To Catch a Glimpse (Kel'Ashun)

The look on Nasrin's face could only be described as satisfied. She was often accused of being an uptight, angry woman but those people only knew her in professional capacities. She kept her personal business, and by extension her personal feelings, out of her perfumery and her lessons. She did not let anyone but Ayana know it, and even with her housemate she was reticent, but she was deeply lonely here in The Spires, cut off from all her ties in Ahnatep; her family, her friends, her lovers. There was no one to see this Nasrin; the one who laughed, sang, who danced with strangers. The melancholy thought brought a faint shimmer to her eyes, and she was glad that her back was turned to her new acquaintance, so that he couldn't catch the expression of pain as it crossed her features.

Nasrin was wholly unprepared for this emotional wave; it caught her by surprise with the strength of it. She dared not answer his teasing compliment, for fear that her voice would crack and betray her. The unexpected return of intimacy to her lonely life only made it more clear to her how very isolated she was.

Feeling his breath ghost across the shell of her ear, she turned quickly. She was grateful that her face was wet from washing, as it hid the moistness of her eyes as she brushed her lips across his once, twice. They had played quite the game up to this point, but Nasrin was finished with games.

To Catch a Glimpse (Kel'Ashun)

Postby Kel'Ashun on January 9th, 2013, 1:07 am

My oh my. It seems little Kel's wandering lips have finally been sealed with a kiss. Ash I really suggest that you not speak right now. The feeling was soft... exquisite. The sheer sensation of her lips on his made his body freeze in surprise, yet burst into flame all in the same instant. He couldn't help but smile as she pulled away the second time.

Amazing... Isn't it though? Now you see what you have been missing. Kel sneered at that. He remembered each and every one of Ash's 'encounters.' They had been passing flings with no interest whatsoever. Kel had never approved of them, nor had he 'stayed along for the ride' as Ash so crudely worded it. Since the death of their parents so long ago Kel had locked himself away. He'd hardened his heart against any close relations. Yet something about this place, this woman, made him want to be free again. He wanted to take a chance. And looking down into those beautifully sad eyes of hers he could not help but think... She was worth the risk.

For a moment he merely looked at her, taking in all that his eyes could see. Her hair had become slightly disheveled during the intensity of her kiss. Her eyes glistened with emotions which Kel himself was all too familiar. And then those lips... they were parted slightly even as they glistened with moisture from the previous kisses. Enticing. Inviting.

To hold his hands away was impossible. With a gentleness he was not entirely accustomed to he brought his hand up to rest against her cheek," My little gem..." He smiled then, his teeth flashing brightly against his darker skin," So beautiful that I have no words." Whether the action was intentional or not, not even Kel could tell, but he found his hand gently brushing a few stray strands of hair from her face. Tucking it back behind her ear in a gesture of intimacy that was almost completely uncharacteristic of him.

... Know what. Screw it.

His fingers slowly traced their way down the side of her face. Along the edge of her proud jaw. And finally resting with just one finger under her chin. His smile grew wider as he whispered to her in a throaty voice," Forgive me for interrupting your song... but there is something entirely different I would like to do with those lips." And he lifted her chin, his eyes boring hotly into her own as he leaned forward to take a kiss for his own. This kiss would be his and his alone. One thing that he could claim.

And claim he did. His other hand wrapped about her waist and pulled her closer. His kiss firm and sure... unlike his heart. It pounded at an alarming rate, his body nearly trembling from the power of the moment. But he did not stop... only deepened it. And here I thought youd never find a proper use for your mouth. Ash!
