Xi rolled his shoulders lightly as he watched her before him standing still for a long moment not a motion to be seen however. Xi watched ehr what happened though Xi knew about from his time chatting with zandelia. Xi tilted his head lightly as she braced herself against her staff, clearly she was a mage of sorts and this he knew well. "Had your fill of reading me with auristics ? I've told you, I've seen a lot and there is very little which can surprise me, everything else...I just adjust too." Xi's eye;s firmed the fluid water like calmness swapped for a cold and cut sapphire harness. Xi rolled his hands lightly and stood watching her, still Xi smiled lightly a small near arrogant bravado grin meeting her ghoulish one. It was clear she was something he'd never seen before, however he had seen monsters before and a small one held little sway over him. "If your trying to scare me your doing a poor job. I will not give you y power but i will help increase yours. I'm a teacher. Not something to be siphoned off." Xh took s step forwards lowering himself into a stance he was familiar with, mostly a defensive one. He got the feeling he should protect himself, however this time he was being careful. As she spoke again he smiled. "I agree to teach you, in exchange for a creature like the on you carry. Yes." Xi smiled and then set his mind to work, snapping his eye's onto her and evaluating everything he could. He would not be caught off guard unless it was something he couldn't quite measure. He'd have to be truly surprised to be snapped off course.

Silver tongued wretch... Evalin cursed within her mind, How dare he evade my words.

He shows he is no dullard, and that his wit is as sharp as his skills. Take it not as an insult, but rather a gage of his character.

The smile slowly faded as Evalin narrowed her eyes, Yes... He is far to quick to be trapped with mere word play. If I wish to truly gain his cooperation then I must use... other methods.

Evalin quietly watched as Ximal prepared his stance, tilting her head as she let her body regain its strength. No hint of the smile could be seen now as she leaned on her staff once more, "You say such curious things. A creature within a child's body approaches and smiles and you think they try to scare you? I do wonder what has created a mind that thinks as your does. What trials have you faced that make you paranoid of someone who is so obviously weaker than you." A small smile returned as she claimed to be weaker than Ximal. But that should be obvious right? How could something that had a body such as Evalin's possibly hope to stand against a person such as Ximal who, from his stance, quite obviously had seen battle and bloodshed before?

Again Evalin cursed his evasion of her first line of twisted words... And for his intelligence Evalin pledged she would repay him three fold. Though she noted Ximal's own wording of the agreement as well. Stepping back slowly Evalin raised an eyebrow, "You wish to begin our lessons here? Why so suddenly?"

Xi smiled as he looked at the smaller person before him. Xi smiled as he watched her, some what of a look of scorn on her face, only a vague flicker but his eye's were sharp enough to catch that. The smile of hers had faded and Xi'd learnt to be cautious around others as a thanks from zand he'd probably buy her a bottle of wine later as a show of thanks. Xi smirked at her words. A creature within a child's body ? So he was right. Xi glanced down at her and responded with his own way. "With my size every one is smaller than me, bar a few, so i always view those with less stature than me as a possible threat, especially those who admit to being not what they appear. As you've just said, your a creature in a child's body as i assumed. No child speaks in such a way as you. So tell me, what's your true purpose here in learning from me. People such as yourself view those of us without, abilities like you." Xi's smirk stayed plastered to his face as he watched her raise an eye brow and ask about why he intend to begin their lesson there. "This is the city of fighters, two people can fight her freely and not draw much attention. Even if it is one such as you and one such as myself. Still if your not comfortable here we shall go elsewhere. Also that creature over your shoulder are there other ones like it ? Or is that the only one that i may posses? I apologize for my curiosity, but i like a friend of mine like to have all the facts." Xi straightened up keeping himself in his "formless" stance, on guard just in case this had been a ruse to disarm him from action.

"I concede you the point child." Evalin said, stepping back a few steps and adjusting her cloak.

Tsenrika bobbed close to her ear, Your lips be too lose and your actions unthoughtful. I pray that you find sense and back down while you may.

With a hand Evalin waved the orb away, Be silent now. That which is set in motion cannot be slowed, only its course altered. Fear you not, for I am not quite as helpless as you might think.

Absently Evalin touched her cheek as she remembered the blow dealt her not too long ago, "Indeed I see that what you speak is truth... very well here will do fine." She smiled, "And let us save our questions for later shall we?"

Evalin closed her eyes, pulling from memory a diagram she had envisioned so many times it had become engrained in her mind, carved into the fabric of her consciousness. Within her she called her power to stir, summoned her djed to swirl and flow, moving in and out to press against her skin. A thin stream of res poured from her back, collecting underneath her cloak. The heat wave-like cloud of res would go mostly unnoticed unless one knew to look for it. Finally she pulled forth a bit more res, summoning it to collect in the long locks of her hair, twisting and creating stands that mixed with the black locks already present.

She had never ventured into combat like this before. Always she had stayed back, allowed her minions to fight for her. Yet now she saw the folly in doing this for so many centuries. When she became incapacitated, or lost the use of her magic she was weak. She was helpless, she could not defend herself. It was time... long since past time that she learned how to fight for herself. No longer would she allow others to deal the final blow. She would strike them down with her own hands. WIth this man's aid she would gain what she had never realized she lacked.

Evalin would not make the same mistake as last time, and so she prepared before beginning. Her eyes snapped open and she raised her staff, brow furrowing as she slammed it down on the ground. Tongues of fire lept out from the tip, burning the ground and drawing a large circle in scorch marks. Quickly Evalin cut her finger on the sharp edge of her staff, flinging her hand out so the black ichor would land on the circle and then tossed her staff aside where it would not be in danger of damage.

Just as the black drop fell, landing on the outer ring of the circle, there came a rushing noise as loud as a thundering waterfall. Waves of djed, flashing colors and light began to rush from the outer edge of the circle, cascading down to connect in the center where it dipped into a dark endless void.

Just as the drop fell and the noises began, Evalin suddenly moved as well. Her speed was supernatural, a blur to the normal man's eye as she came around the opening portal, rushing toward Ximal leaving a trail of dust in her wake. She hissed and curled her fingers into claws, pulling the res hidden in her cloak to gather and trail beside her swinging hand.

"Hakin!" The res burst into flame as she hurled the ball of fire at Ximal, darting to the man's side as the ball of fire hurtled straight toward him. Evalin was no master fighter. She was no tactician, and she was less than a novice when it came to fighting. She knew her only chance would be to take him while he was surprised, before he could compensate and adjust to her speed. Thus as she ran she hissed another spell under her breath, circling him to find his back, building the res and calling it to collect in both palms, readying the spell as she watched for Ximal's next move.

While the fighting commenced a large, deformed hand would appear from the portal, grasping at the sides of the ring as it struggled to pull its great shape out of the swirling energy. Another hand would appear, and the creature would begin to pull itself out. Djed fell down its form like water as large shoulders appeared, and a small head came into view.

OOCI will finish the description of the Diverse summoning in the next post ^.^

Well at least Xi had earned a point in the arguments. Xi sighed as she spoke about him being right. Then she said that they should save their questions. Then within the flash of an instant the floor began to erupt in flame as she slammed the end of her staff into the ground. Dammit he should have seen this coming, was it too much to expect a eldritch creature to fight fairly for a change ? Xi slid back as she vanished from view as the ground burst into fire and flames before him. Then a roaringly thunderous noise came racing forth. Dear sweet gods above what the petch now? I nearly die once, then i mean an amazing woman, now i run the risk of death again...You assholes had better give me something more this time ! Xi now fell into his combat stance and fully prepared himself using his own impressive speed to help him here. He wasn't as fast as her, but then again he wasn't slow by anyone's count. stills as she fell back the void infront of him erupted and bellowed forth with a towering column of light green now piercing out over it. A near black vortex lie in it's centre but Xi's attention only paid mind to that for a few moments before he snapped back to view the little girl.

Just in time to let one fire ball zip past him narrowly missing his face but close enough that he could feel the hairs of his beard on the right hand size slightly singed by the heat of the fire. He sucked down a breath hsi eye's now focused on her awaiting her next fire ball. Petching, mother-petching, gods dammed fire reimancers! I deal with one of these before and i'll do it again. His hands tightened into fists again and he watched her, nut where'd she...Petch it!. Xi caught sight of her at his side and pushed himself away on his left leg away from her lining her up again with her portal and the new beasty that began to erupt forth from it. Xi smirked and looked at the monster...Well...He's no gergor but he's big eno-oh my my gods look at that tiny head! Xi couldn't help but start laughing visible as he spoke back to her. "Tell me, what's your name reimancer. And what's "Tiny's" name too ?" Xi balled his hands and watched his now revealed mage opponent and her "little" pet. Xi took a deep breath and leered at her. Right now was planning time. Soon he'd respond. But he'd garnered some information. She was very fast, and was a mage. If he wanted...he could use his magic and really show her what he could do, mages deserved a magical countermand. But for the moment he'd bide his time and watch, even if eh could smell singed hair.

Fight fair? What a ridicules notion. What utter nonsense, foolishness it was to even entertain such a thought. In combat there was no fair. There was no honor, no right nor wrong. There was simply death, and those that escaped it. It was not about how you fought, but whether or not you survived to claim victory.

Evalin was disadvantaged. She could see it now, perhaps more so than even before.

He sees you... an observation that needed no words, for Evalin saw how the man kept her from gaining his back, His movements, his actions. He did not flinch despite your efforts. He was not thrown off guard. This bodes ill for you, for it is clear who has the greater battle experience...

Petch... She was outclassed, out experienced. There was simply no way she could endure a prolonged conflict. Even she, a novice in all things battle, knew this much.

I cannot let him get close... She thought, collecting res in her palms as she found her back to the open portal once more, Then a change in tactic is needed.

Using her momentum she quickly circled around the gateway once more, putting the now fully risen creature between herself and Ximal. It stood a good three inches taller than Ximal himself. Its left arm was large and difformed, while its right was more or less normal in size. The left hand was also missing two fingers. Slowly it stepped out of the ring, shuffling forward with a distant, rather vague expression on its face.

"My child, how amusing you choose to speak to me now while in the midsts of combat. I do not know if that is confidence or foolishness." Evalin laughed, eyes burning red from across the portal. This was what she needed. Time. Time to prepare, and she narrowed her eyes at the back of Diverse. She could see them, the chains that bound the creature to the portal, to her will, invisible to all but those who had the true power of sight. At a thought the chains tighten, and the deformed man roared, stumbling forward toward Ximal. The Diverse was not fast, but Evalin knew that what it lacked in speed it made up for in raw strength. Perhaps she could buy just a bit of time with this, and then from the portal another hand emerged, smaller and thinner as it grasped at the sides of the circle to pull itself up as well.

The res Evalin collected in her palms swirled and stirred by her power, and Evalin hissed a stream of words neither common nor ancient tongue as she stared daggers at Ximal. Flinging her hands out she sent the balls of res flying around the portal, adding to the mass of energy the rest of the concealed res from within her cloak until they made two miss sharpen balls about the size of her torso. Twisting her fingers into claws she guided the power with her arms, directing the res to swing around the Diverse and head directly for Ximal.

"Hakin!" The res ignite as the two new fireballs streaked toward Ximal, coming at him at an angle from either side while the diverse lumbered at him from the front, its large left arm raising to strike.

As soon as the res was ignited Evalin felled the pull on her strength, could already feel the light headiness coming upon her, yet she could not stop no. No... Now was time to create her greatest spell. Clapping her hands together in front of her she hissed long and low under her breath, pulling more djed from its resting place to conjure another large stream of res to pour out from every pore on her body until she was surrounded by a cloud of heat waves twice as wide as she was tall. The second diverse was also pulling itself free, this one more normal sized, though his bones bulged beneath his skin, twisting his skeleton into an odd spiny structure.

Tsenrika flew over the battle field, observing, always observing, and watching closely what Ximal might do next. If his master was to survive, he had to do everything in his power to keep her two steps ahead at all times.

Evalin knew this was a gamble. She was throwing everything at Ximal from the very start, and if it didn't work... Well she did not dwell upon that. She did not seek a showage of strength. She wanted to eradicate Ximal completely. She wanted his blood. She wanted him to hurt so that she could once more feel powerful. Evalin was dangerous, because this was not a lesson to her. This was mortal combat. Her pride commanded she give him all she had. Thus she would see him burn if he was not careful.

OOCMost of what happened was in very quick succession. Evalin is burning through her reserves very fast in an effort to completely overpower Ximal. In the next post the 2nd Diverse will be freed and start heading toward Ximal as well. That one is quicker, about average human speed, and is out for blood as is his brother. Let me know if I need to change anything. This is my first time using summoning in combat so don't hesitate to PM if need be ^.^

Xirolled his shoulders watching the behemoth of deformity of a person pull it's way free of the portal it had clambered through. It was taller than him sure, but still not as big as gregor. Xi smirked and highly doubted it would be as strong either. Having said that given it's size and it's shambling nature it would probably just as fast as greg. Xi smirked, so she intended to fight two or possibly even three on one. Xi just closed his hand into a fist before saying whilst smiling. "Bring it, I've fought bigger than that thing, faster and stronger too. Though never someone quite so fast as you. Also i like to talk in combat...It's fun, and it surprises people when i do something drastic." Xi smiled and watched her and her shambling creature. There was an open portal, a big monstie, a little demon which threw fireballs. And possibly. Given the fact the portal hadn't closed...There would be more of the nasty bastards on the way. Still Xi calmed himself and assessed the situation. Then a loud roar emitted from the ugly bugger, as it stumbled towards him. Xi smiled. "Sure come towards me...I'll show you exactly what i can do. Magic against magic." Xi began to pull djed down and into his body. Bringing it close to the surface and holding it in the muscles he needed, his quads his biceps and trice's his back muscles and his shoulders. A complicated move but what he'd need for this was extra froce not speed. And that was only a small price.

Xi let out a slow breath and watched, patiently. then her word's pierced the air, as she launched two fire balls at him, coming around the shambling monster. Xi smirked and brought his thumb up to his nose and wiped it slowly. Fast, but not the right choice. Your herding me where i want to go. Xi smirked and then dive rolled forwards crouching low upon landing and keeping his body tight letting the two fire balls crash into each other and then Xi spoke slowly and calmly in a very steady voice, using it to focus himself and power through his attack. "The light after a trial...Judgement White!" Xi rocketed himself up his arm extended bursting the djed forth from his legs to help launch the big monster off the ground by agood foot and into the air by it's shin. Xi then pushed forwards and used the djed in his back muscles to push the beast over flipping it mid air, before finally unleashing the djed in his bicep and tricep to drill the bastard's head into the ground coupled with it's own weight, ig this thing lived it was paralysed, if not...Well it wasn't alive, or it was one shyke of an ungodsly strong monster.

As the beast impacted the ground Xi smiled broad and wide. Looking deep into Eva's eyes with ones that were a mix of blood lust and malice, but cold and hard. He brought his smile open to flash his canine one side. Almost the smile of a predator more than a man. Standing back to full height now he towered over her having proven what he could do. A slow breath snaking out through his teeth sounding almost akin to a hiss. He spoke slowly now, looking at ehr, he was still a good seven feet away when he spoke. "Go on...Try another fire ball. By the time you ready it i'll have pounded you into that wall behind you. Call forth another monster...And i'll crush it like this one here-" to emphasize his point he kicked the think in the head with his steel plated boot. "-I'll also be having the word. Hakin...Translated as well though i can guess it either means, ignite or fire. Now...If you truly are old...Then you should understand this." Xi clenched his fists and banged his chest once, not hard nough to damage him self but hard enough for the thud to be heard. Before bellowing like a person he'd met in the aperture. "Djas vasat!" Xi kept that predatory smile, now an air of pure malice emanating from him...That shroud of pain and anger, no longer a shroud.

Tsenrika flew over head, always watching, always observing, and as the first diverse was taken out he noticed, he saw...

Beware. He moves like no mortal man. He commands some form of magic... But what kind? Was it simply a physical enhancement magic? Was it one that manipulated the muscles, the environment, or something else entirely?

It did not matter though, for Evalin had not the time to concern herself with such trifling matters. As the first Diverse lumbered toward Ximal she was already preparing. Her djed whipped about in a frenzy, pressing beneath her skin and being expelled as a vaporous res that surrounded her body. She added to the mass, compiled, packed it. The witch ignored the beginning of whispers at the back of her mind, banished the fog from her mind as she used her own iron will to maintain focused. She had one chance. One chance to succeed, and she had to prepare quickly. There was only one spell that could aid her... She had never prepared it so quickly before, and she knew it would not be a masterpiece, but then one did not need beauty to create destruction.

As the man began his movements Evalin's res compilations had grown into a large cloud that surrounded her, distorting the air like heat waves. Evalin's mind raged as the whispers became shouts, begging, pleading, DEMANDING she cast more, and Evalin gave in without a moments hesitation. With a dramatic air Evalin threw her hands apart, hissing under her breath, "Shi." The large mass of res, after a short moment, divided in half, becoming two equal parts on either side of Evalin's body. At this point Evalin saw her first Diverse fall, and heard the warnings from Tsenrika.

"Shi-kai." Each of the two large masses suddenly divided in half once more. With a force of will born of centuries of endless struggle, Evalin commanded two of the masses elongated, stretching to twice Evalin's body length and as thick as her waist. Evalin's mind focused on the ends, widening out one end on each stretched mass until it formed something of a head, a large mouth and the semblance of fangs and eyes. It was not an art work, nor a masterpiece. Nothing like the boy could create, yet Evalin knew the effects that such dramatics could have on an opposing man's courage...

"Nai-kai." The last two masses divided further until five roughly even masses surrounded Evalin, then as her eyes flickered over the portal, and the rising body from it, Evalin let her inner will shape the res into near perfect round spheres. Evalin could not help but think of Tsenrika, as she often used him as a model for this part of the spell.

Evalin's body trembled, her mind fluctuated as she was nearly deafened by the whispers now, and still she continued on. Eyes hard and cold, mind clear for the moment, though she could feel the creeping delusions already beginning. She need only focus now. Focus, maintain the res, keep it under control. She would not have to worry for much longer. No more than a chime or two more, and all would be ended. yes.. Just a chime or two. She need only maintain her sanity for that short amount of time...

"Meio." Evalin set the 5 spheres circling slowly about her, lazily drifting each about the size of a man's fist.

Ximal stood across from her now, the 2nd Diverse already charging, free of the portal. Evalin knew it would not last long. It was just a distraction, to buy just a moment longer. Just a moment longer to gather strength for the final touch...

Evalin crossed her arms in front of her, palms out toward Ximal.

Wait, Evalin if you complete this spell--

"Hakin!"

Suddenly the spell burst to life, and the preparations came to fruition. The final word resounded over the space, filled with power, with purpose with meaning. It was a spell, it was a word of power, but it was even more than just that. Ximal had guess right. Hakin was to ignite. To ignite the flame of her magic, to ignite the fire of her passion, to awaken her inner power... Hakin, to ignite this battle in full force.

The outer layer of the res became lit with flame, the inner source fulling the fire. Suddenly Evalin was surrounded by 5 burning orbs slowly revolving around her as if she were the center of her own solar system. Two flaming serpents, mouths agape to reveal fiery fangs curled around her, twining around the little figure as she stood in the center of her greatest master piece.

"Vaknuizapatl." Legacy of Fire "Twin Serpent Devourer."

Now! Act now!

Evalin hissed under her breath, throwing out her hands to either side of her body, and the flaming serpents responded in kind, twisting their bodies so that either serpent's head rested over each of Evalin's outstretched hands.

The witch thrust her hands forward, palms out, "Donmai!" Evalin let the word become infused with her intent, filled it with meaning as she guided each serpent to circle around the portal to come at Ximal from either side. Rearing, as if to strike, each opened its mouth wide as a long tongue of flame was ejected, center still res, directly toward Ximal. With a his Evalin called the inner res in this attack to swirl, to circle faster and faster within its flaming outer layer, and with a final his Evalin transformed half of the center into fire, the other half into wind which expanded into the same swirling pattern as the res had taken before. The result was a large, expanding wall of fire coming at Ximal from either direction. The heat of the flames burning hotter than before by the expanding pressure due to the air within. Each serpent lost a foot of their length in this first attack, though the effects on Evalin's mind would be far greater by the time this fight ended.

Only... two chimes... Evalin narrowed her bluring eyes as she held onto this one thought, I must press with all I have... for just two chimes...

Ok intimidation factor complete...why the heck isn't she scared ? Xi watched eva just make intricate movements as he watched the second diverse sprout forth from the gaping void between them. Xi tilted his head to the side snapping the crick in his neck, and brought his hands up. Sucking down a deep breath Xi smiled at the second diverse. You're smaller than your friend but your by no means tiny. So that probably means your quicker. Xi rolled his shoulders and brought his djed down into his limbs again. Filling them slowly with what he needed, targeting both power and rotation muscles only. He needed to make sure that when he, took this bastard out that he could still be able to dodge any further fire balls. Xi watched the best before him dart to his right and try and punch him in teh stomach. Xi turned to the side and without any excess force brought his right arm across to punched the bastard in the face. sending it flipping over but...It wasn't his punch that had done that.

No the beast flipped and landed on it's feet with no damage. then came at him again. Multiple jabs and assaults from either side and the from forcing Xi to retreat a few steps just to avoid being hit until one caught him in the chest as he crashed into the wall behind him. Alright no more mister nice guy. Xi rolled his shoulder and deflected an initial blow turning the best completely around before Xi spoke, a low and almost growling voice. "The One that drinks thirst...Water Blue!" xi let the djed in his arms burst out and punch his fists into the beasts shoulders before it could move, sending it's chest tumbling forwards and with a second motion of his arms rotating, he latched hold of it's shoulder from behind before bringing his knee up into it's spine, a flux enhanced knee delivering a sharp digging blow into it's spinal column. Followed by a loud and almost stomach sickening crack. As that beast dropped to the floor Xi lifted his eye's to see eva still preforming some odd intricate gestures until both of her palms lay across each other. Then that word again rang out like a vicious blast. Hakin...What the...Oh holy petch, what the petching petch are those!

Xi witnessed eva pull the two snakes around her into existence. Two fiery beasts long and lithe with hue vicious fangs. Xi was them crawl over her hands like living beings, and instantly his confidence was sapped like someone had just turned on a facet to his will. His bravado though held up. Though now he was worried, this was now no longer a light combat this was a death match. Fine if she was taking it that seriously he'd be having that magic off her too. Xi rolled his fingers into fists t the thought of that and smiled widely lowing his head, keeping his smile wide, almost bearing his fangs like a wild animal stalking it's prey. Wait...Was he actually enjoying himself ? Yes, he was, simple fights against others served as tools but in situations where he had to risk everything he came to life the most. A slow breath crawled it's way into him through his teeth as he pulled his hands up but crouched lower as the twin snakes came at him from each side. "The twin serpent devourer" Good, show me your best...I'll let you have the same! You intend to wash me away in a wave of flame? I'll show you what happens to those who use fire against those who feed on the fires of combat! Xi hunkered down and watched as the snakes turned into crushing walls of flame. Now his natural strength was being amplified with adrenaline he didn't need to pull forth as much flux. Taking another deep breath. He stilled his mind and suddenly the world seemed to slow.

Xi lifted his hands as the world around him faded, all the distractions left him, the world drained of colour and he focused on what was a head of him. He felt his djed run down him and everything seemed to be heightened for a short while. The walls closed in on him and still held firm until. He reached down and picked up the paralysed diverse tossing the smaller one into the wall of flame coming to his right. whist at the same time stepping forwards into the blazing maw next to the fallen first gargantuan monster. Circling his arms around that lifeless body Xi used both his adrenaline enhanced strength and his djed empowered muscles to lift that hulking body up and pull that one to his left letting it take the full brunt of the djed wall and act like a shield. Having used the smaller diverse to dispel the wall to his right leaving a smouldering cracked smoking hunk of burned meat in it wake. The right snake wall was no longer an issue as he used the left one to bar the next wall feeling the heat of the flames pass through the diverse's body he was glad he didn't get caught by it.

As the wall of flames cleared Xi dropped the now blackened hunk of meat to his side and noticed his cloak aflame, before tearing it off of his shoulders and tossing it to his right. He then stared back at Evalin. He let his breath hiss out though his teeth having held it to help with his speed. Drinking down another one, he looked like some kind of monster amongst the blackened flames, the red scarf around his forehead soaking up the sweat he produced form the heat, making him look almost at home amongst the fire. The polished steel fo his gauntlets and vambraces along with his steel coated boots reflected the flames. Making him look like his hands were of the fire themselves, with the reflected pattern of the dancing of Evalin's flame. Xi had survived if only just, but he'd felt a some nasty bruising from that prior punch from the diverse and now it was catching up with him. Still the adrenaline was blocking out the pain signals for the time being as Xi stepped forwards slowly. The fire glinting and reflecting in his eye's adding to them making them blaze alight with the fries of both fury and determination. Right now he was closer to a monster than a man.

"If i hadn't had two meat shields...I would have been cooked there...So thank you for supplying them." Xi's lips held apart as the wind picked up slightly and fanned the flames into a higher life. She could try to fight further but if she did she was doing her self more harm and Xi could see it. He saw what happened to the previous reimancer with his hair bursting into flame with his consistent use and so Xi spoke, not condescendingly but with a tone more of worry, even though she'd just thrown pretty much ivak's very breath at him. "IF i were you, i'd call an end to this...before both of us end-up hurt beyond reason for a simple assessment of abilities." Xi still stood a fair distance from her, mostly out of self preservation and slowly the world regained it's colour it's sound and above all it's heat. Xi new began to feel the sharp pain in his chest of his cracked rib and then noticed it wasn't just one, but that bastard had possibly cracked three ribs on the same side. Xi was able to continue if he absolutely had too, but eva...from the way she was looking might not have been able too.

Listen... listen to the whispers. Hear them, feel them... Obey them... Evalin's eyes blurred for a moment, and she saw Ximal's lips moving, yet she could not make out his words, LIsten... Let it flow. Let the magic free, release it all. Burn... burn him. Burn everything. Collapse the world in flame and reduce all to ash. Do not stop, do not falter, do not pause. BURN!

Evalin gritted her teeth, the whispers becoming shouts in her head as she plunged deep within her to pull all she had to the surface. Her first strike failed, but her second would not. Twisting her fingers in nots Evalin called the roatating orbs around her to spend faster. Clenching a fist she would draw her hand back, then thrust it forward, palm out hissing, "Donmei!" Her fraying mind reached out, grasping hold of two of the rotating orbs and flung them forward, sending them streaking at Ximal head on. They twirled, rotating around one another as they approached in a spiraling patter. As the neared Evalin pushed the res that comprised their centers to swirl, rotating faster and faster within in preparation to create a similar effect with the fire wall. However, because of her weakening grasp on control, some of the air res and fire res mixed, combining so that, when she uttered "Hakin!" instead of a sudden expanding burst of flame, there was a flash and a sizzling sound as all the res was transmuted at once. The fire was stripped away from the outside of the spell, leaving in its place a streak of lightning, small in size, yet as it approached it would be enough to make a person's hair stand on end with the force of the electricity.

For a moment Evalin felt surprise flood her mind as she saw the electric blue spell sail across the gap toward her opponent, but then the whispers shouted once more, Finish! Burn him! Burn him!

Sliding one foot back to brace herself, Evalin threw her arms out, twisting them at angles as she brought the fiery snakes under her control once more. Waving her arms in dramatic fashions she let her motions act like conduits to control the movements of the snakes, causing them to encircle Ximal, tails entangling in each other as the surrounded him in a column of twisting fire. The two heads reared, mouths opening wide once more as the prepared to project the wall of flame once more, this time straight down on Ximal's head.

Overhead Tsenrika suddenly moved, his entire body changing, shifting to form sharp angles as he went from a smooth sphere to a pointy pyramid in form, while he grew two or three sizes until he was nearly 2 feet across. Then, spinning like a top, he streaked across the opening, colliding with Evalin with such force that she was lifted from her feet to land squarely on her back.

The instant Tsenrika made contact all of Eva's control was lost on her spells. The portal collapsed, folding in on itself and leaving a smudged and destroyed circle in it place. The orbs of fire vanished in a puffs of smoke, and the fire serpents suddenly dispurshed, leaving noting but curling smoke in their wake.

Evalin lay motionless on the ground, her eyes staring blankly up at the sky as the voices raged in her head to keep casting, keep fighting, to burn all around her. Over her floated Tsenrika, once more his original size and shape as he slowly revolved around Evalin's body.

"This combat has ended. She can continue no longer." he said, this time out loud and in common so that Ximal could hear him as well.

OOCI simply assumed Ximal somehow dodged the lighting bolts. Let me know if I need to edit anything :)

Wretched Aura: As a Wretched One Evalin possesses an unnatural aura about her that causes unease in those who get too close. It can come as a prickle of the hair on the back of the neck, a sense of 'wrongness' about her. How people experience it is different depending on their personality and how they handle the unnatural and unknown. Animals tend to become more agitated, more easily sensing how wrong Evalin is and often avoiding contact with her.
