The Arrival

[Celeste Empyrean]

It was soon after the transformation when Celeste realized her clothes had piled on the floor. Being a Sugar Glider, she couldn't do much to pick it up, but her horse certainly seemed unsurprised of her form again.
Watching intently as he announced his experiment and suddenly pinched his skin, she winced and let out a feeble squirm. She clung to his shoulder a little tighter as drops of blood fell into the vial.
He continued the experiment, and her more curious animal side took hold. She almost fell off his shoulder watching.
"This may take a minute!" he said, the crackling and sizzling loud. So loud, in fact, Celeste wanted to switch back to a Human and cover her currently-sensitive ears.
The scene was magnificent. Sparkling and sizzling filled their spot in the gardens. She was amazed how such a man did this all with the help of a single book. But what exactly was in the book, she thought? How complex was it? And could anybody decipher it, or was it...nearly impossible?

Flower :

Finally the swirling slew of blue sparks stopped and the crackling faded away. Jack opened his eyes to see wha was created from his experiment. Inside the circle was the lilly, but instead of simply returning it back to life, it had turned translucent, almost as if turned to glass. Jack carefully picked it up, noticing it was still soft to the touch, almost like the flower was stuck between solid and liquid. Lifting it towards his shoulder where Celeste sat. "Smell it, it still has a nice aroma, yet it reminds me of murals upon stained glass windows. Truly remarkable!" He said excitedly. "I must write this one down." Jack pulled out the journal and started writing on the blank pages towards the back as not to disturb his fathers writings. Jotting down possible connections in relations to transparency of water and use of items with no moisture at all. Hypothesis' about different flowers having possibly different outcomes and so on. "Your welcome to keep that one. Maybe it will help jog your memory." He said with a blushing smile.

[Celeste Empyrean]

Celeste was amazed at the result; a beautiful, glassy-looking flower. It reminded her strangely of something she had seen before; perhaps a shard of glass she was all too familir with.
He told her she could keep it, she suddenly heard, and was honored to have the magical piece. But to hold it, she had to be a human!
Celeste crawled down his back and glided onto the floor, next to her horse. Out of sight from Jack, she switched back to a human. Her ...features were hidden by the Gildling, but the horse simply whinnied.
Jack turned to find her, just as she scooped up her clothing and shoved them on. She blushed accidentally. "Heh...excuse that, i completely forgot I would've been exposed afterwards!"
She bent over and picked up the flower; it was so beautiful, she quickly attached it to a string and set it over her head as a necklace. It was strange, however, how the flower reminded her so much of her supposed birthplace in the Sea of Grass.
