Thane Son of the War Sworn ![]() Age: 19 Race: Myrian Height: 5'11" Weight: 211 lbs Appearance Fierce, strong, and formidable, Thane embodies all of what a Myrian warrior is born for, and strives for even more. A lean and impressive figure by all rights, even among his people, the young man stands at just under six feet tall, his tanned brown skin hardened with the seas of muscle that swell beneath. Thane's facial features are just as sharp and bold, a vivid reflection of his harsh heritage. His strong jawline and chin in particular, along with his Myrian physique, makes the warrior an intimidating sight to behold either on or off the battlefield. His dark brown eyes, observant and sometimes even piercing if nothing else, seem to mostly lock themselves in a scrutinizing or suspicious glare when Thane studies something for the first time. The Myrian keeps his long dark black hair loose, and for the most part, unkempt, favoring instead to simply let it drape over his broad shoulders and chest without much concern. That said, he tends to keep his facial hair reigned in as best he can, preferring to stay shaven when he conducts his business, wherever he may be at the time. This is mirrored on his body as it mostly barren as well, something the son of the War Sworn intends to correct with as many well earned markings and battle scars as possible. As for the moment however, his skin is relatively bare of these, holding host to only a few. At the back of his neck begins an intricate and bold tribal design of interlocking weaves and lines running down his spine. The tattoo encircles a large sword that strikes right down the center of it all, while on the back of either shoulder are two heads of roaring tigers, each connected by the elaborate black ink. This striking tattoo marks his heritage amongst the War Sworn and his commitment to both the tribe and his Goddess. The warrior also has a number of lengthy scars on his right leg and ankle, along with the remnants an old and dreadful looking injury on his lower right side. The scar is a long, jagged cut across his ribs and down to his hip which no doubt must have felt as bad as it looks. Where or how he received these however, the Myrian curiously will not say. Adding to all this is, of course, Myri's blessing. Three short raking claw marks across his right cheek just under his eye brands him as one of Myri's fierce people. Perhaps not as large and striking as other gnosis markings rewarded by the Goddess Queen, but worn on his face, Thane bears it proudly for all to see at any time. Personality Thane, to an outsider, may seem just like any other simple bloodthirsty savage, and while that maybe true for his enemies, to his own people, the young warrior is perhaps too complex for his own good. Being born to the War Sworn -a large and competitive tribe with a long, bloody history- Thane has always been curious of the outside world, and finds himself rarely unable to pass up a chance to learn more of it. Yet despite this, he deeply distrusts and sometimes even despises the other races that he has yet to even meet. In fact, the more different something is from the Myrian, the more likely Thane has already decided he dislikes them. This goes double for things he considers monsters even among the strange races of Mizahar, seeing them all as a persistent infestation that he zealously fights to end, especially In Falyndar. As one might expect from a young Myrian his age, Thane is sometimes best and most easily described cocksure and arrogant, always ready to win a fight, especially if its against the enemies of his people. But while he perhaps tends to take too much pride in his skills and prowess, it is a prowess he has forged through years of stalking the merciless terrain of his homeland and bloodying his hands on both dhani, charodae and human victims alike. In the end however it only takes a few words to summarize the warrior for all his good and bad; Thane is a caring and loving person. He cares for his family above all else, and he loves his home and goddess more than anything, even if he sometimes dreams of venturing away from it. Which leads one to find the thing that most earnestly drives the eager son of the War Sworn. Raised in a large family with numerous siblings has forged Thane into a deeply competitive young man. That, added with the restrictions to what he can achieve due to matriarchal society of Taloba, leaves Thane yearning for a chance to prove himself above all others. He is always eager to prove himself in someway or another, either by embracing wholeheartedly the War Sworn's lust for battle, or endeavoring to train both his mind and body in new arts so as to outdo his competition, as long as he not just another blade in another fang, the warrior seems as if he will never be satisfied with what he as or what it will lead him to become. Attire Thane wears a simple assortment of clothing and armor to best suit the versatile necessities of Falyndar. He prefers to wear light and nonrestrictive leather rather than than anything else. To that end, while on a hunt or patrol, he wears simple brown leather armor over his chest and legs, the latter equipped with a number of pouches and hidden pockets. He also has a pair of bracers on each arm to accompany this. While at home and away from the fight however, his clothing is more loose, consisting of a plain, sleeveless gray tunic and a pair baggy, black, cotton breeches with a wide white sash tied around his waste. Regardless of what his situation may be though, Thane can always be found wearing his necklace of trophies about his neck. Consisting of a number of fangs and teeth from many of his enemies, Thane wears the simply leather strap with great deal of pride and never seems to take it off. History |
