There was nothing more in the world Sylkra wanted than to sit there, like that, kissing away all her worries. The bond between them pulsed with affection and love, and Sylk could feel it strongly. After she spoke, Daniel stated into her eyes for a while, and Sylk stared right back into his own. In his pupil, she could see her own self, her reflection. “I would sooner perish then be parted from you, though we would meet in whatever comes after," he said finally. The thought seeped through Sylk's skin. After he said it, Sylk couldn't stop thinking out it. What happened in the end?
Sylk got distracted from her thoughts when Daniel spoke again. "Are you feeling better?" he asked.
"Oh," Sylk said stupidly. She had forgotten about the cold. Miraculously, she did feel a lot better though. "I feel almost normal now," she told him, smiling. "How about you?" she asked. "How do you feel?" She put a finger on his temple, and gently glided it down to his chin.
