Well, my name is Airil... always a good start. I'm completely new to play-by-post but I have been RPing for a number of years through IM and primarily SecondLife. I even ran my own RP (future dystopic) group for a short but fierce six months. Due to the rather time consuming nature of such live RPs and because of the difficulty I had finding other serious players/writers I thought I had left my RP days behind me, a sad fact for an addict such as myself. Happily, my husband gave me the idea of trying forums. I typed in roleplay forum and POP, there was Mizahar.
To say the least I am absolutely delighted to find such a unique and immersive world to play in, though at the same time I am thoroughly overwhelmed by the scope.
That being said, I am a writer in RL, trying to get that first book done... One of the four I've started will eventually be finished, I hope. I love fleshing out characters and writing stories but I love it even more when someone else is doing it with me. I don't seem to stick to any particular genre, letting the story premises guide me where they will. I fully believe that once a character is created, and allowed to grow a little, they will often take control and live their own life with their creator only necessary, from that point on, to continue typing out their story.
I generally play timid/anxious characters (for my main character) who, if they aren't actually a child, are very childlike in their innocence. I prefer to play as a support to other characters because I feel it really adds dimension to have visible connections to other people and it's usually easier for my characters to interact with the world around them when done so through someone familiar.
I'm still reading through the lore and building my character sheet but it shouldn't be much longer before it's all done and I'm ready to get my feet wet. I'll likely be back looking for ideas and feedback before I finish though.
The only problem I foresee, and the problem that has plagued me in the past, is that I am just as timid and anxious as my characters. It's a personal character flaw that I'm working on getting rid of but for now it sometimes leaves me on the sidelines when I'd rather be out on the field. So if you do find yourself in a position to interact with my character, please feel free. I'm likely just sitting around looking for someone to notice me anyways.

Also, its overdue that someone plays a Konti that's a shy anxious person. I designed them to be very pacifistic and harmless, but we seem to have a game full of violent weapon's wielding ones.
