While Sylira is by far the most civilized region of Mizahar, countless surprises and encounters await the traveler in its rural wilderness. Called the Wildlands, Syliran's wilderness is comprised of gradual rolling hills in the south that become deep wilderness in the north. Ruins abound throughout the wildlands, and only the well-marked roads are safe.

Fall 1 512 AV- Night

He had been challenged, and such a show will not be tolerated. He had been humiliated by idiots, and fools. They did not understand him all they could understand was the sickness that was getting ahold of them all. Well, if that was the only message they can understand, besides that of the point of a blade, then he will deliver. Oh no, not with the edge of his sword. He wasn’t going to lower himself to the level of those knights, but with something greater, something that can fell armies, wipe out entire civilizations, kill any mortal man. The Nuit revealed at the thought, the plots of revenge growing even sweeter in the undeads mind. No idiots shall survive in Rays new world.

His own little research division was formed with much haste, but just because it was built with haste doesn’t mean that little planning went into its forming. The nuit was a well educated elite, and his subject of study was Alchemy, the art of transformation. Boy will the Nuit transform this camp into something greater, something superior to the rest, superior to the knights themselves. While they quested for their ‘cure’ calling upon their gods and searching the wilderness randomly the nuit was doing research. Though logic and reason, through the powers of the mind will this be cured. It was but one of many ways, and it was the Professors belief that it would be the fastest way. If there was a natural cure out there the healers in Zeltiva would have found it.

Through his supporters they have got ahold of a separate Pavilion to support their cause. What little support he had quickly set up the area, while Ray went to the merchant to buy much needed supplies. He was half wondering if the guy would sell to him tonight or not, considering everything was winding down for the night. The knights had got less rowdy, and everyone was settling in. Luckily though Ray had found his way through the sea of tents and fires to find the lowly merchant and ask if he couldn’t procure some goods from him this evening. It was a little late, but in the end the merchant agreed and sold the nuit what he wanted.

Receipt :
Glass vial- 1 GM x 10= 10 GM
Glass Jar- 2 GM x1= 2 GM
Total= 12 GM

With his supplies in hand he returned to camp. There still was much work to be done, much thinking. Entering the pavilion the nuit set the glass vials on a far table away from the entrance. The entire space was dimly lit by lanterns, and near the center of the place, out of the way of any supporting beams that held the tent up, laid an Alchemy circle. It had been hastily crafted, and some of the alchemical runes were not in the best shape, but if you had to take it apart every night and put it back together, especially with all the annoying pulsers distracting you then it wouldn’t be of the best quality either. The nuit would make note to fix that if he ever decided to use the circle tonight. For now he had to think. Why was everyone getting sick? Rayage had raised awareness of the pestilence which was following the group, and through that had managed to root out some of the deciding factors. The nuit mumbled to himself and paced back and forth. He was reflecting on the events of a couple days ago. Not everyone was sick… not everyone was sick.

He remembered the words of the konti healer and the signs of the plague: Swelling, Fevers, Colds, Coughing… Its spread by the people who have it, not just the pests following them. Not very specific, but accurate. A second rate healer at best though thanks to her he had clues, valuable clues to the spreading of the plague. If it can be spread from person to person, like she claims, then this thing is even more of a threat than he originally gave it credit for. Too bad he doesn’t care. The causes, sources of the plague were so far people and pests. The nuit began thinking and wondering how people spread sickness. Is it through their cough, their blood, their spittle, or perhaps their excrement’s? Oh the quest for answers is always riddled with questions. The alchemist stopped, it dawned on him, the plague is spread primarily though pests and people. Not that the statement in itself was anything new, but the implications of it were radical. He could rule out so much being the cause of the plague just with that. The drinking water is not contaminated else everyone would be sick. That was not the case. Not everyone was sick. Not everyone was sick…
