Tock snorted and laughed at the idea of 'King Nothing.' She rather enjoyed that idea. In Sunberth, people just didn't allow any one man to seize that much power. But it amused her to think of someone gaining such power, but then having everyone leave, ignoring him, so that he was left ruling over a stretch of dirt.

But she became more focused again when Wart talked about working class, useful people. She became suddenly inspired, and leaned on the table, sketching an outline of the city, with multiple buildings framed with scaffolds, and workers everywhere working on building and expanding.

Showing the city in a state of growth. Representing change. Having the statue represent not Zeltiva as it was now, but Zeltiva as it would one day be. Growing. Changing. Getting better.

Her statue would be a testament to the future. To generations yet to come. A symbol to show the people, ALL the people, that they didn't need to fear progress and change. That they didn't need to cling to the past, and keep the city the way it was before the Djed storm. But rather, that they could grow and change and come out of that tragedy stronger, and become something better for it.

When she was done, with an outline of the sketch and a long line of notes about what it all represented, she was so excited that she grabbed Wart and kissed her full on the lips. "Yer bloody brilliant, Conch!" she said, grinning wide. She might have kissed the ghost, too, for his ideas about the importance of Laviku and the city's sailors were being incorporated as a big part of her design. But, the ghost kinda freaked her out, and she wasn't quite sure if she COULD kiss a ghost...

OOCI've made quite a few adjustments to the statue's design based on everything discussed here. Which is PERFECT, since that's the whole point of this thread. I had a partial design worked out in my head before this thread, but it's getting much better after being discussed IC. So thank you both!

Noaru sat back in his seat listening to Tock and Wart converse; it was a pleasant time for him, being able to listen to others chat so casually and with him being in their presence as they did so. He remember some significant things, how it felt to feel that shred of humanity he had left; though, it was minor he included the possibility of a better future and love! ''I'm getting soft... Maybe, I can be a good guy just for today.'' He thought, grinning slightly as he closes his eyes, allowing himself to drift off into his memories of the past.

''The result of this discussion will be marvelous! I'm glad I was able to take part in it.''

He said, allowing himself to appearing more ''solid'' than before, he now resembled his old-self! The spirit no longer carried the gloomy black cloak, he now wore a pure white robe which allowed his hair and facial features to be seen; it was quite refreshing for him to do so, reminding him of what he used to be. He opens his eyes to see Tock kiss Wart on the lips, it didn't bother him much at all seeing as people expression their affection and happiness in various ways.

''Tranquility, a fleeing moment of peace in life's short moments!''

The Zeltivan Monument Series Part 5: The Design (OPEN)

Wart froze on her last word, Tock's sudden intensity catching her by surprise. She leaned in, trying to get a glimpse of what it was that had come over her so quickly. She couldn't see much of what it was her friend was sketching from her angle, but after a moment or two could make out a building, some scaffolding, a worker…

They're building…

Her eyes narrowed as she continued watching, starting to grasp the principle of growth being captured in the outline. She was still looking when Tock finished and took her by surprise, yet again, by grabbing and kissing her. "Aah… I… Thanks?" She smiled and laughed lightly, still not quite sure how it was she was "brilliant."

Wart looked over to the ghost, who was looking considerably more solid and friendly. Both he and Tock seemed quite happy at whatever had just happened but she herself was still a little lost. Laughing again she shook her head and said "Wait wait so, you figured 'er out then?"

Tock nodded, jotting down some more notes to make sure she had the idea down. "Aye," she said, "maybe some little kinks fer ta work out 'ere and 'ere, git somma the details down. But, I gots the main theme all worked out right good now..."

Sailing ships and fish to represent the importance of the sailors and the sea. A trident and Laviku's wave symbol to represent religion. And the city itself, held aloft by a strong figure, with images of the people working to make Zeltiva grow. It would represent the people.

"Gonna 'as ta work out some stuff 'bout the rest o' the lot," she muttered, gathering up her papers. "What fer the space 'round 'er done been kinda empty. But 'is," she tapped her fingers on the pages, grinning, "'is done gonna been great!"

She smiled at her friend, then up at the ghost. She was still rather weirded out by the fact that there was a goddamn ghost in the library, and she'd just spent at least a bell talking culture and politics with it. It wasn't the sort of haunted tale one heard around campfires at night. She tried to imagine telling children the story of The Haunted Library and The Political Ghost, and all she could do was laugh. Though she still kinda wanted to shove something through the ghost just to see what happened.

"Thanks a bunch," she said, starting to pack her things away. "Gonna been great, she is! I done owes it ta the both o' ya..."

''Don't mention it! It was an honor to have spent this evening with you, discussing about politics.''

Noaru began to fade from view, slowly his body became more transparent than it already was; his silhouette remained there for a little while still sitting there in the chair, he was thinking as he usually does when he was alone but this time, he thought of how days such as these should last! He smiled a little before he completely fades out of view, remembering the day he spent time with Tock and Wart: a memory that would remain with him forever even as he sits in this chair completely invisible to the normal human eye.

''Looks like I should be going....''

[...Blink...] He disappears completely to venture off elsewhere.

Wart smiled as she started collecting her own books together. "Hey, 'sno problem, can't wait ta see 'er!" It occurred to her that maybe she should say some sort of goodbye to the ghost (so that he didn't do something creepy like follow her home and haunt her), but by the time she looked over he was slowly disappearing. She stood there for a moment looking at the now empty chair, a little disconcerted with the fact that it may have left, or it may just be invisible and still sitting there. Shaking her head she tried to dismiss it, and went to retrieve the book she'd thrown at him earlier. Gods talkin' politics to a petchin' ghost. I'd never hear the end 'a it if I started tellin' people shyke like that.

As she picked up the landscape book that had been sitting there on the floor, her eye caught the flower arrangement on the page and something clicked.
"Gonna 'as ta work out some stuff 'bout the rest o' the lot…"

Rushing back she caught Tock just as she was leaving. "Hey, if ya need ideas bout the area 'round it, I might be able ta help ya there…"
