Birthdays?

Okay, random question. I'm not sure about this one.

Are birthdays celebrated in Mizahar culture? Is it customary to get people birthday gifts? Or is it merely a way of counting age?

Perhaps it differs from culture to culture? I know, in the real world, there was one culture that made everyone's birthday New Years Day. So everyone was considered a year older on the same day.

I've just never been sure if PC birthdays are a "thing" in Miz culture. Are there parties? Boozing?

Laz is turning the big 3 this season. So I'm very curious! Not that he actually considers it to be an actual "birthday"...

I know several races have coming of age ceremonies.. but I'm not sure if birthdays are celebrated.

Semi-recently I had a thread occurring on Duvalyon's birthday, and he mentioned having a tradition of meeting his cousin for dinner and, I think, getting drunk. But it was never referred to directly as a "birthday", just "today I'm 23."

Laz never said happy birthday or got him gifts. He just said, you're younger than I thought, and then there was some male bonding.

So I suppose I've treated it as semi-special day, but not as big of a deal as it can be in real life. At most I'd call it a birthdate, in character. And only as a technical term.

I was just wondering if there was some standard in Mizahar I wasn't aware of.
