Previously, Blizzard had docked her stuff at a medium elevation by a very distinctive tree with a 'B' and snowflake beside it. She had also marked it so she could pick up her scent again and follow it to her belongings. Blizzard had been staying in a den where she had fought and chased of a Zynx which was near that tree and had been planning on. The Zynx had given her a pretty deep scratch on her hind quarter, but it was already beginning to scab over. Luckily, there was a large amount of snow to help rinse it a bit.

Blizzard came across a path and before she even crossed it a horrid smell entered her nose. The Kelvic looked up and down the path but saw nothing other than red mud. Red mud almost never was on the path? There was red clay, but this was like blood like red mud. This made Blizzard extremely perplexed but she wanted to find out what it was. It wasn't like rotting either. It was practically burning her sensitive nostrils.

She wondered about the mud, knowing this was putting a delay on her hunting time. Blizzard collected a twig in her mouth then threw it in with enough force to penetrate the surface but not too well. The smell instantly increased and she was thankful for her enhanced senses to be able to smell it. Little did Blizzard know, the mud was toxic and acidic. Blizzard was just worried about smelling like the stuff and chasing the predator's away but if there was a handbook on the dangers of the Unforgiving, it would've been a different story. She jumped over the first row, walked on the path, noticed there was more on the other side, then jumped it too. The snow leopard soon was bounding up the side of a mountain, the scent of prey becoming stronger.

The Kelvic had spotted it. A herd of Hillgoats and one large one singled out from the rest. There was always that one unlucky loner who stuck with the in crowd but got pushed out either way. Blizzard could relate, but in this case, she'd be sure to end him or her quickly. The predator's white coat blended in perfectly with the snow, the rosettes giving the impression that she was a rock with edges that were uncovered. The Hillgoats discarded her, and she soon bolted quietly for the rocky ledges that stood beside them on the mountain where she found a perfect ledge above the loner.

There it was. About thirty feet in front of the hungry snow leopard, a Hillgoat was eating the shrubs of the high and rocky elevations. Her claws were grasping the edge of the rocky ledge she was perched on. Out here, it was definitely not like Taldera. Out here it definitely felt more like home. The short breezes definitely made her feel more comfortable and luckily the wind was carrying her scent away from the Hillgoat. But she supposed it didn't matter either, for the goat wouldn't have seen her coming from above.

She waited and waited for the right moment when one had spotted her from afar and instantly jerked its head up alerting the others. She had to make this catch quick and easy, lest she go to bed hungry and have wasted all of this energy. The loner jerked its head up as well, but it was too late. Blizzard had already sent her body flying down at the goat with open claws and mouth using the force of her muscles in her legs.

It tried to run, but she was faster and Blizzard had bit into it's neck before it managed to move any more than a few feet. The Kelvic had brought down the Hillgoat within a few minutes and used her claw to cut it's neck where it would be ended quickly like promised. Any other kill, she would've let it bleed out. The Kelvic was hungry and instantly began eating it, tearing at it's flesh, opening it's skin where she could indulge. It's coat was very nice and warm in the high elevations and if it wasn't for that disgusting smelling mud she probably would have tugged the carcass into her fletched out den.

When she was done, she collected some of the snow in her mouth, let it melt, then swallowed to tame her thirst. The carcass was practically stripped clean at the ribs and sirloin cuts. The rest was just guts that scavengers could feed off of so not only would she benefit from one animal but others would as well. The Hillgoat herd had ran as quickly as possible to escape her, abandoning their kin so they themselves would not be turned into an evening appetizer.

She had finished in the right amount of time for a Raskari was approaching quickly, it's black coat standing out in the snow. It's coloring was the complete reverse of the white tigers she had seen in pictures and she could tell that it was one hell of an animal. A lot larger than she. Blizzard managed to grab one more bite to help her go on longer as the distance between her and the Rashkari gradually was decreasing.

Blizzard stood up and quickly, crouching close to the ground, booked it down the mountain side. The thoughts running through her mind were not very healthy at all but she stopped herself. She needed to remember this site with so many of the Hillgoats. Looking for the closest tree, she scratched the "B" along with the snowflake with her claw. Luckily, she had learnt carving. It wasn't her best of work, actually it was probably her worst but it was legible.

Her white coat was visible as it weaved in and out of the trees that the mountain's lower half owned. She was a good distance away from the Rashkari and lucky for her it decided to go the opposite way of her den. Blizzard jumped the pathway and it's muddy lining once more, soon finding her way back by sense of smell. The den was small, to the point where Blizzard had to squeeze through a small opening in a mound of dirt to reach it.

It was only about the size of her to the point when she curled up inside, she was touching almost the entire thing. But it was warm and her body heat provided extra warmth. She wrapped her tail ground her nose and mouth and sighed as she looked outside. He was only in mid elevations and there was still parts of snow outside.
