze to the rocks, His small hands rummaged through the saddlebags, producing his blowgun and a handful of darts. Shim has his trusty blowgun, but if Seirysu is implying that formation ahead is in fact a creature of a hostile nature, Shim is unsure how much these will help. He looked up at the Dhani, and felt Snowflake tense beneath him.
