The Diamond of Kalea is located on Kalea's extreme west coast and called as such because its completely made of a crystalline substance called Skyglass. Home of the Alvina of the Stars, cultural mecca of knowledge seekers, and rife with Ethaefal, this remote city shimmers with its own unique light.

2nd Day of Winter 512 A.V

Alduin Ancienti was beside himself with excitement. Yesterday he was supposed to follow up on his hunch with his finding in the book. But as he made his way to the Library he ran into a fellow Reimancer on the streets who was not adept enough to handle a fiery blaze that had started at someones house and caught the building next to it.

With both of them and few others to weather the flames they were able to put it out. Alduin would send in a report about that, he had to whenever he used his powers for his job. Now that the problem was done and over with. It was time to see if there was nay merit to Alduins craziness. If there was no substance, he wouldn't be there for no reason.

He decided to wear his robes today. He thought since he was going to a very important place he would dress like a professional wizard that he was. It was also now common practice for him to Shield himself every morning, and redraw the glyphs on his arms and legs. He had forgot to this morning so he began to say some incantations in the Ancient Language, it helped him shield his entire body.

Entering the establishment in full stride with his supplies, he made his way to a nearby booth. He went to the librarian without missing a beat. "Welcome to the Bharani Library, how can I help you?" As usual there was a lady behind the table, but was absolutely gorgeous. So Alduin was taken aback for a moment. But he quickly shrugged it off so she wouldn't notice.

"Yes you can. I was looking for information on inhabitants who were living in the Misty Peaks. Time frame would be maybe the last century. I'm sure there's not many recorded there." He tried making a joke out of it but immediately stopped for he felt it was corny.

[Bharani Library] Beginning of the End II

The gorgeous lady was of human mix that he couldn't tell personally. It looked like he would never find out as she gave him a questioning look before she got up to get what asked for. She gave him a piercing look. He looked down in embarrassment. "Here you go sir."

She handed him small old book covered with little bits of dust as she had tried to wipe it off. "Thank you," Alduin said normally abandoning his flirting demanor. To his surprise she smiled and replied with, "Your welcome." Alduin grabbed the book from her and smiled slightly as he turned away.

I'll be back for her another time. He silently promised himself in his head. He picked one of the many tables to do his research. The log book was small indeed seeing as there weren't many people recorded staying there. He also began to do his routine glyph making. It was simple now since began to do it regularly. The simpler ones that is, the basic glyph was a starting point before he tried making one a little bit more complicated.

However his curiosity got the better of him. Taking another break to look into the log book, he saw that there weren't that many people that actually lived out in the Misty Peaks but just had cabins that they had near the city. It was dangerous to be on the pathway because of the Zith. They were merciless when they wanted to be.

No one would be missed if they went missing along that path. It was understood that there were dangers there if you weren't being escorted. As he went through the book he was starting to lose face as there weren't any people that actually lived there but just owned some small establishment that didn't last long and they were tore down.

Then he came upon a person, who was labeled a mage. The name was Adonis Humus and he was the only one who had residency there and actually stayed. It said that he passed a way a short time ago. Also that he was a very adept Wizard. Probably why he was brave enough to stay in the Misty Peaks even with all those dangers. Strange.

So there was someone that actually lived there. He looked at the full details on his logs. With some goods news they had described where he was positioned at within the Misty Peaks. Better yet a way to get there but probably not to the doorstep. However the place they described where he was stationed was deep in the Peaks and in an area he was unfamiliar with.

But he needed to know more about this Adonis. He seemed to be a very well adept wizard, but that's no reason for such secrecy as in to live deep in the Peaks near the ocean. Where any manner of creature could be. Why else would a wizard secret himself away and choose danger over anything else? Alduin could think of only one reason. To hide something.

He continued to make his rudimentary glyph circles becoming tired of the repetition. But he was actually getting better. So maybe he could finally try different forms later. But until then it was back to careful drawing, and making sure his circles were near perfect.

After using the rest of his parchment he went back up to the desk to return the log. But then he made a more immediate request, "Do you have the book on lost artifacts?"

She gave him a questioning look. Alduin had already given something to library when he saved them from a spreading fire not too long ago. So her hesitation was purely based on remembering him as one of the given. She seemed to recall and she returned the log back and disappeared for a decent amount of time.

It was almost a half a chime before she returned saying, "This book cannot be checked only read here." Alduin nodded sending her the vibe yet once again. But she was serious about this. The quality of the book was indeed very rare, and very old. He could tell because the title was in the Ancient Tongue. It read, Tools of Power in the common language.

He took the book and began to read the book back and forward. Learning much about the great inventions since Pre-Valterrian that he had never heard of before. The first covered a large section the Anvil of Souls. A great magecrafter named Aleesha Tallshade was the creater. Apparently she had done something short of a miracle.

Getting the God Lhex to bless her item with his gnosis. Now it had the ability to create something called an Outling. But there wasn't information on an Outling except that they were powerful divine beings, something much greater than morals.

Very interesting. He thought. The book however only gave the last location of when these items were actually rumored to be. There wasn't much luck with their location, they were not similar in description to the peaks. So he continued his research. He had a gut feeling that what he was looking for was somewhere here in this book.

Drinking in this knowledge was exactly what invigorated him about being a mage. There were a lot of artifacts that were uncalled for over the centuries. But just because the book had the name of Lost Artifacts, didn't necessarily tell you where they were located but it was a good place to start when you were trying to figure things out. After a minute however he was starting to lose face.

What exactly was he looking for? What would he if his wild assumption was even remotely correct. He was a Wizard. An a professional wizard at that so he had to still his mind from such things. The hunt for knowledge would lead you in the path of danger eventually.

That was why he was persistent in his studies, like with his glyphing ability. Even with the researching he always practiced. Reading more runes was in his nature seeing as he was proficient in the Ancient Tongue. Glyph's were like the written for of it so he related well. But it still took him incredibly long to draw the simplest of glyphs.

He migrated from research to drawing glyphs. But then something caught his eye. He was on the Divine section of the book. There a short passage was on a particular item that hasn't been seen in a very long time. The Kasai-Dala Mirror. The mirror was said to give the user one wish if it was in its power. Though it was noted to have had a dark history with its wishes but the wish nevertheless came true. It was rumored that it could possibly be on the west coast.

But no one ever confirmed such tales. There wasn't much to go on but if this wasn't it he really didn't know. What he did know was that there was a mage hiding something somewhere. Whatever it was he investigate and get to the bottom of it. He got back up and packed his belongings. Returning to the desk he gave the rare book back to the lady behind the front desk.

"Thank you for your time. Hopefully I can see you again when your not busy wth books." He tried to say it as cool as possible, but his nervousness was obvious. She caught that and smiled slightly, trying not blush herself.

"I would like that. Come by later tonight. I will be off."

Hook, line and sinker. His first date, maybe things were looking up for the young wizard.

Notes: Excellent job! Just a few suggestions. The devil is in the details, as they say. The more you delve into what kind of glyphs you're making or the specific passages you're reading, the more experience I am able to award you. :) If you have any concerns, please PM me.
