Built into the cliffs overlooking the Suvan Sea, Riverfall resides on the edge of grasslands of Cyphrus where the Bluevein River plunges off the plain and cascades down to the inland sea below. Home of the Akalak, Riverfall is a self-supporting city populated by devoted warriors. [Riverfall Codex]

Kavala stood in the cleared out circle with the vaulted ceiling. She slowly turned a circle, lifting her arms wide, absorbing the fact that the circle was finally complete. She'd removed stone and had a terrible time figuring out how to do it in such a way as to get a perfect circle until she'd employed a stone nail, a loosely looped string, and played it out walking in a circle smoothing the wall further and further out until her chamber had achieved the enormous roundness that she wanted. It was here, in this temple, that she'd place a tribute to the Gods.

She wanted Rak'keli honored of course, Eyris too, and Nysel as well. Each God would have a statue and an alter set on the wall, none more important than the other, none more prominent. Kavala knew too that it would be prudent to honor Wysar and Akajia beings that this was there territory here in Riverfall as well. There would be room for more too, if others wanted to pitch it alters. Her job would be to simply create the small stone structures and statues standing up against the walls honoring the deities. She also wanted stonework put into the floor with the quarters holding stone stands for candles and a center stand for anything that it might be needed - cauldron, more light, table. She had a budget for the project and had spent the money wisely for the supplies, including tiny little statues of the deities that she could make larger for the wall decorations.

The first thing she needed to decided though was now to pattern the floor and what color of stone she wanted to produce to pattern it. So she sat down, right in the center, and began to meditate on the process, deciding who should be placed first, what should happen second, and what sort of pattern work she wanted on the floors, ceilings, and walls.

[Sanctuary] We Shall Not Forget The Gods

There was a special place inside the sanctuary that Kavala said she was going to create today, the Sacred Circle. This would be where all the Gods would be thanked for the many deeds and such that they did for these mere mortals. He knew this would likely entail statues and statuettes honoring these gods but he had no idea just who would be honored here. He knew the purpose was to have a place to come and lay down offerings asking for guidance when it was needed most. But this left out several details that Serrif knew he would have to see for himself. Even though he knew there was little he could do to help Kavala create this space he wanted to be available if she need want to use his help.

He made his way though the within and through the training room to where Kavala had begun her meditation already. He knew Rak’keli would be honored and as such he wished he could carve things from stone. He had seen Rak’keli himself and actually been in the Goddesses very presence. She had laid her perfect godly touch on him and lifted the years of fractures from his bones; with just a simple touch. She needed to be acknowledged here in the Sanctuary and with so many healers around he knew she would be. He didn’t doubt that Kavala had seen Rak’keli as well. She was a twice marked healer and as such there was a certainty that the Goddess had visited her personally as well. Although Serrif had had quite the opposite happen with him…he had went to see the Goddess.

All past aside he wanted to lend a hand however possible so he looked down the hallway leading to the Sacred Circle and noticed that Kavala was sitting in the center of the room meditating. She was not to be disturbed now so he waited for her to finish doing whatever it was she was going to do before bothering her in any way. She was likely pondering what to do with the room, and he knew that long strings of thought were often difficult to put back on the trail if led astray. In a way he wanted to know what was going through her mind, and what wonderful possibilities her magic brought to her.

meets it head-on and licks it,
or he turns his back on it and starts to wither away.
